“I need four units stat!” Jen said as she rushed, pushing a stretcher away with a patient on it.

The patient groaned weakly, she’d lost so much blood she could applaud her for still being conscious.

“You’re going to be okay, just stay with me,” she reassured her, a girl who didn’t look like she had even hit seventeen yet.

“We need you here, Dr Harris!” One of the nurses in the ward called out.

Jen was exhausted, right when her shift was done and she was about to leave, the trauma ward was suddenly very active again. Of course it was, there had been a bus accident after all.

Dr Harris! Dr Harris! Dr Harris!

It was all she could hear. But it didn’t matter because this was just another day in her life. She wasn’t going to rest until everything was silent again, or at least under control.

Jen strapped on her gloves and got to work. “Stop,” she said to a nurse who was just about to administer more drugs to a casualty she’d just tended to. “What is his status?”

“He’s only getting worse,” the nurse explained.

Jen took less than ten seconds to examine the man. “Epinephrine. He’s having an allergic reaction. Let me know if his vitals persist on spiking.”

The nurse nodded and Jen walked over to the next patient. “What’s her state?”

“She’s got a concussion. Blunt force trauma. She was completely fine just a moment ago then suddenly started having convulsions,” a nurse practitioner explained to her.

Jen turned her head and studied her for any signs, then saw a odd colorings in patches on her hand. “Don’t stop the IV,” she said. “Prep her for surgery right now!”

As the patient was taken to an operating room, Jen quickly looked around then rushed to scrub in for surgery. But before she could, she was stopped.

“Thank you Dr Harris, but we’ll take it from here, go home and rest,” said Dr Russo.

Jen wasn’t having it. “You need all the help you can get, you know we just had an accident.”

It didn’t matter to Jen if she was tired, it was years of being a trauma surgeon honed into her bones. Once her brain switched to emergency mode, she was efficient and focused, sharp as a needle. Being tired ceased being an option anymore.

“We have accidents all the time, this is a hospital,” he said.

She made to argue. “A bus–”

“I am aware of the status of the trauma ward seeing as I am the head of it,” he said.

This conversation was pissing her off. She could have already scrubbed in by now.

“Remember Dr Harris, you’re human, just like the rest of us. I’m just preventing you from making a mistake. We have all the hands we need,” he said as he finished scrubbing in and walked into the operating room. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Jen was a little pissed off. She was made from stronger stuff, she knew that. She could handle a few more hours of being awake but there was no arguing with her superior when he got like that.

There was no hole in his logic, so Jen left. Tired, but frustrated as fuck.

•••

Michael Levin had the biggest disliking for the man who called himself his father. It wasn’t really hatred but there was no way he could say he loved his father.

His dad had just embarrassed him in front of all his associates and friends over how many things he was lacking in. Over how imperfect he was.

Time and time again, his dad always made it a point to remind him that he wasn’t the ideal son. Apparently, he missed his older son, James.

Yeah, he missed his older brother too. He wasn’t cut out for this type of life and all the demands that came with it. He wasn’t a born businessman like his father, nor was he talented like his brother. But that didn’t mean he was good for nothing.

“I don’t say these things to make you feel bad Michael, you know I love you. I’m just hoping you’ll get more ambitious, or at least stand up for yourself,” his dad said with a sad look in his eyes.

“Is that how your father treated you? Did he have no regard for your feelings as well?” Michael asked. “I am not a businessman dad, when are you going to accept that? I’m not like JJ, stop trying to make me him.”

He used the nickname he made up for his brother. Using his real name would never have sounded right to him. He could never resent his brother, no matter how much his dad made that possible. If anything, he wished he was here. But he had more pressing matters to handle. In other words, he’d started a life for himself.

“Take it easy Mike, I only said you were a little wet between the ears… among other things. No need for all this, let’s go back,” his dad said and went to touch his shoulder to usher him back into the room with his guests.

“You can go fuck yourself,” said Michael. He swatted his father’s hand away and decided he was done with the gathering and playing nice to his father’s friends.

He left the house regardless of his father’s protests. It was how he found himself in the club in need of a really strong drink.

It was after one glass that he noticed her. A dark-skinned woman at the far end of the bar.

All he could see was her profile, but he noticed she wore a black turtleneck with large hooped danglers and her hair tied in an extremely neat and high ponytail. She was also drinking his exact same drink.

She suddenly turned and for a few seconds, in his direction but looking at something else entirely.

Michael saw her face. Clear cut eyebrows and dark eyes. A pointy nose and a small mouth with luscious and succulent lips. He resisted the urge to lick his own.

She was definitely a lot younger than him, five years apart maybe. He was twenty-seven, so that would make her around twenty-two.

She was breathtaking and he couldn’t stop himself from already fantasizing.

What caught most of his attention before she turned back, was the scowl on her face. He could swear they were both in the same mood.

He played a thousand scenarios in his head, of him walking over and talking to her. Maybe if he was lucky, he’d make her laugh.

One of the scenarios was so realistic that he saw her right before him, sitting right there on the stool next to his and looking at him. But he knew for a fact that he was too shy to approach her. He didn’t have those guts.

“I hope you don’t think you’re hallucinating. I’m right here, and it is only polite that you answer me,” she said.

Michael half squeaked as he withdrew from resting on the counter.

          “I–I…” he stuttered.

“That’s a pretty blush,” the goddess before him said.

Michael wished he could hide, he hated that he always blushed at the worst times. He also didn’t do so well with confrontations, it was always the women that approached him.

“Thank you?” He asked. “You’re so… beautiful.”

“So are you, but thanks,” she said, getting more comfortable in the seat. “You were staring at me.”

If Michael wanted anything at that moment, it was for the ground to open up, and swallow him whole. “Yeah, sorry… You were looking uh, the way I felt.”

“And how is that?” She asked. He noticed how confidently she spoke. It was such a turn on.

“Frustrated,” Michael said and swallowed the last sip of his drink. “A little angry maybe.”

“That is true,” she watched him put the glass down. “Can I buy you another drink?”

Michael felt his dick twitch in his pants as most of his blood flowed to his crotch, creating quite the commotion internally. “You… Really? You want to?”

“Why would I not want to?” The woman asked, never taking her eyes off him.

“You’re like way out of my league,” he answered with all the sincerity his voice could carry.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you were blind,” she said with a smirk and signaled to the bartender, then turned back to him. “What’s your name?”

“I’m Michael, and…uh…concerning this frustration, I have a suggestion,” he said. He was being the boldest he’d ever been, but fuck it, she was unreal. “I’d–I’d like to know your name too.”

“I’m Jennifer. But call me Jen,” she said and fully turned to him, pinning him to the spot with her focus. “What is it? This… suggestion.”

Michael hesitated first then cleared his throat. It’s now or never, he thought. “I suggest … you take your frustration out on me.”

02

Michael was so adorable. He had dirty blond hair, or it was the lightest shade of brown, Jen couldn’t really tell. She only tried not to get lost looking in his eyes as he stuttered over his words. It was too cute.

She thought it couldn't get any cuter than that, until she heard him speak.

He had an unusually deep voice that tried to match his physical appearance, and failed at the same. He passed for a grown up and mature man, but the little tell tales in his actions was all she needed to glimpse the boyishness in him.

If he was suggesting what she thought he was, then she just might have hit the jackpot. Usually, she scared everyone away with her unusual preferences, so she'd put off trying to find anyone in a while. But she liked Michael. So much that she was already willing to take it slow. What she felt was an immense attraction. She didn't want to do away with it just yet.

After his suggestion, he blushed harder.

Jen cocked her head. "Are you sure?"

"Uh, yeah. I think it's a good idea," Michael said before his eyes widened. "Unless you don't want to of course. I didn't mean to-"

Jen stopped him. She blamed his deep voice, it was doing so many things to her. She leaned in and kissed him. His lips quickly understood what was happening and returned the action. They were soft; his lips, tempting her to go further.

Closer, she could smell him, a very light cologne that suited him perfectly. She pulled back and smiled at him, then kissed him again and pulled away altogether.

Michael quickly got up from his seat. "Oh my God, oh my God," he cupped his own cheeks and turned away from Jen. "You kissed me," he said.

She nodded, unable to take her eyes off him. "That's what it's called when two sets of lips touch."

     "I know, but like..."

She couldn't let him go. At least not yet. "Michael, look at me."

He slowly turned but kept his eyes on the floor. If anyone ever saw or heard him speak, they would never guess he was this shy. She held her hand out to him.

"Listen, I want to take you back to my place, I liked the sound of your suggestion. Take my hand and we'll walk out of here."

"You don't understand," said Michael. "I want you to hurt me."

Fuck.

"I understand well enough to picture you naked," she leaned in and whisperer the next part. "With bruises all over your skin."

Michael gasped like he was expecting to hear the total opposite. He slowly put his hand in hers.

•••

"I decided not to have a fully fledged Red Room, so we're going to have to make do with what we have here," said Jen.

Michael didn't mind that. He just couldn't tear his eyes away from Jen. He watched her mouth move and didn't miss any graceful movements she made. Having never felt so blown away by a woman before, he didn't know what to do, so he just listened.

Jen stood before him and put her palm against his chest. "Hm..." she said like she'd just made quite the observation. "Is this excitement...or are you scared?"

Michael swallowed as her hands moved anywhere they liked. "Answer me," she ordered.

      "Both," said Michael.

"Good," she whispered. He didn't know if she meant good for speaking or good for that particular answer.

She unbuttoned his shirt and discarded it on the floor. He couldn't take his eyes off her. It was already too hot, him half naked and her fully clothed. He wasn't sure he was going to last long, their first time might have to be shorter than expected.

"We'll start with what turns you on..." Jen said as her hands moved over Micheal's broad shoulders. "What you like."

Michael's tongue was caught up, as no words left his mouth. He grunted as Jen squeezed his hardness without breaking eye contact with him. She raised an eyebrow.

How did he stumble on such hotness?

"I...I'd love it if you tied my hands behind my back and hit me so hard I'd try to break free but wouldn't be able to," he responded. "I...I want those bruises you promised."

Jen looked at him like he was a kitten that'd just done the most adorable thing.

She cupped his jaw and stared into his eyes. Michael tried to keep looking back at her but he crumbled under that hot gaze, and not to mention how hard her nails were digging into his jaw. No, he definitely wouldn't last long. He whimpered before she let go and kissed him. Michael shamelessly moaned into the kiss.

"You're really hard, Mikey," said Jen. She let two fingers slowly run along Michael's length offering the slightest of touches. He twitched embarrassingly.

"If you keep doing that Jen—"

      "Shhh..." she whispered.

She did stop, but in the next five minutes, Michael's hands were tied. He lay on his stomach and faced the headboard while Jen tied his legs too. She got out a whip and calmly ran it across his face. "We'll only be using this," she said.

Michael could hear it in her voice, she just wanted to know how much pain he could take. "I can take more than that," he said.

"I bet," she replied. "But this will be enough...for now. You're already close, I cant get you too excited. But I will leave those bruises, mark my words."

"Okay," he accepted because he was sure he couldn't say no to anything she wanted, aroused beyond anything he'd ever expected.

Michael felt the whip travel slowly from the middle of his thighs, over his ass to his back, turning him on like a lightbulb in a dull room.

His dick was already hard, it had been ever since Jen locked the door. And when she finally hit him, he'd try to snuff out his thoughts just so he wouldn't come.

Micheal felt the whip's first lash somewhere in the middle of his back. He arched in pain but couldn't really do much about it, he loved it. It then moved to his thighs, face and every single part of his body. She seemed unable to let any area be untouched. He strained his confinements with the pain that landed after each hit.

Michael was trying to hold it with everything he had by the time Jen stopped. Her strict order was not to release yet, and he just had to follow it.

Jen closed a hand around his hard as stone member and stroked a little before releasing him. She kissed him unexpectedly, then bit his lips aggressively, and after that, they were like two wild animals.

Jen stopped the kiss and pulled away, and if Michael could, he'd trap her just so that she could keep kissing him.

"How are you feeling Mikey?" Jen asked calmly.

"I'm in heaven," said Michael with a little smile. His whole body was throbbing with pain in more areas than others. "I really am."

That was when Jen finally took her clothes off and untied him. Michael was like a mindless animal as he begged to fuck her.

Jen nodded and caressed his face as he entered her. The bed rocked with how hard he was going. "I'm so so close, Jen," he confessed.

"So am I, baby," she said. "But hold it."

Michael immediately stopped thrusting. "I can't...if you don't want me to come, I can't keep..."

Jen decided to torture him by moving instead. Michael was sure he looked like he could go crazy, and that's when she gave him permission. "Come for me Mikey," she said. "You've been really good."

Michael heard it and shuddered continuously, releasing inside her. Jen moaned in what he assumed was her release as well. She was trembling slightly in his arms as her breathing turned up a notch. "You are so hot," she said to him.

Michael immediately found her lips then fused them with his. His kiss was hungry and passionate, hers dominant and just as passionate, if not more.

Jen pulled away and before she could get off him, Micheal's hands held her in place. He was pleading inside his head.

Please don’t go. I’ll feel empty…

Jen laughed and held his hands where they'd fastened around her. "I'll be right back," she said and got up, finally releasing his dick. Michael couldn't help but want back inside her.

Jen was back with two items on her hands: an ice pack and a small white towel. She first passed the warm and wet cloth all over his body and it felt so good he tried not to moan, because of the warmth against the bruises all over his body. He was more alive than he'd been in a long while. How could she have done it with only a whip? What if they went further? He'd cease to breathe.

Jen was cleaning him up without leaving an inch out. But before she was even done, Michael pulled her down against him and she let out a laugh of surprise.

He held her close and refused to let go, completely silent.

“Michael baby,” said Jen. “I’m not done yet…your bruises need some ice.”

“No, I’m fine…” he replied. “They need you, not ice.” He added and blushed.

Jen chuckled. “You’re like a dream come true.”

Michael got butterflies and failed to look her in the eyes. “That’s how I feel about you,” he said and stroked her hair. “I think you may have imprinted on me.”

The two lay in each other’s arms for a long time, an hour or hours…any one of them could be the reality. Coupled with their infatuation for one another.

Michael wasn’t sure if Jen was asleep or not when he took his hand away from her hair. “Don’t stop doing that yet,” she said lazily.

He felt a little rush of pleasure just at hearing her voice. Michael continued stroking her hair tenderly. “Should I have called you something?”

Jen tightened her arms around him. “You can pick a title for me if you want. I usually just let people call me by my name,” she said. “But if it is important to you, then call me Miss. If you have something else in mind then let me know.” She turned to him and smiled.

“So we’re doing this again?” Michael asked. There was so much hope in his eyes.

“I was under the impression that you liked it, so why not?”

“I loved it,” he corrected. “Next weekend…I don’t want to sound desperate but I can get the entire weekend off.”

After saying that, Michael realised that he might have been going crazy. He’d never been so desperate before.

“Unfortunately, I can’t get the entire weekend off,” said Jen. “At least not this weekend. Most I could do is a day, but I’ll try to work something out. What did you have in mind?”

Michael hesitated. “I was hoping … you’d make me cry.”

03

The only way Michael could cover up his bruises completely was if he went for the little brunch with his father’s associates, looking absolutely ridiculous, covered from head to toe. That was it, and it was impossible. He wasn’t about to do that. So he wore his regular suit and tried not to think about anyone’s reactions.

His cheeks had light bruises. There was an unusual coloring on his wrist which anyone would see if he raised his hand. At least two hickeys could be seen trying to hide just beneath his collar. He liked the way he looked, in fact, he preferred it that way…he just wasn’t so sure everyone else would think the same.

His dad’s eyes tried to pierce a hole through his skull the entire time. It started with the look of shock from the moment he arrived, until now that they sat at the table.

His body still hurt a little, like an echo of the way it had been pushed the night before, with the promise of more that was yet to come. It felt so fucking good he couldn’t even be in a bad mood if he tried.

Finally, as something he had already anticipated and was just waiting for to happen, his dad couldn’t help it anymore it seemed. He pushed off his chair and got up. “Michael, a word outside,” he said and proceeded out to wait for his son.

“Did you walk out on me yesterday to go and get beat up?” Michael shrugged. “Why are you looking like that?”

Michael gaze simply shifted around as his silence drove the old man crazy.

“How could you come here covered in all those bruises?” His father’s lips curled back in disapproval.

His son only smiled. “I’ve never felt better,” he said.

“What?” His father questioned, a condescending look in his eyes as he processed the bold answer.

“You wouldn’t get it,” Michael replied.

His father sighed and shook his head. “Go home, you’re done here for the day.”

He didn’t need to tell him twice. He was out of there in the next two minutes and already driving back to his penthouse. Thinking of what to do in the car when he got back wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and once he was finally inside, he still wasn’t sure. He showered again, and this time knowing that he had the rest of the day off, he took the time to admire his body in the mirror, the evidence of all the pain from the night before. He loved it.

Michael dropped onto his couch and wondered how to kill his time and before he knew it, he was already dialing Jen’s number. She picked up and before she could even say anything, his face was already hot.

“Hello? Michael?” She asked skeptically.

Right.

“Yeah, hi Jen,” he asked, all the while unsure of himself.

“Hey! How are you?”

“I’m- I’m okay… uhh, what about you?”

“I’m great, honey, thanks for asking.”

Michael could hear the smile in Jen’s voice, and he could feel his heart beating in his throat. He must have been really distracted in his own awkwardness because he didn’t say anything for a long time. Enough time for Jen to speak again, this time with concern laced in her voice. “Are you really okay?” Her voice asked.

“Uh, yeah yeah,” he replied. Damnit, he should just cut the call but he wanted to hear her voice a little more.

“Okay, but you should tell me why you called, don’t you think?”

“To be honest, I don’t know…” Michael admitted.

“Oh,” Jen seemed surprised. She chuckled and he closed his eyes and bit his lower lip at the same time. “Well Michael, in that case, I’m going to ask you to wait a little longer. I have to scrub in for a surgery in the next five minutes, but right after I’m done, i’m going to call you back, okay?”

“Oh! Um, yeah sure…I mean, I’m sorry for calling. No I mean I’m getting in the way of your work,” Michael jumbled his words while silently praying for the ground to swallow him up. “Okay.”

“Michael,” Jen said firmly, enough to make him feel calmer inside.

“Hm?” He answered in a small voice.

“Just relax, I don’t bite…” she said. “Unless you want me to.”

Jen hang up the phone.

The phone didn’t leave Michael’s ears immediately. The heat traveled to every part of his face at once, then down to his toes. At that particular moment, he’d never wanted Jen more.

By the time Jen was done, it was getting late and Michael was really eager to hear from her. Maybe she had to get home first but Michael just couldn’t wait for when she was going to call. The call came eventually and it made his insides swirl in anticipation.

“I wish I could see you right now,” said Jen. Michael imagined she was on her bed, and totally relaxed because she sounded very seductive and calm.

Michael was more than ready to indulge her. “I really understand the way you feel Jen, so if you don’t think of me as a creep, I can make it to where you are in fifteen minutes.”

He heard a very deep sigh come from the other side. “The last thing that you are is a creep. Come over.”

Michael was in his car with only Jen in his mind.

Immediately she opened the door for him, Jen was backed against the wall as he kissed her, before even taking a proper look at her. He just grabbed her as soon as he had a chance to, his arms wrapping around her middle and squeezing tightly, as if she could get away.

Jen was quick to understand his desperation, or she was just as desperate as he was, because she opened up for him and their tongues collided, creating several sparks flying between them as their bodies attempted to fuse into each other.

Michael turned them around and used one hand to close the door, as the other remained securely wrapped around her, backing her up against the door. He finally pulled away and took a deep breath.

Michael smiled and finally took a proper look at her and then blushed, slowly letting go of Jen. “I’m sorry, I was too desperate.”

“Desperate is hot. I like it.”

“Really?”

“Really. And your voice is so sexy.”

Michael arched his brows and put a hand to his nape. “It’s uh…it’s a really deep voice, I’ve heard.”

Jen couldn’t get over how shy he was. “Do you know how cute you are?”

“It’s nothing compared to how beautiful you are,” Michael replied immediately.

Jen wasn’t expecting her heart to skip a beat but it did. It was the serious expression on his face, like he was stating something so obvious, and something that he had no doubt was a fact.

Jen pulled him down to meet her lips, then out of immense pleasure and contentment, she bit it hard and he moaned. Michael’s lips could possibly drive her crazy, but Jen always made sure to be careful whenever his lips threatened to devour her. She always had to summon quite an amount of will power just to make sure that Michael didn’t get any ideas of trying to get away from her and yet they’ve only just met and everything was perfect.

“Get on the couch and wait for me. close your eyes. I’ll be right back,” Jen said and Michael closed his eyes, “okay.”

The chapter is not supposed to end there. Sorry for the inconvenience, here is a free fact to read for the moment.

Did you know…

Fact: The circulatory system is more than 60,000 miles long

If a child’s entire circulatory system—we’re talking veins, arteries, and capillaries—were laid out flat, it would stretch for more than 60,000 miles, according to the Franklin Institute. By the time we reach adulthood, our bodies have become home to approximately 100,000 miles of blood vessels. That’s just one of the mind-blowing facts that sound made up (but aren’t).

  1. Did you know

Fact: German chocolate cake was invented in Texas

The “German” part of German chocolate cake comes from an American man—not a European country. Specifically, it’s named after Sam German, who in 1852 created the formula for a mild dark baking chocolate bar for Baker’s Chocolate Company, which was subsequently named Baker’s German’s Sweet Chocolate. Fast-forward to June 13, 1957. The Dallas Morning Star published the recipe for the cake, invented and submitted by a reader identified as Mrs. George Clay, according to What’s Cooking America.

  1. Did you know…

Fact: Human beings can use only a small fraction of Earth’s water

In school, we were taught that most (specifically, 71 percent) of the planet’s surface is covered in water. While that’s true, humans can use only 0.007 percent of that water, according to National Geographic. That’s because only about 2.5 percent of Earth’s water is fresh water, and only 1 percent of that is accessible. The rest makes up glaciers and snowfields. By the way, have you ever wondering why we can “smell” snow?
