1. Different Worlds

People always thought Brady talked too much but they had never met his family.

The Madison household was always filled with high pitched laughter, and obscene words that were uttered as a result of boys playing video games. They gathered in their home every weekend to be with each other because of the love they shared for one another. It was tradition now.

“Hey Liam, language! Hi sweetie,” his mother shouted at his older brother then stood on tiptoes to give Brady a peck.

“Sorry Ma!” Liam said while laughing.

“Hello mumzie!” Brady had a huge grin on his face despite the fact that he was tired. He hugged his mother tight.

He would have joined his brothers if he didn’t want to sleep so badly. Or if he wasn’t thinking so much. After hugs and several fist bumps, Brady rushed to the shower and then straight to his bed with promises to catch up in the morning.

Soon he was drifting off but something at the back of his mind remained restless.

Nobody knew it like the million things we don’t realize everyday but at the same Brady drifted off, somewhere, a man sat up in bed. He wasn’t sleeping well lately, always waking up at the most random hours and failing to go back to sleep. This man, his name was Leo.

With a sigh he left his bed. He went for a water like he always did, then went out to his apartment balcony to observe the night sky. And maybe witness the break of dawn, if the timing was right.

It wasn’t long before he felt tiny hands wrap around him. Before he could let himself relax into the touch, he realized he needed to snap out of it.

Lisa isn’t here anymore you idiot. He thought to himself.

It was the heartbreak that ached to almost a point he couldn’t take. It even had him losing sleep for God’s sake.

Sean had been his most pleasant distraction for quite some time but he officially belonged to somebody else.

What a man! He thought like he always did. He was so happy for them. If anyone asked him, Met deserved everything good and then some. He didn’t know Jade so well but he must have been really special to catch the attention of those two.

Leo wore a face everyday, one of seriousness and whatever it was normal people should look like. No one saw the mask that had melded till it became his face, the heart ache he wasn’t able to shake off no matter how hard he tried.

Sometimes it seemed like the universe was laughing at him. Sending a straight boy his path. God only knows what would have happened if things had been different.

He almost never kept his cool when something he wanted was available to him and seeing a certain guy had him scared for a second there.

He wondered what expression his face would have made if he had let the box drop, pushed him hard against the wall and pinned his hands above him. What would he have seen in those big brown eyes? But that chapter was over before it had even properly began.

He breathed out his second sigh of the night. “How much does the cure for insomnia cost?” he snorted at his own question.

Loneliness, that was the word that seemed more fitting. What did it take to cure loneliness?

So first chapter here! Thank you for reading

2. Bree

Brady woke up to his blanket being pulled off. He knew it had to be that four year old. “Bree is that you? Go play or something, Bray is sleeping.”

“But you pwomised to play with me! Wake up!”

“But I’m tired right now,” Brady said as he peeked at Bree through one eye. She stood looking at him with her eyebrows creased and bottom lip jutting out. Her curly hair falling on her shoulders, framing her beautiful brown face. She was so darn cute he knew he wasn’t going to stay in bed for long.

“But you pwomised!!!!” Bree literally began to screech until Brady gave in.

“Okay! Oh my God my ears are bleeding.”

“Yaaaayy!!” Bree said victoriously as she ran out the door. Brady chuckled and went to freshen up.

Brady’s family was not a very small one. Mr and Mrs Madison had three children of their own, but since the day they’d fallen in love, they’d wanted an army of children. And so over the years, they’d adopted four more. Brady was right in the middle. He had three older siblings and three younger ones. Although not all of them were biologically related, they’d grown up together and loved each other more than anything else.

Brady went out to find Bree crying with a tight grip on her knee. Everyone was still probably asleep. At her side at once was Brady, scooping her up into his arms. “What’s wrong Bree?  Did you scrape your knee?”

She nodded as tears ran down her face. “Want me to kiss it and make it better?” When she nodded again, he held it up and kissed her knee while her little hands wrapped around his neck.

“Better?” She nodded a third time and seemed to calm down. “Let’s go put some ice on it okay?”

“But I wanna play with you!”

“We have plenty of time for that later, I’ll even braid your hair!” Brady said cheerfully.

“Really?! Okay!” she grinned like a kid who wasn’t just crying a minute ago.

It wasn’t until Brady applied the ice that he remembered Bree’s glassy eyes, wet with tears. It had him thinking about one of the saddest eyes he’d ever seen.

What could be bothering the man who had introduced himself as Leo, he wondered. He’d noticed it the moment he’d turned around to see him.

He’d had eyes that couldn’t decide whether they wanted to be grey or blue, and within their conflict was the pain. Even through his glasses it was so vivid Brady couldn’t tell if he was trying to hide it.

Brady had to see him again, even if it was just to rub a hand down his back and tell him everything was going to be fine. Only problem was, he didn’t think Leo would like it. The man had practically grabbed the box from his hands and stormed off. Leaving him to wonder what he had done wrong.

Nevertheless, he wasn’t going to let it go. He would at least ask him if he needed somebody to talk to. And if he didn’t, he’d walk away from his life. Simple as that.

Brady pulled out his phone, he had a call to make.

3. Traitorous Tongue

When the stars had disappeared and let the sun dominate the sky, Brady found himself at Met enterprises. Maybe it was a bold move and maybe it was a stupid move but such reasons had never stopped him.

Jade would arrive in a few, but for now he was on his own, walking towards Met’s office. He’d state his business and get it over with. Easier said than done.

Met’s secretary smiled at him from behind her desk, calling Met and saying there was a Brady there to see him. “Go ahead,” she said to him after confirming through the call.

“Metty Met! How’s it going? Oh my!  Why do you look so dashing behind a computer screen? I mean it’s only a computer. Jesus! CEOs these days. I mean, they don’t make them like they used to.”

“Brady!” Met smiled at Brady’s theatrics. “What can I do for you?”

“Yeah about that, I kinda like have to see Leo? Is that okay?” Brady asked.

“Of course, I’ll call him in if he’s not busy.” Met said as he began to dial a number. “Is that all?”

“Wait no, don’t call him here I…um, I mean, isn’t there any other way?”

Met cut the call before Leo could pick up and narrowed his eyes at Brady. “Is everything okay?”

“Yes. No, I mean yes, everything is fine,” Brady couldn’t believe he could sound more stupid. But at least it seemed like Met had moved on and decided not to push the issue, because he stood up.

“Come on then, I’ll take you to his office,” Met said.

Thank you Jade for meeting this man! Brady squealed inside.

Brady wasn’t expecting to see Leo before he got inside his office but there he was, closing the glass door behind him.

He was dressed in a spotless white shirt that disappeared into black dress pants and he’d rolled up his sleeves to reveal muscular forearms where Brady’s eyes lingered for a beat too long.

His dark hair a bit tousled, an expressionless face except the eyes that were now looking at Brady’s as if he was a dodo bird.

“Oh perfect. Brady’s here to see you Leo, I have to go, Jade’s here. Good to see you Brady.” With that he left the two alone together, in other words he’d kind of started the timer on the bomb.

“Leo!” Brady said, ever in good spirits.

“Brady,” he kept his nod subtle.

God even the way he said his name was dark.

“Hi,” Brady said, feeling dumb. The only acknowledgement he got from Leo was a ‘hmm’ that sounded like a growl or a grunt.

What was he supposed to say now? When he had planned this out, he knew that he was going to crush it. But now he was at a loss for words. Brady couldn’t believe his traitorous tongue at one of his most desperate times.

What should he say? Do you need someone to talk to? Why are you so sad? He couldn’t think of anything he’d say and would not sound weird and Leo kept looking at him expectantly so he spoke before he could stop himself.

“Will you have lunch with me?” Brady said, cursing himself inwardly to no end.

If Leo was surprised, he didn’t show it. He simply turned around and walked back into his office, leaving Brady to stare after him like an idiot.

Brady pinched the bridge of his nose and paced a little while scolding himself.

He came to a decision then. He followed Leo in.

And thank you! ❤❤

4. Pinky Swear

Leo scoffed when he got back inside and sat down.

What the hell was that? He wondered. If he’d stayed out there any longer he was going to have an inappropriate problem.

The shy eyes that were aimed at him made him want things. Made him want to kiss Brady till he couldn’t figure out what one plus one was. If he had kept staring at him, the brown eyes, hair, and lush lips would get to him. And he would soon pitch a tent.

He knew Brady didn’t want him, his body language was enough to confirm it for him. And that’s why he couldn’t understand why Brady had invited him to lunch. Hopefully he was gone by now because whatever his plans were, Leo didn’t want to know. They barely even knew each other.

Just as he dismissed the thought, the door swung open and Brady sauntered in.

What the fuck?

Brady made himself at home and sat across from him. “You didn’t give me an answer,” he said boldly.

“If that wasn’t clear enough for you then I’ll spell it out, I’m not interested,” Leo said what his mind wasn’t thinking.

The look on Brady’s face was one of optimism and Leo wondered how he was supposed to deal with it.

“Look, I have no idea why you want to have lunch with me plus we barely know each other, forgive me if I don’t see reason here,” Leo said.

“Sure we know each other, I know you’re Leo, you know I’m Brady, I know you’re this company’s most valuable tech asset and you know I’m Jade’s most awesome friend,” Brady looked at him like everything made perfect sense. “Although, if you insist, I’ll tell you. My favorite color is yellow.”

“Why am I not surprised?” Leo muttered under his breath.

“Now will you have lunch with me? I promise I won’t have you kidnapped for ransom.”

And then Brady flashed him a smile, one he’d never seen before and he was a goner.

He wanted to tell Brady how off he was. That there was no one to pay his ransom, but that wasn’t a can of worms he was ready to open, so he clamped it shut and focused on that smile instead.

“You do realize, you’re asking me out right?” Leo asked because this was going to answer several questions at the same time.

At once, color flooded Brady’s cheeks. “Yeah, but not like that! I mean I am but I’m not asking you out, asking you out. It’s more like let’s go eat together.”

Brady blabbered on and on while Leo looked at him with amusement on his face. Who knew he could get so easily flustered. He wondered what other buttons he could push. But he was also starting to get curious about what Brady wanted. He’d just get it over with, once and for all.

“Fine,” he said. “But it’s one hour to lunch and I have to be at the lab for that time so-”

“I’ll come with! Pinky swear I won’t break anything,” Brady stuck out his pinky finger towards Leo and even shook it a little.

Leo looked at the finger first then at Brady’s face, he pulled his lips back in disapproval.

“Follow me,” he said and turned to walk without checking if Brady was actually following.

It was the second time he’d turned his back to Brady in the same morning.

5. Bad Liar

Leo was having a hard time concentrating at the lab.  It had been barely ten minutes and he had already made friends with almost half of the staff. Not to mention, he was everywhere at the same time.

“You’re really staring boss,” said Amanda with the lip gloss. “Who is he to you anyway?”

“Someone I know,” Leo said before bending his head to concentrate on his computer. An indication to Amanda that he didn’t want to be disturbed. All the while trying to fill his head with other things.

Luckily, there was a firewall that he was trying to take down and it was being difficult. Just what he needed.

Soon, a hand was being waved right in front of him. “Hey! Time to eat, let’s go,” Brady said. Leo looked at his watch and indeed it was time but he was so close to taking down the firewall, so he went back to it.

“Just a minute,” he said. It got uncomfortable when he realized Brady was staring at him the entire time. So he looked up. “I’m almost done Brady, just one last thing.”

“Okay,” Brady cleared his throat. “Yeah, of course.”

Jesus how confusing could someone be.

                _____________________

The first thing Leo noticed was that Brady was a big eater, it was a wonder he was lean. But he couldn’t help but look at the way he ate his food, or the way his Adam’s apple bobbed when he swallowed.

Suddenly he pictured Lisa, smiling as he fed her, then nipping at his finger, ahh, she was a naughty one.

Leo snapped out of his reverie to find Brady’s intent eyes studying him. “There it is again, those eyes.”

“What about my eyes?”

“They are so sad,” He said and Leo was instantly taken aback. He wasn’t expecting that, all his months of discretion and keeping hurt to himself blown up in an instant.

And just when he was beginning to hope, that maybe he’d guessed wrong and there was a slim chance that Brady was maybe interested in him, he’d been mocked by the universe yet again.

“So this is why you asked me out here? All because of pity. Besides I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You’re a bad liar,” Brady shook his head while he said it.

Leo stood up to leave, and Brady followed him. “What’s your address,” he asked in his rush to get in the car.

“I don’t understand why you are so upset, than can only mean it’s true,” Brady complained but still gave his address.

They got to Brady’s place but none of them got out of the car. “Why do you deny it?” Brady asked.

“Thanks for the concern, but that’s my personal life, don’t interfere. All this is so weird.”

“It’s only weird that you get so worked up over it, I’m here, so like um…talk to me or something.”

Leo got out of the car so fast that Brady couldn’t think about what was happening.

In his haste to get out too, he found Leo already there, pushing him flush against the side of the car. He was caged and Leo’s lips were just an inch from his. He tried not to focus on the growing erection pressed against his thigh.

“Would you like me to kiss you?”  Leo asked and suddenly the temperature climbed.

“I’m straight,” he replied. His voice shaky for whatever reasons.

“That’s what I thought. Don’t show yourself to me again, because that’s all you make me think of.”

Leo got in his car and drove off. Brady was left standing, watching after the wheels, dumbfounded, hot and bothered.

6. It’s So Big

The invitation was gold and blue, beautiful and delicately designed to the last detail. Brady studied it before opening it.

He couldn’t stop the smile that spread across his face, even if he tried. Trying to wrap his head around the fact that Jade was actually getting married, but way too happy to care.

He wondered if he would see Leo there. The way they had left things was weird, it was almost a week since he last saw him and he still felt awkward just remembering it.

How could Leo be hot for him? He knew he joked around a lot but he wasn’t that great and besides, he’d never been attracted to the same sex before.

“Wish we could be friends,” Brady said and then sighed.

He did enjoy being in Leo’s company. There was something about him, somewhere between being difficult and being angry at him for whatever, Brady decided he liked Leo. Although he couldn’t lead him on, it wasn’t fair and he wasn’t that kind of person.

Still he gave it a thought, and still it turned out complicated.

Brady bit his bottom lip and pulled out his phone.

            _________________________

The water sprinkled down the shower and warm onto Leo’s body.

He was in the middle of scolding himself with one hand on his hard dick.

So much for trying to keep your lewd thoughts at bay Leo, he thought to himself.

He wasn’t able to keep Brady out of his thoughts lately, no matter what he tried.

And now he pictured those ever bright eyes filled with lust and desire for him as he fed him his cock. As Brady’s muffled moans became louder in his head, his hand pumped his cock faster. When Brady had darted his tongue out to lick a drop of come on his upper lip, Leo came so hard he had to put one hand on the shower wall for support, breathing hard and keeping his eyes shut.

When all the come was washed away, along with the shame down the drain, Leo got out of the shower.

He was drying off when out of habit, he checked his phone, a few new texts.

What he read made him still, a towel in his hair. Putting on his glasses for better focus, he read on.

’hi! i really need your help. it’s kind of urgent. it’s me

brady

. if you are wondering how i have your number, wonder no longer. for i,

brady

, am most certainly a man of many talents’

Ugh, this was so him Leo was certain he was going to have a headache just reading the rest.

’give me your address,

i’ll

come explain everything’

‘i’m just going to assume you are taking a really long shit without your phone and not ignoring me’

When the bottom of the screen indicated that Brady was typing yet again, Leo replied before he could be barraged again.

‘what do you want, i told you to steer clear of me’

Not long after, there was a reply.

‘i need to come over so i can explain. please say you’ll help me’

Leo thought about it. Maybe he really needed his help, and it wasn’t cool to not help someone, especially if you could. Ah but Brady.

‘fine’ he texted, and gave Brady the details.

As he waited for Brady, he dressed up and repeatedly sent mental messages to his dick to behave.

It didn’t take very long before he went to open the door for Brady.

Brady looked way too happy for someone who needed help. And that’s how he knew this couldn’t really be serious.

“So what do you want?” Leo went straight to the point.

“Nice to see you again too. Can I come in?” Brady didn’t even wait for an answer.

Leo rolled his eyes as Brady walked past him, leaving behind a scent of something bubbly and boyish he couldn’t quite place.

“Wow nice place. It’s so big!” Brady looked around before dropping his whole weight on the sofa. “And comfortable,” he said in a dreamy voice.

“I think my computer’s broken, it won’t work and all my work’s in there.”

“Bullshit,” Leo said immediately and when Brady didn’t answer, he noticed he actually meant it.

“Seriously! You came all this way for that?” Leo scoffed, he couldn’t believe his ears.

“But it won’t work, it won’t even open,” Brady twiddled his index fingers as he looked up at Leo, eyes feigning innocence.

Fuck me, Leo thought.

“Fine, let’s see,” immediately Leo pressed the power button, the computer lit up to life and Leo pinched the bridge of his nose. Brady was such a swindler.

“What did you say the problem was? It wouldn’t start? And you didn’t think the power button existed for good looks did you?”

Brady just looked at Leo and shrugged. “You’re a genius you know,” he said.

“I literally just pressed the power button! Have you not used a computer before? Gosh I can’t believe this.”

Brady used that moment to walk to the fridge.

“Here, do you want a water? I couldn’t find anything else,” Brady said, holding two bottles of water and extending one towards Leo.

“What’s next, you’re going to let me sleep in the guestroom?” Leo shook his head, but took the water anyway.

“Only if you are good to me,” Brady leaned in and lightly tapped Leo’s nose before his eyes fell onto the invitation card. His hands then.

“Jade’s wedding!” Brady said, the joy in his face undeniable. “You know, we should go together.”

“No,” Leo said without thinking twice.

“Come on! Why not?” it dawned on Leo that the part where he wanted him seemed to have gone past his mind.

But here was a chance to get the message across, to make Brady understand. He took it.

“Because I’m going with my boyfriend,” Leo said unwaveringly.

But he wasn’t prepared for what came next, it played with his insides and took a fair amount of willpower to not take his words back.

He didn’t like it one bit, the way Brady’s face fell.

7. Phone Calls

He heard it, but it shouldn’t have shocked him. He shouldn’t have reacted, but he did. Why? That was what he couldn’t answer.

“You have a boyfriend,” Brady stated, rather than asked.

“I do, does that surprise you?” Leo decided to answer with a question.

“Well where is he?”

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think that’s rather demanding,” Leo said and Brady seemed to catch himself then.

“Oh yeah sorry you’re right,” Brady had no choice but to trust his word until further notice. Not that it mattered to him anyway. He’d be happy to go with Bree and his mom.

“I should get going then,” Brady couldn’t believe he was the one saying this. “Thanks for fixing my computer, you’re a lifesaver,” he remembered how cute Leo had looked when he was angry.

“You’re welcome, although it was working perfectly fine.”

After Brady had gotten back, he lay on his bed thinking. Thinking about what he would do for two weeks. Two weeks till the wedding, two weeks until he could see Leo again.

            _________________________

Once Brady had left, Leo weighed his options, he had to go through with the lie he had told and knew just the man for the job.

He dialed a number and soon the other person had picked up.

“Hey asshole, you must have committed a crime to be calling me. What is it, need me to bail you out?” the voice asked.

“I need a favor,” Leo ignored his prior words.

“Oh? Leo the great needs my help? I thought this day would never come.”

“Shut up Alex, will you help or not?”

“Okay shoot,” Alex said.

“There’s a wedding in two weeks, I need you to be my boyfriend on that day,” Leo said straight to the point.

“Hmm are you trying to make someone jealous?” Alex chuckled richly. “I love the sound of it.”

“Not exactly. I’m trying to make someone stay away from me, so I told them I have a boyfriend,”

“Now why would you go and say that?”

“He’s straight.”

There was a bit of shuffling on the other side of the call before Alex spoke once more. “You want him don’t you? I can’t mistake the regret I hear in your voice. And that’s even better,” Leo could hear the evil smile spreading across his face.

“I’ll see what I can do. I’ll be there,” Alex had his finality to his voice.

Thank you for reading❤

8. The Wedding

There were no church bells but the brightness of the sun made up for it. The willows swayed with the grace that countless dancers had failed to fully master. It was going to be a beautiful wedding.

The already scattered petals were momentarily lifted by the breeze only to settle as if undisturbed once again.

Bree loved how it looked. To the eyes of a child it looked magical, almost like a fairytale in a garden. She tugged at her brother’s hand. “It’s so pretty Bray!” she sounded delighted.

“It is isn’t it?” Brady said, which caused Bree to instantly look at him. That was the voice he always used when he was distracted.

“What are you looking at?” Bree tried to follow Brady’s gaze to where it kept trying to focus across from the aisle.

“Nothing,” Brady mumbled.

Bree thought he was a liar, because he still hadn’t looked at her so she pulled at his hand till he was facing her. “Liar liar pants on fire,” she said.

She  had his full attention now. “No Bree my love, I just thought I saw someone,” he brushed his nose with hers.

“I know! It’s those two holding hands isn’t it? You think he’s pretty!” Brady was taken aback but didn’t ask further, sometimes Bree was so quick with her words. It might have even been his doing.

He took her attention somewhere else instead. “Look the wedding is starting!”

That did the trick faster than he thought. The best thing about children being so simple.

Brady tried to get his mind out of a jumble. Leo really was there with his boyfriend. His boyfriend looked dangerous but regal at the same time. He dressed formally but casually. He was everything in between.

He had noticed how amazing Leo looked, in a suit that hugged all the right places. Hair combed back which made his ful vue glasses that Brady never failed to notice, all the more. Although with the suit, they looked extremely sexy. Not that he cared or anything. So he decided to focus on the wedding.

The three grooms looked so authentic in their black tuxes. They looked overwhelmingly handsome, and they could not take their eyes off each other.

Brady almost never cried, he was no crier but there was something about this wedding, seeing his Jade so loved that threatened to bring tears to his eyes.

He watched as Met slipped a ring on to Sean’s finger, who in turn slid one onto Jade’s finger until finally, Jade slid the final ring onto Met’s finger and soon they were kissing each other like they weren’t aware of the number of people in attendance.

Brady cheered on top of his voice, along with Bree and the rest of the people. When the grooms had began to mingle, he went to find Jade.

He spotted him chatting with a few people he didn’t know but went over anyway. “Hi! I’m just going to steal him for a little bit,” Brady said to the older couple who were probably Met or Sean’s friends as he pulled Jade away.

He immediately pulled Jade into a tight hug. “As your mama, this is the proudest day of my life,” he felt Jade’s smile rather than saw it.

He pulled away from him by the shoulders to take a good look at him. “You look rather stunning Mr Jade Williams Lancet.”

Jade seemed to flush upon hearing the names he had taken up as a result of the union between him and his men.

“I’m not used to it yet you know,” this Jade was one Brady still couldn’t wrap his head around. He was so happy it was contagious.

“But you love it don’t you?”

“I do Brady, more than I let on. And in case I’ve never made it clear, now’s a good time as any. Just this once I’ll admit you’re like the most amazing friend ever and I love you.”

“Should I be jealous?” Sean said as he wrapped his arms around Jade from the back. “It is my wedding day after all,” he kissed the side of Jade’s neck, making him shrink at the public display of intimacy.

“I’ll make it up to you,” Jade smiled. “Tonight,” he whispered so that only Sean and Brady heard him.

Sean turned Jade around so fast someone could think something was wrong.

“Congratulations to you guys,” Brady said even if he was sure they had already forgotten his presence. They kept on looking at each other like they couldn’t decide if they wanted to kiss or leave.

Imagine being that much in love! Brady thought.

“Yeah I’ll just leave you two to it,” He said as he slowly walked away.

                _____________________

Leo had just watched one of the best weddings he’d been invited to. Between the three grooms, was love as clear as day, no one could say otherwise.

But his mind only thought of Brady rubbing noses with an adorable little black girl.

Alex had refused to let his hand go the whole time, in the name of ‘he knew what he was doing’.

“He is quite a beauty. I wouldn’t let him go if you hadn’t seen him first,” he had said when he’d figured out who Brady was.

He wasn’t to blame though, Brady moved as if he didn’t know he had dressed to kill. Like he knew it would make Leo want to piss all over him and mark him his.

“Pretend I’m saying something funny and laugh,” Alex whispered in Leo’s ear.

Leo laughed as Alex pretended to fix the front of his suit and pulled him into an embrace. “I think we scored one. Your boy is coming over,” he felt Leo tense against him.

“Relax,” Alex said before crashing his lips onto Leo’s, although he had to pull Leo down for it because he was shorter.

Leo dominated the kiss in no time. Kissing Alex like he couldn’t get enough of his lips. By the time they pulled apart, Brady was right there looking as uncomfortable as hell. Like he needed the smallest excuse to leave.

“Leo!” he smiled brightly. He’d said his name like he had been waiting two weeks to say it again. “And…”

“Alex,” Leo said.

“His boyfriend,” Alex added and smiled wider. Brady almost didn’t return the smile. Almost.

“Nice to meet you, uh Leo, Met’s looking everywhere for you,” Brady said.

“Oh okay,” Leo said and dropped a quick kiss to Alex’s cheek. “Be right back baby,” he said.

Brady crossed his arms once Leo had left, he looked at Alex.

“You did that on purpose didn’t you? What do you want to say to me?” Alex asked.

“You don’t look like you love him,” Brady stated.

“I’m sorry but this is your concern, why?”

“Because he needs it, lots and lots of it. If you loved him you would have noticed the dark circles under his eyes for example or how sad he looks.”

“Who says I haven’t?”

“Well do something about it then, you are his boyfriend,” Brady said.

“Or what?” Alex was the picture of calm and collected.

Alex watched as Brady remained quiet. He tried his best not to smile. Brady was so cute. And what was most surprising was that he cared for Leo liked he’d known him for years. They would be perfect together.

“Just take care of him, if you don’t want to, I’ll gladly do it for you,” Brady smiled at him.

Alex just stared at him. You idiots better end up together. He thought to himself.

Brady walked away after saying a few formalities and Leo joined him once again.

“Sometime in the near future, remember to invite me to your wedding,” Alex said.

“Have you taken any alcohol?” Leo couldn’t help but wonder.

“And if that’s what you call straight then I might as well be Lego batman.”

“Don’t even dare.”

“Remember Leo, I’m always right.”

Brady was restless after the wedding day. He kept on thinking back to it. The images burned into his brain. Leo kissing his boyfriend Alex. He didn’t know how to feel about it.

He didn’t like it for sure but he wasn’t jealous. Because he didn’t like Leo in that way. He shouldn’t be thinking so much about it.

When Leo had laughed at something Alex had said, he had actually pictured himself saying it.

Who was he kidding, he hated it! He hated it all. Especially seeing Leo with someone who didn’t deserve him.

On the second day, he couldn’t take it. Which is why he found himself storming into Leo’s apartment after he’d opened the door. He looked at him. Before Leo could say anything he spoke.

“I don’t like him,” he said.

9. Poor Cushion

Leo stared unbelievably at Brady. “Who? Alex?”

“Yes, Alex,” Brady replied.

“You’re here because you’ve met my boyfriend once and now you have him all figured out? How is this any business of yours? Why do you care so much anyway?”

“I just do okay?” Brady said. “I hated seeing you together the whole time,” this part, he muttered under his breath but Leo still caught it.

“Are you perhaps jealous?”

“No!” Brady said a bit too sharply, a bit too defensively. There was no way Leo wouldn’t notice. “I just think you deserve better, someone who cares more.”

Leo ignored the way his heartbeat fastened and decided that teasing Brady would be the easier way to deal with it. Anything to hide what he really felt at that moment.

“What part didn’t you like the most? “The part where we held hands,” Leo backed him up until he was against the kitchen wall, one arm shooting past the side of Brady’s head and resting palm flat on the wall. “Or the part where we kissed?”

“I- I…um,” for the first time since he’d met Leo, his words faltered. “I shouldn’t be bothered by that…it’s um…”

“You shouldn’t, and yet here you are,” Leo hooked one finger under his chin and leaned in, he ran his thumb at the corner of Brady’s mouth then over his bottom lip. So soft.

“I’m giving you one chance to back off right now, I’ve already told you once about how you make me feel, don’t test me.”

“You wouldn-”

Leo swallowed the rest of his words with his lips. As he tasted Brady for the first time, he realized the lush lips he always stared at were as soft as they looked, the way they quivered and trembled lightly beneath his was almost more than he could bear, it was so worth it.

He had to keep himself in check and remind himself not to devour Brady whole.

He snaked his arm around Brady’s waist and held him tighter than was necessary against him, never breaking the kiss. He needed it too much, like it wouldn’t be real and he’d wake up if he even dared to stop for a moment.

Just when it finally seemed like Brady was going to kiss him back, he felt his hands lightly pushing at his chest. Oh fuck. He broke the kiss but didn’t let him go.

“Wouldn’t what? Kiss you?” he asked between heavy breaths as he smirked at Brady.

“I- Isn’t this… Isn’t this ch-cheating?” Brady asked but all the while kept his gaze on Leo’s chest, like he was afraid to look him in the face.

Leo couldn’t take his eyes off him, his cheeks were so flushed, so pink and he was sort of pouting. Not to mention the fact that he had reduced him to a stuttering mess. Damnation if he didn’t want him all over again.

“For a straight guy, your priorities are a bit off don’t you think?”

Leo hoisted Brady up and set him on the counter, loving every second of the startled gasp he let out. In the haze of the thin line between want and need, he weighed close to nothing.

His heart skipped at the way Brady’s hands tightened around his biceps. Hooking his hands under Brady’s knees, he spread them apart. Wedging himself between Brady’s thighs, he claimed his mouth once more. He licked at the softness of his lips until he opened up slightly.

Leo wasted no time in shoving his tongue into Brady’s mouth, needing a taste. His desperation probably made him look pathetic but he didn’t care, this was too good to be true.

He groaned when Brady crossed his legs around his waist. He felt his hands tremble when they went to grip his hair and then finally, finally it rained cats and dogs because Brady kissed him back.

He was drunk, so intoxicated he didn’t know where to focus. Brady’s little whimpers had him so painfully hard he didn’t think there was a sound more beautiful. The crook of his neck as he exposed it to Leo to drop more kisses, the way he smelled. Holy fuck! the way he smelled! Leo pulled in a long whiff and bit at his neck before licking over the spot.

He couldn’t help himself, and he needed more.

He placed his hands underneath Brady’s shirt to just feel the skin there, the lean muscles- he needed to see it for himself, the glorious body he felt under his palms.

He began to lift his shirt off when two smaller hands closed around his wrists, halting him. “No,” Brady said.

The spark of hope died when Brady pushed against him and got off the kitchen counter.

“I can’t- I can’t…” he made to leave and it was like a bucket of cold water was poured all over Leo. The magical moment gone. In its stead, reality, the ugliest of places.

“Brady wait,” Leo called out just as Brady’s hand rested on the door handle. He stopped, but he didn’t look back.

“Now that I’ve had a taste of you, you really better stay away this time, there’s no telling what I’ll do the next time I see you,” Leo tried his best to hide how much it stung, Brady’s rejection.

Brady didn’t reply, he just unlocked the door and left.

Leo stared several moments at the closed door after Brady had left. Balling his fists, he went to the living room and plopped heavily onto the couch.

“Fuck!” he punched the cushion before he ran his hands through his hair, sighing deeply and willing his erection to go down. “Fuck,” he said again.

Not even Lisa had made him feel that way.

I sort of feel like I was so dramatic while describing this chapter but I hope you still liked it!

Do you think Brady’s has finally gotten the point?

I hope you’re having a nice time wherever you are, thank you for reading!❤

10. Bruised Skin

What the hell is happening to me? Brady asked himself for the umpteenth time.

He looked back at himself from the mirror, fingers rising only to trace his lips, then his neck, everywhere Leo had been. He still felt Leo’s lips vivid as a cloudless day.

Why did you kiss him back you dimwit!

All because he’d gone and told a lie! Brady loved everybody. He didn’t exactly like Alex but he didn’t hate him either.

He had been petty and he knew it, Brady just wanted an excuse to check on Leo and discard of all the thoughts of him and Alex that found their way into all corners of his brain.

The truth was that he’d lost himself in the moment and his body acted on its own accord. One minute resisting one of the hottest kisses ever and in the next, a slave he’d become, shackled and forced to attain life from it.

Brady would lose his mind if he didn’t talk to someone. Jade was that person and probably the best idea he had all day. He pulled out his phone, fingers fidgety as he dialed Jade’s number. After about four rings, he picked up.

“Yeah?” Brady still couldn’t figure out why Jade could never just say ‘hello’ like everyone else.

“Hey Jade, um… are you doing something important at the moment? I kinda need to talk to you,” he played with his fingers unconsciously.

“Yeah, of course, I mean let’s talk, are you alright?” Jade asked. His relationship with Jade had progressed so much in such a short amount of time, to a point he could hear the worry in his voice at times like this.

“It’s nothing big, I’m in the mood for ice cream though,” Brady answered.

“Hmm, it must be big then, I’ll meet you in thirty. Same place?”

“Yep, okay then,” Brady hang up the phone.

Forty minutes later, Jade sat next to Brady looking out of a glass window eating ice cream. Brady had mint and chocolate scoops with way too many sprinkles, while Jade just had vanilla.

Brady stared at how pretty the ring looked around Jade’s finger. Then almost immediately got disappointed in what Jade had ordered.

“Your ice cream is ever so boring,” Brady told him, like he’d been telling him since they had their first ice cream together.

“My ice cream is just fine, you’re just way too extra,” Jade answered.

“Oh please, this isn’t even my most complicated order. Besides, I really need the mint and sprinkles at the moment, but I couldn’t let the chocolate go,” said Brady, satisfied with his explanation.

“Which is why it must be really serious,” Jade said almost nonchalantly. Had Jade always known him so well or was this just new? He couldn’t tell. With Jade, you almost never could. “What the hell happened?”

Brady suddenly became shy, amusing Jade more than usual and that was saying something because Brady was really amusing. “Okay this should be interesting, spit it out,” he said.

“Okay, so…I got kissed,” Brady stopped  like Jade was supposed to figure out the rest, or what was so tale worthy about the kiss.

“I know the names of half the girls you’ve kissed, so what’s the big deal?

“This was a bit different, it was by a guy,” Brady then stuffed his mouth full of ice cream so he wouldn’t have to say anything for a while, the mint making love to his taste buds.

“Oh,” Jade said, the point seemed to hit home then. “Oh!” he said as his eyes widened.

And then just as the point dawned on him, Brady realized a storm was beginning to brew in Jade’s eyes.

“Mother— who the fuck forced themselves on you?!” Jade spat, ice cream forgotten.

Brady had seen an angry Jade a handful of times, it was the scariest shit and definitely not appropriate for such a time, so he placated him.

“I kissed him back,” Brady risked a brain freeze this time, putting a very large chunk of mint in his mouth.

Jade on the other hand, did a double take, “You what?!”

Brady made a show of keeping his ice cream longer in his mouth. After what seemed like forever, he went on.

“Yeah, I also sort of let it go on,” Brady tilted his head and exposed his neck, pulling down the collar of his polo shirt so that Jade would be able to see the bruised skin.

“Okay was it that intense?” Jade looked at the hickey, probably thinking about how Brady could never fail to amuse him.

“It kind of was,” Brady said.

“Do you like him at least?” Jade couldn’t help but ask.

“No, at least not in that way, I know I’m still straight. I just don’t get why I did it, why I kissed him back. He even gave me a chance to leave, but I thought he was joking and next thing I knew…” Brady made a shrugging motion. “And to top it all off, he has a boyfriend! Does that make me a horrible person?”

“Not necessarily, he kissed you after all, does he seem like the type who would cheat on his boyfriend?”

“No,” Brady thought about it. “Actually no.”

“Okay, tell me about this guy.”

Brady took a deep breath. “Okay, obviously I didn’t know anything about him when we first met but I did notice he had these really sad eyes. Turns out he’s a really cool guy, but he’s so stand off-ish and never really talks about himself, I’m trying to be his friend and maybe be there for him and I get the feeling that he is really lonely although his apartment is really big but then there’s the fact that he has a boyfriend who’s kinda like never there, he’s also really polite. And can you imagine he only has water in his-”

“Breathe Brady! Breathe,” Jade told him. “I can see why you got involved with him. And just so you know, there’s no boyfriend.”

“What? No, I met him myself,” Brady countered.

“I’ve lived a really wild life Brady, trust me, I know these things,” Jade told him.

Brady still didn’t look convinced but he let it go. “Do you think I should apologize?”

“What for?”

“I led him on, then left him there, you know, aroused-”

“Oh Brady! You—”

It was beautiful weather, only a tad bit cloudy and a little wind that blew the little bit of red at the corner of his eye.

The red scarf disappeared behind a big tree, where he knew she’d be waiting for him. Leo followed the sound of her laughter to it. That soft, beautiful sound.

He reached it in no time but who he found there was not Lisa, it was Brady.  He opened his mouth to speak but closed it right back as a stinging pain flooded his cheek. Brady slapped him hard. “Go to her,” he said, pointing to nothing.

Leo walked anyway, and suddenly there was Lisa, smiling at him with open arms.

When he was finally in her embrace, he relaxed. Like he’d been dying to do so for ages and the moment was finally here.

“ Leo,“ she said but he didn’t respond, only relaxed further. “I don’t love you anymore, she said and he panicked.

Leo’s panic woke him up, a slight tremor passing through his body and only relaxing when he realized that he was besides himself in the big room. “I’m so sick of this,” he said.

He knew he wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. The arms of Morpheus already a long way off. It was always the same way. His throat felt parched. He needed water so he threw the covers back and got up.

First it was the water, then the night sky, the fucked up routine that was slowly becoming a ritual.

With bare feet and an aching heart, Leo stepped out onto his balcony.

11. Cheesy

Leo was having a work related chat at Met’s office, the CEO was very thorough about everything concerning his company. Which was one of the things Leo admired most about him.

Considering all this, it was reasonable for Leo to get shocked when Met narrowed his eyes at him for a while, and said what he did.

“Wouldn’t you like to take a break? Say, a vacation. For a month or so. On  the company of course,” Met paused like he expected Leo to say something. “You must be wondering why I’d bring such a thing up, that’s simple. It’s because you deserve it.”

“I don’t know why you’d think that,” Leo said, showing no outward reaction.

“You’ve been working more than ever and to be honest I’m a bit worried, you’re starting to look a little tired,” Met told him.

Met always cared for his own and this was a fact. And if he cared to this extent about his staff, then one had to wonder how much his men were exactly receiving.

“You have nothing to worry about. And thanks for the offer but I’m fine,”

“If you change your mind then.”

“I don’t think I will,” Leo was sure as he said it.

At this, Met raised his hands in surrender. “Okay then,” he said.

About five minutes after, Leo was back in his office, head hung low over his desk. In the next minute his phone pinged with a message. Not bothering to check who had sent it, he read the brief text.

‘i’m sorry’

His heart did a flip when he realized it was Brady, then deflated again when he reminded himself of what had happened.

He didn’t bother to reply to the message and instead put his phone away.

Before he could properly concentrate on his craft, another ping.

’don’t ignore me. say something.

pleasse

Then another, even before a minute had gone by.

‘i want to make it up to you’

Leo couldn’t help but think that was something he could work with, but either way, he put his phone on silent and tucked it into his pocket to focus on his work, Brady be damned.

              ______________________

Leo felt comfortable in his sweats and T-shirt after he’d showered and sat down to relax after work. He ordered for a pizza and perused through all the notifications he’d dismissed. The amount of messages Brady had sent him was insane. If phones could breathe, his would be suffocating.

His doorbell rang, and he went to get the door. That was really fast . His pizza was here.

Leo unlocked the door, then pulled it open and put his hand out to take the box. But it wasn’t a pizza delivery guy that was waiting for him on the other side, it was Brady. And he looked pissed off.

Leo pulled Brady by the hand and yanked him inside. “I’m starting to think you might really be addicted to me. What the hell are you doing here?!” he couldn’t help but notice how Brady’s orbs sparkled, they were beautiful.

“Oh you know, just grazing my animals,” Brady sounded angry, like he had any right.

“Cut the crap Brady, you know what I said the last time. So let me ask you nicely. Get out.”

“I can’t do that,” Brady said audaciously.

“Come here and kiss me then,” Leo heard the words leaving his mouth.

“I’m not gay.”

“Then stay the fuck away from me,” he looked at the sunshine before him, defiance in his beautiful eyes, being difficult and stubborn. Oh how he wanted to whisk him away to an island no one would find them. How he tempted him.

“I can’t do that either, and so I was hoping maybe we could be friends.”

“Friends?” Leo almost laughed at the absurdity of the situation. “Friends don’t do the kinds of things I want to do to you.”

Brady gasped audibly immediately the words left Leo’s mouth. Leo on the other hand, couldn’t deny the fact that he liked that sound. Something inside him softened at how easily he could get Brady flustered. He liked that fact more than he admitted. He looked at Brady who’d suddenly gone quiet, cheeks flushed.

“It’s cute you know,” Leo had to admit.

“Wha-” Brady tried to ask but swallowed the rest of his words when he noticed that Leo was all over his space.

“That every time you’re embarrassed, you blush and pout.” Leo then slowly nibbled at his bottom lip. Feeling the sparks like the last time he’d had a taste, as if he wasn’t the one initiating the kiss.

All at once, the hunger was back, he wanted Brady and he wanted him now. With no warning, Leo deepened the kiss and pulled Brady closer to him. Much to his surprise, Brady kissed him right back this time. Yeah, straight my ass. He thought.

His cock started to get so hard against Brady’s crotch so he decided to put Brady to the test.

As much as he hated to, he pulled away briefly from the entanglement of their lips. “My bed, the couch, or right here on the floor?” Leo pecked Brady’s lips. “Where would you like me to ravage you?”

Brady’s gasp was so satisfactory that Leo smiled into the kiss. Letting his tongue slide in and collide with Brady’s waiting one. And that was the moment he felt it, Brady’s semi hard on against his own. Bingo.

“Does that excite you?” Leo asked. “Knowing that I want you so badly?”

Brady moaned before he could stop himself. Eyes flying open in shock and then pushing Leo away.

Leo only tightened his hold on him.

“I’m not letting you go that easily this time,” he said.

Brady must have seen it, the desire and lust coursing through his veins, it must have been reflected in his eyes, it was too much.

“It’s this, the way you push me away but not really want to go, the way you claim to be straight then get so hard for me,” Leo groped Brady’s crotch with no warning and the latter hissed and squirmed as his eyes slid shut. He was right, by this time, Brady’s dick was really hard, almost like his own. And and Leo fondled the fuck out of it.

Leo knew he was about to say something stupid but he did anyways, he couldn’t fight the little bit of restraint he always had when ever Brady was around. “I think you are confused. Your mind says one thing, and your body says another. This feels good doesn’t it?”

Brady mumbled incoherent words until he finally let himself fall forward, head on Leo’s shoulder, breathing rugged and every single body part, not quite stable.

Instinctively, Leo’s one arm slid around Brady’s waist to hold him firmly against him, while the other slid up his neck to hold Brady’s head against his shoulder. “Let me help you Brady, date me,” he said and felt Brady stiffen.

“No, listen, you wanted to make it up to me right?” He took the silence as an indication to proceed.

“It’s nothing serious, I’m just helping you come to terms with your sexuality. We could even be friends then. You can think of it as whatever you want. And absolutely nothing has to happen without your consent.”

“What about Alex?” Brady asked as he pulled away from Leo’s shoulder, all calmed down.

Shit, why hadn’t Leo thought of that. “Alex is not really my boyfriend,” he said. Thinking he might as well be out with the truth.

Brady wasn’t as shocked as he expected him to be. “Oh my God so he was right! But why did you lie to me?” Brady’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Leo wondered who Brady was talking about, but didn’t question it. “It was all to keep you away from me, it wasn’t easy Brady, having you around me and yet I couldn’t have you. Fucking frustrating.”

Brady looked down after hearing this but Leo was only glad for two things. Brady hadn’t run away this time and still hadn’t said no.

He’d asked Brady out of pure selfishness and he knew it. He couldn’t help himself. At least he had a chance to keep Brady for himself, in his arms. If only for a month. Please say yes.

“What if I refuse?” Brady asked Leo and he was starting to think the universe had something against him.

“Whatever you want, you just walk out of here and go live your life, pretend you never met me,” Leo knew how to play his cards, he knew that somehow, weirdly, Brady didn’t like to stay away from him. “But just so you know, if you were straight, you wouldn’t have kissed me back. Twice.”

Leo was out of reasons, of course Brady would choose to walk away. He started to detach himself from him when Brady stopped him, nodding his head twice. “Okay, let’s do it. But I still might not be gay after this.”

Leo was elated but like every emotion, he couldn’t, or wouldn’t show it. “I’ll respect your decision but it’s too soon to come to a conclusion.”

Leo took his time pulling Brady in for a kiss this time, because he had the luxury. Also because the sight of Brady made him horny and all the talk had made him go soft. He wanted to get hard again, which wouldn’t require much. Brady apparently, had other plans.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, you might get you know… aroused and I’m not ready for like um… uh, gay sex.”

“Brady,” Leo said as he smirked and hooked his finger under Leo’s chin to make him look up. “You can just call it sex, it will still mean the same thing. And there it is again, you being so cute.”

Brady didn’t make the situation any easier by biting his bottom lip and averting his gaze.

“Fine, we’ll start wherever you want,”  Leo gave in.

Brady nodded, probably pleased with the idea. “Could you err… tell me all about yourself? Cheesy as it is, I’d like to know.”

Leo understood why Brady might have been so nervous. He sighed when he realized that the chance for their golden make out session was gone.

“Sure Brady, I’ll tell you all about something as boring as myself. Come here,” Leo said as he went around to where the couch was and slumped down, spreading his legs a little.

“All you have to do is ask again,” Leo smiled, a look of serenity filled his features. “While straddling me.”

He looked up expectantly at Brady.

Hey hey! Humble greetings from the author!🙏

I wonder if it’s going to get wild after this, what are your guesses?

Any suggestions on how I should improve on my dialogue? I suck at it

lol

Thank you for reading and supporting me my loves❤❤❤

12. Pink

Brady wasn’t expecting Leo to smile at him and he looked so sexy when he said it. Was it his glasses? What was it about them anyway? It wasn’t easy, for Brady to find his voice again. His throat went dry. But still, he spoke.

“Wh-what did you say?” he asked Leo.

“I don’t see why not, you are like my half genuine boyfriend now right? Where’s the harm in that?” Leo said.

“Okay,” Brady said and swallowed heavily.

He still couldn’t believe he’d agreed to this. He didn’t even take five minutes to think about it but he knew his answer the minute Leo had asked. Anyone else would have called him crazy but there was something about Leo that didn’t scare him. Leo didn’t have to be persuasive, he’d said yes for his own reasons.

Even if he had to pretend, the sole reason Brady had said yes was to keep Leo close to him. He wasn’t stupid, he knew his refusal could mostly mean one thing, that it would be the last time he properly saw Leo, or talked to him like he did.

But he couldn’t understand for the life of him why he just couldn’t let Leo be. Why the very thought of not being a part of Leo’s life sickened him. Even if he had to be the annoying friend or half boyfriend who talked all the time, then so be it.

Leo had said nothing had to happen without his consent, that was perfect. Nothing would happen, maybe only momentary kisses. A small price to pay to keep Leo.

He should’ve felt bad because he was being selfish. But he couldn’t. Not when this was the only way he could get what he wanted.

Straddling. Shit! How was he supposed to do this? Brady hovered over Leo before holding his neck with one arm to support himself. He bent his leg over one side of him, knees hitting the back of the couch. He did the same to the other when Leo grabbed his other hand and made sure they were locked around his neck.

He must have been shaking the entire time while Leo just smirked at him. God this was so embarrassing. Leo was probably laughing at him on the inside.

“Tell me ab-about yourself?” Brady asked shakily. He still wondered why he couldn’t keep his voice steady whenever he was close to this man.

It felt so intimate, he was basically on his lap, groins so close to touching, not to mention both of Leo’s arms were around his waist while his, around his neck. He didn’t let go, because what would he do with his hands then?

“You’re so tense,” Leo said while inching his face closer to Brady’s, he kissed his cheek. “Relax, okay?”

Leo then leaned back. “My name is Leo Walsh. Leo’s short for Leonardo actually, courtesy of my Hispanic grandmama. I was raised by my dad, no siblings I’m an only child. I work at Met as you know. There’s really not much to say. Told you it would be boring,” Leo said everything while looking intently at Brady.

Brady wouldn’t call it boring, it was more like a trial on his side. With Leo’s gaze so fixed on him, he squirmed perpetually on the inside throughout the entire explanation. Trying so hard to look anywhere else but Leo’s piercing eyes.

Brady couldn’t help but notice that he hadn’t answered any of the most important questions he had in mind. And him being Brady, he just had to ask. “You haven’t- what about your mom?”

“I almost forgot! My favorite color is pink. What about you?” Leo said immediately and something didn’t feel right about the way he did.

The admittance shocked Brady three ways. First, pink?! Second, he hadn’t realized his question carried so much baggage and third, pink?!

“Wait what? Your favorite color is pink? Really? You’re kidding aren’t you?”

Brady was understanding. Nobody could say he wasn’t. He’d act like Leo hadn’t just dismissed his question because Leo needed it. He’d done it to so many people, acting like something else distracted him so they wouldn’t have to relive moments they’d rather not talk about. And yet it still broke his heart that people carried so much pain inside them.

“Cross my heart and hope to die, it really is,” Leo said. If only for that brief moment, he looked relieved.

Brady found himself leaning forward until his cheek rested against Leo’s chest. He couldn’t lie, he was really comfortable in his arms. “I already told you my favorite color is-”

“Yellow, yes I know,” Leo’s voice sounded strained as he cleared his throat before going on. “I meant what about yourself? Tell me.”

Brady wondered where to begin as he felt Leo’s heart beat faster than a normal human heart should. “I like it,” he didn’t think, just said. “The sound of your heartbeat.”

So suddenly Leo pushed him off him so that they were now sitting side by side. It wasn’t a hard push, nor violent, but it wasn’t pleasant either.

“What are you doing? Stop it,” Leo said.

Brady was dumbfounded. “What did I do?”

The doorbell chose that particular moment to ring. With one look that Brady couldn’t read, Leo went to get it. Brady stayed where he was, recalling everything he’d said and done, trying to find out what he’d done wrong.

It didn’t take long before Leo was back, and he was carrying a pizza box. Instantly Brady’s mood was lifted. “Ouu pizza!” he said.

“Sorry I didn’t know today would turn out like this so I ordered my usual with extra spice. I could order another if-”

“No, no it’s fine. Pizza is pizza! Unless it has pineapples in it. I hate that,” Brady said.

“Are you sure?” Brady couldn’t understand why Leo was asking him that.

“Yeah,” he said.

“Okay,” Leo gave up.

Setting the box on the table, Leo opened it and they each took a slice out, the cheese appeared to nearly drop as Leo brought it to his mouth and sat facing Brady.

Brady saw this as an indication to turn and sit facing Leo, he crossed his legs on the couch and took a bite. His eyes closed reflexively. “This is so spicy!”

“Exactly, I tried to tell-”

“No it’s okay, I was just surprised,” Brady reassured him.

“You were about to tell me about yourself,” Leo carried on from where they had stopped.

“Oh yeah! Brady Madison,” he rolled his eyes as he said it. I belong to a lovely family of nine. Raised by my mumzie and pops. Also my oldest brother, I have to give him some credit, he’s taught me so much. I’m like the middle child, three older siblings and three younger ones.“

He hadn’t noticed that Leo had stopped eating and was instead staring at him as he spoke between mouthfuls.

“There’s Luke, as I mentioned he’s the oldest, and then there’s Kerssy, she’s amazing! Probably the only reason nobody messes with any of us. Trust me Leo, if you pinched my knees and I ran home to tell her about it, you’d be crying by tomorrow night. Don’t even get me started,” Brady said. He could’ve sworn he heard Leo laugh. A really really small laugh, but a laugh nonetheless.

“There’s Liam and I swear to God you will not meet a dumber smart person. Right after him there’s me, in all my amazingness and awesomeness!” Brady reached for another slice.

“Oh and then there’s Ella, she’s the reason we’re not all completely insane. But it’s so ironic because she’s completely insane! Just thinking of her makes me want to laugh, she so funny!” Brady took a break to swallow his food.

“Cade is the boy who won’t bear to see a look of sadness on anyone’s face, but he’d whack your head with a spatula for ignoring him. And then there’s Bree! My world! Like don’t tell anyone she’s my favorite but have you ever loved someone so much you didn’t think you could do without them?” Brady asked.

Leo flinched but Brady didn’t see it, didn’t see how close he’d hit to home. He only looked to see that Leo was still holding the same slice of pizza he’d started with.

“This is my third slice and you’re still on the first! What is it?” Brady asked.

“Your family sounds interesting, is all. And I can’t take my eyes off you when you eat,” Leo simply stated.

Brady wondered what he was supposed to say to something like that. Leo! The only person who so easily always managed to get him tongue tied. “Oh,” was all he said.

Brady picked up another slice while trying so profusely to fight the heat that was slowly taking over his face.

Leo, always doing the unexpected took the pizza slice from his hand and brought it to Brady’s lips.

“Bite,” he said. And when Brady did as he was told, Leo gave him a small smile and Brady was ready to do it all over again. But he didn’t.

“Why are you feeding me?” he asked after he chewed and swallowed. “I’m capable of doing it you know.”

Leo faltered then composed himself.

“Oh uh…it’s just a habit I picked up,” he said and what a sight it was. Leo was flustered and Brady contained his smile when the other man shoved the bitten slice back to his hand, muttering a quick ‘here’.

Leo set his own unfinished piece down. He got up and left, soon reappearing and handing Brady a bottle of water.

“Get ready for this weekend,” Leo said and the whole atmosphere changed. Even the tension was gone. “We’re going to a club.”

“Why do you make it sound like I’ve never been to one?” Brady asked as he opened his water and took a sip.

“I’m sure you haven’t,” Leo said. “We’re going to a gay club.”

How’s this chapter been?

Oh, thank you for reading! ❤

13. The Mighty Brady’s Boat

Were going to a gay club. Brady recalled the words and remembered how he’d almost choked on his water.

It had nothing on him now though because he was dressed and going out to meet Leo who was supposedly waiting for him. He’d waited anxiously for the week to go by, for this day to come and yet he didn’t even know what to expect.

Leo looked amazing. He’d worn a loose, short sleeved button up shirt and he’d left at least three buttons open, exposing more of his chest than was necessary and giving him a solid air of confidence. Brady was in a trance. No one should look that good, and him crossing his arms while leaning against his car waiting for Brady weirdly gave him a bad boy look that made Brady gape.

He couldn’t decide whether to keep looking or alert Leo of his presence. He didn’t have to struggle pondering for long because Leo finally saw him.

“Fucking go and change,” Leo said, never taking his eyes off where Brady’s ass was.

“What?” Brady asked and looked down at himself. He’d just worn a simple shirt and jeans. Okay maybe they were just a little tight but nobody in their right mind would spare him a second glance once they looked at Leo. He couldn’t understand what the fuss was all about.

“I don’t want to have to keep my eyes on you all the time,” Leo said.

“I’m not a child, I can watch myself thank you very much,” Brady had more where that came from. Leo was just overreacting for one of the smallest things ever and he wasn’t about to comply with him. In fact, he liked those jeans.

“Fine, whatever. Do whatever you want,” Leo said with a strained shrug.

The silence in the car was awkward, and maybe it was the fact that they were stealing glances at each other the entire time. Brady stared at how Leo’s hand rested against his own thigh, tapping a bit impatiently while the other controlled  the wheel. He followed the length of it until it disappeared into his sleeve.

When Brady looked up, their eyes met and in that moment alone, he believed in magic. The window was open enough to let the night wind ruffle Leo’s hair a little, enough to make him look like a creature out of a fantasy, complimented by the sinful look in his eyes. Brady couldn’t tear his eyes away, he bit his bottom lip unconsciously and Leo’s eyes darkened.

Suddenly the car lurched and turned sharply, and just like that, the magic was broken. “Don’t look at me like that,” Leo said looking straight ahead, he sounded irritated.

You’re one to talk, Brady said inside his head. He’d probably squeak if he tried to talk now.

Out of habit, he hugged his knees then glued his eyes to the windshield. Brady decided to keep his mouth shut for the rest if the ride.

          ___________________________

“Wait here, I’m going to go let Alex know we’re here first,” Leo said once they were inside and left before Brady could question him.

Brady sat at the bar and ordered a light drink. It didn’t even take five minutes before a guy had walked over to Brady.

“Hello sunshine!” he shouted. The guy reeked of alcohol and he was too close, a drop or two of spittle flew to Brady.

“Ew!” was all Brady said. He chose to ignore the guy and act like he hadn’t seen or heard him.

“I can shows yerr a good time,” the guy insisted and this time held Brady’s hand and began to pull.

“Let my hand go! I’m not interested.”

“That’s what you think now babe, I promise to go easy on you,” his speech was not as slurred now that he was being forceful.

“Hands off,” the calm, angry voice belonged to Leo.

The guy quickly whipped his head around to where Leo was staring at him menacingly. “Yeah? Or what?”

“I’ll give you five seconds to find out,” he too, took a step closer to the guy.

It wasn’t hard to get intimidated by Leo, and right now more than ever. He looked a bit scary. Within three seconds, the guy was leaving.

“Whatever man,” he looked like he wanted to shove Leo aside but was careful not to.

Brady looked as Leo took his glasses off and started cleaning them. “Fucking disgusting,” he said with a frown.

“Damn,” Brady muttered under his breath. Was it just him or had it just gotten hotter.

“What did you say?” Leo asked while putting his glasses back on, he took a seat and focused on Brady.

“Um, I- I said damn that guy!” Brady lied.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, you can look after yourself? Was that what you said?” Leo mocked. “You really had things under control there didn’t you?”

“The heck are you angry at me for? I didn’t even ask for your help, I was calmly handling everything,” Brady said but didn’t sound sure.

“Sure, whatever floats the mighty Brady’s boat,” Leo said sarcastically. He was being so childish Brady couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “You can handle yourself from here on out,  I still have to talk to Alex anyway.”

Yeah go ahead, have babies together for all I care. Brady turned and contemplated asking the bartender for another drink.

Just then, he saw a small guy walk up behind Leo and hug him, snaking his hand into his shirt. Brady sat straight immediately, he knew those buttons shouldn’t have been open.

The guy was beautiful, Brady didn’t know why he thought that, it was just the truth. “Hey daddy,” the beauty said in an extremely sleazy voice. “It’s been a while.”

While since what, while since what? Brady’s brain was turning screws.

Leo only gently removed his hand and guided him to face him. Leo smiled and it somehow shocked Brady that it was genuine. “You’re gorgeous as ever sweetheart, but tonight I’m taken,” Leo pecked his cheek.

The beauty then finally seemed to notice Brady, “I’m a bit jealous, you’re kinda cute, but you don’t seem like his type. I’m DeVante but call me Devi.”

“Brady. Nice to meet you,” he answered as he saw a familiar figure get closer and lightly spank Devi on the ass.

Devi yelped so seductively Brady didn’t think it could even be mimicked, he murmured a few words Brady couldn’t catch to the guy. Looking more clearly, Brady noticed that it was Alex. Brady couldn’t stop the rush of jealousy that surged within him, was this why Leo got the idea? He remembered their kiss, he still hated the memory even if he knew they weren’t even together.

Alex acknowledged him with a nod and a smile, “Hey, Brady was it? Fancy seeing you in a place like this. I’m stealing Leo for a bit okay? And yes, I know, you know.” Alex referred to the whole boyfriend situation.

After the two had left, Devi sat next to Brady and got a drink of his own. “Where’d they go?” Brady asked him.

“Oh, look up there,” Devi said and Brady turned. In a raised and more private looking area, Leo settled with Alex.

“I don’t like it either,” Devi said next to him. “Seeing them together.”

“How do you know I don’t like it?”

“Boy please! Anyone a mile away can see how much you are attracted to him.”

Was he really attracted to him?

“Not to mention how your face changed when Alex took him away,” Devi said and Brady could only think about how observant he was. He hadn’t even noticed it himself.

“Wanna know a secret?” Devi said and moved closer. “Leo’s the jealous type, especially when he’s got his eyes on you. You’re so lucky, because that can be so much fun! Wanna experiment?”

Why do you know so much?

“Maybe if you tell me what’s up with you and Alex,” Brady smiled widely at him. “We’re friends now right? Of course we are, I mean, who could you be? To resist my charm?”

“Okay now I’m sure I like you,” Devi returned his smile, the lights making several patterns on his face, his smile was nothing short of perfect. And for the first time in a long time, Brady felt self conscious.

“My God, you’re so…”

“Gorgeous? Flawless? Stunning?” Devi asked with a sigh. “I’ve heard it all, but I don’t believe it. If only some people thought the same.”

“Alex?” Brady thought it was a pretty good guess.

“He’s the love of my life, he just doesn’t know it yet. He doesn’t notice me no matter what I do,” Devi hung his head low then it was back up immediately. “But oh well, doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying. So what do you say?”

“Okay, let’s do it, but not to rile him up or anything. I don’t think he’d do anything. I just want to try it, it’s my first time in a gay club.” Brady was nervous as hell.

“Oh don’t give me that look, I’ll show you how it’s done. Let’s dance come on!” Devi pulled him to the dance floor.

Soon they were blending in with the sweaty bodies trying to shake their skins off. “The key is to just keep dancing,” Devi said.

Brady had done this multiple times before, it was just dancing. He swung his hips to the beat and let the rhythm of the beat control his body. It was easy.

“So my boy is a natural huh!” Devi said to Brady. “Okay now three o’clock, there’s a guy checking you out. Make eye contact, smile at him, then look away and keep dancing.”

Brady turned and surely the guy was staring. Brady then did exactly what Devi said. God what am I doing? What now?  “I’m not so sure about this,” he started to say, he’d also started feeling a little tipsy.

“You’re fine, you could even convince me that you’ve done this before. Give me your phone,” he shouted to Brady over the music.

“This is for the details baby, I’ll be waiting!” he said as he punched his number into Brady’s phone and gave it back.

“Here he comes! Oh wait there’s two of them. Okay I’m going to have my fun, good luck with Leo!”

No sooner had Devi left than he was sandwiched by two bodies at his front and back. “Hey baby,” a deep voice said. “We’ve been watching you, what do you say we ditch this place?”

“I don’t-” Brady stopped when the other guy cupped his ass, he didn’t know they’d be so straightforward. He thought they’d dance and he’d slowly reject any offers.

“Come on,” the guy nibbled his ear lobe. “Your eyes were practically begging me.”

Brady wasn’t doing this. He pulled free of their grasp. “I changed my mind.”

“You don’t mean that, playing hard to get is sexy too,” the other guy now smirked at him.

“We’re leaving,” Leo almost growled. Brady didn’t see him approach, but there he was, saving him from the two strangers. He didn’t resist when he was yanked away. Leo didn’t even spare him a glance, just led him out, Brady guessed he was furious. Was Devi right after all?

Reaching outside, Leo felt his pocket and seemed not to find what he was looking for. “Fuck. Wait here,” he said and went back in a hurry.

Brady didn’t argue with him. Resigning, he leaned against the car. He wondered what to say to Leo when he was back. This was one of his strangest nights ever. He knew it would probably be wilder than the clubs he’d been to, but he didn’t expect this either.

“We meet again,” a familiar voice said.  “And your intense boyfriend isn’t here. Its-s must be a sign!”

Just great! What were the odds, that it would be him? The same disgusting guy who’d first hit on him.

I know, I know, I promise to write better in the future.❤ Won’t lie, this chapter’s been difficult for me (cringes like crazy)

14. Hallucinations

Leo was angry at himself. For coming up with the stupid idea of taking Brady to the club, for actually bringing him and then for actually getting pissed off when he knew he shouldn’t be. Where were his fucking keys? He approached where he’d left Alex.

“I figured you’d be looking for these,” Alex said, holding them up for Leo.

Leo only grabbed them and turned around to make his way out once again.

“Hey! Go easy on him!” Alex shouted as he walked away. He ignored it. He only had one thing in his mind the entire time, that was Brady.

Brady with two scoundrels glued to his front and back. Brady swinging his sexy self to the beat, practically begging for everyone’s attention. He had Leo focused on him like he was a tractor beam. He was a goner at that moment, he wasn’t looking or going to look at anything else.

Leo reached out to where he’d left Brady and the sight that greeted him wasn’t one he was expecting. It was the same disgusting motherfucker who had tried to pick a fight with him earlier by hitting on Brady.

Brady was trying to break free of his grasp while the guy forcefully caged him in. Perfect, this was something he needed, somewhere he could release all of his pent up anger. It wasn’t fair to take it out on Brady anyway.

The asshole was sort of a large person but nothing Leo couldn’t handle, he shoved him off Brady in a matter of seconds. Pinning him to the wall opposite Brady.

Leo sent a flying fist his way and connected it to his jaw. The asshole surprisingly recovered really quickly from his shock, all he had was the pride to fight back. He threw a punch that mirrored Leo’s own, it wasn’t that weak either, he felt the skin at his lip tear right before tasting blood. It was definitely going to leave a bruise too. And the asshole had just added a spark to the fight, they both seemed to go all out, blow after blow.

The asshole’s punches became weaker after a short while and he raised a hand up, accepting defeat. They were both breathing heavily when Leo stopped, both faces bruised and bloodied and the other guy, so much more.

“I’ve got a feeling we’ll meet again, you’d better behave yourself if I ever see you again, and don’t fucking touch what’s mine.” With that, Leo pushed him aggressively against the wall one last time and then let him go.

Brady stood in front of him, blocking his path and at a loss for words. He held his hand out. “I’m driving,” he said.

Leo heard his voice waver, although Brady looked a little pissed off.

He knew determination when he saw it. “I’m perfectly fine-” Leo began to say.

“Leo, give me the keys,” Brady insisted and Leo had to wonder what side of Brady this was.

Brady won the state down and Leo finally gave him the keys. But instead of going round to get in the car like he should have, Brady went up to the guy who had had the ill fortune of being Leo’s punching bag.

The guy had one hand to the wall, trying to steady himself. Brady slowly turned him so he was facing him. “Hiyyahh!” he shouted as he sent his knee to the man’s groin, it was a battle cry he’d been dying to use. “That’s for bloodying up my boyfriend.”

He left the man kneeling while groaning in pain, with his hands between his knees.

Leo got in the car after Brady, a somewhat puzzled look on his face. “What the fuck was that?” He didn’t have to elaborate that he referred to the Brady’s outcry.

Brady looked at him and smiled. “What’s life without a little drama right?” He put the keys in the ignition, and roared the engine to life.

“I heard what you said,” Leo said, he meant about Brady calling him his boyfriend.

Brady didn’t answer, his bottom lip jutted a little as he looked anywhere but Leo’s direction. He began to drive away. Maybe that fight was what he needed, what they both needed. The tension between them was already non existent.

Despite everything, Leo kept his small smile to himself.

            _____________________

“Keep still,” Brady said while cleaning the blood off Leo’s face, he had driven to Leo’s place and quickly located his kit and sat Leo down.

“You’re being so bossy, I said I can do it myself,” Leo complained despite secretly loving the attention.

“You got into that fight because of me, what makes you think I’d place another burden on you? Now, let me do this, you remain quiet okay? There’s a cut on your lip and it’ll hurt if you talk. It’s a wonder these didn’t fall off,” Brady said while removing Leo’s glasses slowly.

Leo still saw him clearly, because he was close enough. “Did you like it? Dancing with-”

“Shhh,” Brady said with one finger on Leo’s lips. Well, Leo’s jealousy would have to take the backseat for yet another moment.

He felt the rising heat on his face as Brady dabbed all over his bruised spots, brows furrowing in concentration.

Leo, who had nothing much to do, focused on Brady’s face and soon he was lost. What softness, what kind eyes, what perfection. He could watch him all day long. How badly he wanted to feel those lips against his again.

He felt little tingles where the pads of Brady’s fingers touched his jaw to steady his face.

He only came back to reality when Brady rested his whole palm against Leo’s cheek, so delicately it sent sparks of electricity down his spine. He tried not to lean into the touch but it was futile, Brady was so irresistible.

He wasn’t seeing right because Brady’s face was moving closer to his, or maybe it was him. Maybe the guy from the club had hit him so hard he was hallucinating.

Leo’s mind went silent when Brady’s lips touched his. Slowly at first, almost as if Brady was afraid. But he had no reason to be, Leo would be there with him all the way.

Leo followed Brady’s lead, still not over the fact that he had kissed him. One could hear a pin drop in his mind right then, it was completely quiet and blank.

Brady seemed to gain a little more confidence once Leo silently urged him on. Brady’s other hand now cupped Leo’s other cheek.

Way too soon, Brady broke it off, he couldn’t meet Leo’s eyes and his voice was shaky. “I-I’m sorry, I…”

Leo held his chin and made sure Brady was facing him. “I’m not,” he said before crashing their lips back together again.

If the other kiss was a slow exploration, then this one was an invasion, it was filled with so much want, need, longing and Brady gave back equally.

Leo didn’t know how but they were standing, Brady pressed so impossibly close against him, and not nearly close enough. They were like hungry wolves with their lips the only morsels they’d found in weeks.

Leo’s hand went to grip the back of Brady’s thigh and lifted it against his waist. Like his body had another mind of its own, it acted on its own accord.

Leo then lifted Brady up and his legs crossed around his waist, it felt so good, the way Brady clinged to him. The way they moved so much without separating their lips from each other.

Leo walked to his room with Brady in his arms, stealing kisses along the way while Brady looked dazed.

He set Brady on the bed gently then looked down at him. Where the fuck was he supposed to start? Should he start with feathery kisses on those lovely flushed cheeks? Or should he keep staring at his beautiful eyes full of life? His neck or his lips? Leo thought of all these things as he nearly ripped the buttons of his own shirt off.

He leaned down to kiss Brady again, “Remember, I’m not going to do anything you don’t want to,” he reassured before holding to the sides of the hem of Brady’s shirt.

The little nod he received was all he needed. He peeled Brady’s shirt off and took a moment to admire the body beneath him, and to get his breathing under control.

He didn’t get enough time to, because Brady crossed his arms around Leo’s neck and pulled him down for a kiss.

He surrendered to it, that was just how far gone he was for Brady, when their lips pulled apart, Leo trailed other kisses every where he could find skin.

“You’re beautiful,” he told Brady who squirmed when Leo licked over the bud of his nipple and nicked it lightly, causing Brady to arch his back at the same moment. So sexy.

“Leo…” Brady said, short of breath, almost moaning the word out. “P-please…”

Leo’s cock was already straining in his pants, so damn hard for this lovely creature who had no clue what he was doing to him. “Please what? Anything you want, you just have to tell me.”

Leo sounded like he had everything under control, what a lie, he was barely holding on, his control hanging on by a thread.

“I don’t know,” Brady rasped, “Just…need s-something!” Brady managed to get out despite Leo basically worshipping his body.

Leo couldn’t understand where he found the ability to think, but he did. He knew what to do for Brady.

Slowly trailing his hand down, he fingered the band of Brady’s pants before loosening the button and pulling down the zipper, he couldn’t stop nicking and kissing Brady’s neck all the while. “I’ve got you,” he said.

The way Brady’s cock felt in his hand was glorious, he was so hard and that excited Leo to no end. He stroked Brady, who trembled beneath him. He continued the movement and soon Brady was a moaning mess.

Leo got a bit disappointed when Brady attempted to cover his face with one arm, there was no need for him to feel embarrassed, he didn’t know how much he set Leo on fire. Leo pried his hand away with his free one.

“I want to watch you come undone,” Leo told him and he heard Brady whimper.

Brady looked everywhere else but didn’t cover his eyes again. Leo kissed his pouty lips. “You’re so beautiful,” he said as he pumped Brady’s cock faster, even stroking his thumb over the tip.

Brady was becoming a blabbering mess before him, his facial expressions were doing things to Leo, sending electric sparks straight to his cock. It was amazing to watch Brady reach his peaks of pleasure, it didn’t take long before Brady was shuddering and shooting out his load.

He did something Leo didn’t expect, Brady hugged him so tight and fiercely as he came down from his high and spent the last of his seed on Leo’s hand. So fucking cute.

Leo hugged him back with everything he had, planting soothing kisses along his shoulder.

“Wait, what about you?” Brady’s voice wavered a little. His concern tugged at Leo’s heart.

“Watching you, that was all the pleasure I needed,” Leo replied.

It was true, what Leo said, but he’d just dismissed the question, rather than answered it. The truth was that he was needy as hell. But this night, it was for Brady.

Hi there!

How was this chapter?😏

15. Intense But Actually Lovely

When Brady woke up, he was alone on the bed. When he’d felt around the sheets for Leo, he found that the space was cold. Almost like he’d slept alone the entire night.

Brady was suddenly swamped with the revelations of the night before. God he’d never felt like that in his entire life. The girls he’d been with before were all soft and lovely, beautiful too. But there was just something about the way Leo’s hands handled him the previous night. There was nothing soft about it but oh how gentle it was!

In Leo’s arms, he loved it. What did that mean? He was beginning to realize that Leo might have been right all along.

In the next minute, his phone started  ringing. He didn’t remember bringing it but there it was, on the stand right next to the side of the bed he’d slept on.

Must have been Leo. He picked it up only to see the caller ID. Brady thought it was a bit unusual but picked it up nonetheless.

“Hey hey!” he said brightly. “Yeah, it’s no biggie. Yeah, I’ll be there, okay. See you in a bit.”

He walked out to find Leo sprawled out on the couch, typing away in his computer. Shit, this was going to be hard wasn’t it? He really must have made a fool of himself the night before. What if-

“Come here,” Leo’s voice startled him out  of his thoughts.

Slowly, Brady walked over to the couch where Leo was, as the latter put his computer away.

Brady placed his hand in Leo’s when it was offered to him and with no warning, Leo pulled him onto his lap and snug one arm around his waist pecking his lips. “Sleep well?” he asked.

Brady was a bit astonished. To be honest, he didn’t know what to expect and yet here was Leo, treating him like he had nothing to worry about. He nodded and looked down at his hands.

“You don’t have to keep being so nervous, we’re doing a thing here remember? And there’s absolutely no judgement. You know that right?” Leo inquired.

Brady realized that he hadn’t yet said a word, but before he could, Leo leaned forward and kissed him. A full on kiss that had Brady pulling away from him. “No! Ew! I just got out of bed, I’m disgusting!” Brady said, completely embarrassed and self conscious.

Leo chuckled darkly, “Like I care,” he said and kissed Brady again. Brady tried to fight him off but it was futile. They ended up with Leo in top of him, pinning both his hands with his. They stared at each other for a while, until Brady couldn’t hold his gaze any longer.

“I hate that other people could touch you, and it’s killing me to think that maybe you liked it,” Leo confessed.

“It wouldn’t be that way if you hadn’t just taken me as a way to meet up with Alex,” Brady retorted. “And I didn’t like it, I hated every second of it.”

Brady tried to hide the fact that he was a little bit hurt, and hoped Leo wouldn’t understand.

“I feel like such a jerk,” Leo said. “I’m sorry.”

Brady nodded, his eyes softening.

“And I didn’t take you just to meet up with Alex,” Leo said, releasing one hand to run it through Brady’s hair. “He owns the club.”

Brady had many questions but didn’t find his voice until Leo spoke again.

“So, what do you want to have for breakfast?” Leo asked once they were sitting up again.

All the while, Brady couldn’t help but notice the circles under Leo’s eyes, he had never seen them so dark before. “You always have dark circles under your eyes, why?” Brady asked.

“Because I can’t sleep,” Leo replied. Whatever he thought, Brady wasn’t expecting such a direct answer. But the way he said it, Brady knew he had to let it go. He nodded subtly, acknowledgement and understanding.

“My mom called,” Brady began, “They’re going away for the weekend and need me to watch Bree because everyone’s busy this weekend. So I can’t have breakfast.”

“Oh, okay then,” Leo said. Brady couldn’t place what he heard in his voice.

When Brady continued to look at him, Leo asked, “Do you need a ride?”

“Um, nope, I was actually hoping you could come with me,” Brady said as he extended one hand to the back of his neck.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, it’s just going to be me and Bree for the rest of the weekend, it could even be fun!”

“Um sure, okay, I’ll come with you,” Leo said.

“Don’t worry, a delicious breakfast awaits us,” Brady smiled at Leo, who looked a bit nervous, quickly masking it then.

“You can use my toothbrush,” Leo said, aiming a sexy smirk at Brady.

Brady’s eyes widened as he tried to find words.

“Just kidding. Come on, I’ll find you one,” Leo cajoled.

            _________________________

As Brady sat at the passenger seat, his phone pinged with a message.

’so,

how’d

it go? it’s devi by the way, your man was so angry wink emoji

Brady couldn’t stop his smile, not because of the contents of the message but rather because he was hearing from his new friend again. Although, he didn’t know how to reply.

’ you know, i prefer your full name so

that’s

what i’m saving you as’

Brady sent the message then saved Devi as DeVante.

‘why are you stalling’

’well, he actually got into a fight. like with blood and all. what about

alex

, was there any progress’

’you are so horrible at changing the subject and

whhaaaatt

??!! faints and gets back up, faints again.

leonardo

walsh

? glasses but sexy, intense but actually lovely, freaking got into a fight?? okay what where how? details baby’

Brady looked up to see the Leonardo in question staring at him. “What? I didn’t say anything!”

“Okay, but I’m going to need directions,” Leo said and started pulling out of the driveway.

“Oh!” Brady exclaimed, reminding himself to relax. He texted DeVante back.

‘i promise i will, right now is impossible. later okay?’

“Why are you smiling so much?” Leo asked Brady. “Who are you texting?”

“A friend.”

“Then why are you smiling so much?”

“It’s no biggie,” Brady said as he tucked his phone into a hoodie he had borrowed from Leo’s closet. It felt good to wear it, but what he liked the most was the scent that kept wafting into his nostrils at any moment’s turn. Leo.

He began to give directions. “I can’t wait for you to meet Bree!”

            ________________________

Leo thought the person he saw carrying luggage into a car was Brady’s dad. The wrist watch and formal attire. He looked to be in his mid forties and the way he closed his hands around a seemingly lovely lady and kissed her forehead was a sight to behold. They reverberated so much love.

“Come on!” he heard Brady say then near bolted to go hug the lady.

“Mumzie!” Brady called and embraced her.

Then Leo watched as a look passed between Brady and his dad. It was a look Leo couldn’t understand, he just hoped he wasn’t one of those shitty fathers.

Brady introduced him to his parents who to Leo’s surprise, both hugged him, Brady’s mother even pulled at his cheeks and called him handsome. She made him feel like he was a little kid again. He didn’t have that growing up, and he wasn’t going to make this emotional.

And then came the toddler he recognized from the wedding. She was even cuter up close. how was that even possible.

“Braaaayyyyy!!!” she screamed as she ran towards Brady, her curls bouncing up and down.

Brady hoisted her up and showered her face with kisses as she giggled heartily. “Bree, this is Leo, be nice to him okay?” Bree smiled at Leo, and then narrowed her eyes when Brady looked away. Leo was taken aback suddenly.

“Go on, say goodbye to mom and dad Bree,” Brady said and let her go.

“We’re having a serious talk when I’m back Brady,” his father said. Brady just shrugged it off and took their bags and walked towards the house as the car rumbled and the sound began to fade.

Bree stopped in front of Leo and crossed her little arms. “Okay we have to agwee on something, I have to watch Bray’s back and I’m not sure I like you yet so don’t get too close okay? I have claws.” It was almost like she heard it from a TV show, she even made a hissing sound.

Leo smiled as she flicked her hair back, he crouched to be at her level. “And what do I have to do to win this lovely princess’ heart?”

Bree smiled then turned away really quickly, Leo only heard her low voice talking to herself. “Tough girl Bree, tough girl.”

She turned back around with her previous look plastered on her face, her nose in the air this time. “Does Bray like you?”

“I don’t know,” Leo said, smile only getting wider.

“So I don’t know if I like you too!” she said then turned to dash inside the house after Brady.

Leo watched the small figure retreat as he felt a rare kind of happy light up his insides. Who were these people, and why were they stealing so many pieces of his heart?

The house was what Leo thought every lovely home should be, and so much more. It looked warm. There were photographs everywhere and it was big too. He figured because it was a big family.

Brady had clearly been understating when he said the breakfast was going to be delicious, it was amazing! Leo couldn’t remember the last time he did something so close to family.

“It’s good right?” Brady had asked while wiggling his eyebrows. It’s fucking amazing. “It’s okay.”

Leo then spent the rest of the day memorizing every detail about the rest of the Madisons, looking at every picture. Warmth flooding his chest at the sight of a ten year old Brady. Even back then, his smile could still light up the world.

Brady told him everything, never leaving any detail out. And even when he did, Bree chipped in. He learned that Cade, the second youngest after Bree, would be coming home any time. He was having a sleepover or something.

Leo also studied the dynamics of the two siblings. They were like one and the same person but so very different. Bree also watched him from the corner of her eyes with curiosity where he always made sure to catch her gaze and fluster her. She was such a princess!

When the sun began to go down, Bree began to pester Brady about watching a movie. Leo was not even surprised when Brady gave in. When she was asked what she wanted to watch, she pondered for what seemed like a no brainer. “Barbieeee!” she yelled.

Brady looked close to pinching the bridge of his nose as he turned to Leo.

“I apologize in advance,” Brady said before throwing extra cushions on to the couch and then going to the kitchen. Ten minutes later he carried bowls of popcorn and handed one to Leo.

At first Leo couldn’t understand why Brady would be apologizing but eventually, he did. Only Bree did justice to the Barbie songs where as Brady butchered every word and high note, his voice cracking on every key. Leo began with a chuckle, watching the other two in amusement.

It didn’t take long before the chuckle morphed into a laugh. It didn’t take long before Brady was staring at him. “I’ve never seen you laugh so hard before, it’s beau– I mean it’s unusual,” Brady said.

Seemingly saved by the doorbell, Brady said he’d go get it. Leo didn’t even know he had ordered pizza until he saw the boxes.

Brady opened a box next to Leo, “Extra spicy. This is for you! Oh and for my one and only!” Brady said to Bree who looked delighted.

Leo was so jealous at the handful of words but he’d never admit it. Just like they had come, the feelings disappeared when Brady sat next to him and leaned his head on Leo’s shoulder as he gobbled his first slice. It took everything in Leo not to pull Brady closer and wrap his hands around him.

Hyper aware of Brady’s body right next to him, he felt rather than saw the little figure walk over and settle in between them. If Bree was doing it out of spite, he thought it was sweet.

Leo tried not to move, lest he break the spell of the moment. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and slowly released the breath he was holding.

What is this? he asked.

             _____________________

It was obvious that Leo still hadn’t slept well but when he went looking for Brady in the morning, he wasn’t expecting what he found.

He stood and leaned by the door as he watched Bree climb onto the bed and straddle Brady’s shirtless waist. He heard the pop sound when she uncapped a sharpie and smiled when she got to work.

He sneaked closer and saw that she was drawing a circle around each of his eyes. The full set of instruments with glitter also came into view, Bree went rigid when she noticed him. She gave him one of the most innocent faces he’d ever seen, “Are you gonna scold me?” she whispered. Her eyes said she was skeptical.

Leo shook his head, “I appreciate good art,” he said and held out his hand, in which Bree placed another sharpie.

Leo crouched down and started giving Brady a moustache. Bree covered her mouth and laughed silently, eyes filled with mirth.

Leo also stifled his laugh when Bree drew two circles around Brady’s chest and used his nipples for eyes.

They both froze when Brady moved, letting out breaths of relief when Brady settled once again. Leo adored the giggles that escaped Bree. He watched as Brady was decorated with pink glitter and was a bit shocked at his dedication to not wake up.

Once they were both done, Bree took all her tools and Leo lifted her off him, carrying her gently away from the crime scene, quietly to where they could wait for Brady to wake up. The living room.

“You’re pretty, I like you!” Bree suddenly told Leo once she had managed to stop laughing.

“You think I’m pretty?” Leo asked as his insides jumped for joy.

“Bray says that when someone looks at something for a long time, it means you think it’s pretty!” Bree looked proud of her memory but Leo wondered what she was getting at.

“Bray looks at you all the time!” she threw her hands up like this wasnt even the half of her frustrations, “Duhhh! you’re pretty!”

Leo felt butterflies in his stomach before the sound of a door closing and somewhat hurried footsteps moving along the hall distracted him, another door opened which Leo was guessing was the bathroom.

“Three,” Bree said and Leo followed along, “Two.”

“Breeeeeeeeeee!!!” Brady practically screeched as the other two heard the footsteps get closer and closer to them.

Leo viewed the sight that was Brady. Now that he was upright, the designs they had drawn looked more comical. The eyes on Brady’s chest, the  moustache, the stick figures. Not to mention the bed hair. It was too funny. Leo muffled a laugh.

“What have you done to me?! I look like Barbie the last hairbender!” Brady screamed.

Leo was trying so hard, he pursed his lips when glittered eyebrows went up and Brady’s eyes fell on him, “You!” he said, “You were in on this too?!”

Leo was the picture of calm when he answered. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’ve been here with Bree the entire time.” Bree, the picture of innocence, clung to him.

Brady picked up a cushion as Leo stood with Bree in his arms. Leo took a step back as Brady took one forward. “Oh you are so going to get it!” Brady threatened before swinging the cushion and missing Leo.

It seemed to take one minute and Leo was already up the stairs. He found the closest room and got in, coincidentally, it was the room where the crime was committed, setting Bree down, who was laughing so hard. He wasn’t fast enough though, before he could close the door, Brady was already barging in. He had never seen such an evil grin on Brady’s face while the door clicked locked.

“Leo! we can’t go down without a fight!” Bree yelled and then grabbed a pillow. She charged and hit Brady first. And soon they were at it.

Leo watched, he’d never had a pillow fight so he took it all in for a moment until his thoughts were interrupted by a hit against the side of his head. He caught the pillow before it could fall down. Leo looked at it, then at Brady. His hands tightened on it before he whacked the other male with the pillow.

Brady seemed to smile despite the blow as if to say, now its really on.

Pillows and laughs and glee, it lasted forever because Brady couldn’t let them off easy, and he had to admit, it was fun. What adults they were .

The three dropped on the bed, faces up to the ceiling, trying to catch their breaths and trapped in fits of laughter.

Brady was the first to get up, “You two are fixing this mess,” he motioned to the room that was in disarray. “I’m going to take a shower then I’ll make us breakfast so better get to it,” Brady shut out the rest of their complaints with the door.

He closed it behind him and leaned against it. He heard Bree giggling from the other side and thought maybe she really did have magic.

He was still trying to reconcile the two Leos he knew. The other moody, dangerous and really closed off. This one, he wanted to lock and keep to himself for a really really long time.

17. Fishes In My Head

The little boy who couldn’t be more than ten years of age with his lightly freckled and yet adorable face, arrived a few hours later. He had Brady’s stubborn lips and a permanently confident look on his face despite the kindness in his eyes.

“Hi,” he said to Leo as he looked down, hands together behind his back and his body swinging left to right.

“Hello shy kid, I’m Leo,” Leo said with one hand on Cade’s shoulder.

“Oh he’s not shy,” Brady laughed. “Not at all, he just doesn’t know you yet.”

Then to Cade he continued, “It’s okay Cadey bear, he’s a nice person.”

While Leo couldn’t exactly agree with Brady, Bree ran up to him and made his point more pragmatic because he couldn’t ignore a hug from the little girl. Cade’s eyes seemed to light up at the sight before him.

“Okay,” this time he managed to look at Leo and smiled when the latter ruffled his hair. Maybe he was nice after all. “But I’m not Cadey bear!”

Brady was unbothered when he replied, “Yeah sure, sure.” he said, dropping a kiss to Cade’s forehead.

That! Do that to me. Leo’s inner voice yelled, quite the contrary with his actions.

Leo decided to catch up on some work then, settling on the couch right next to a table and starting his computer.

Brady had stepped out with Bree to ‘purchase a few things’ he’d said. So he was left with the other child. He was aware of the small figure settling one couch away from him. He also ignored the fact that he was being stared at for whatever reason.

Leo wondered what went on in the mind of kids, he wondered what Cade was thinking. Did he think he was scary? Did he feel unsafe? Or did he look a monster to the child, an evil scientist plotting all their deaths? He ignored all this and was about to carry on with his work when the little boy spoke.

“You haven’t asked me my age, everyone always asks me my age when they meet me. In this little high voice,” he imitated a high pitched voice. Were they adults really that bad?

“Well I just assumed that you were not more than ten,” Leo said in his defence.

“Well I’m not,” Cade pouted. Yep, this was Brady’s brother alright.

“Okay, Leo said and made his voice deeper than was usual. “How old are you?”

“Woahhh, ‘how old are you?’” Cade tried to imitate. “Do that again!”

“What, you mean ask, how old are you?” Leo said in the same deep voice and Cade was blown.

“That is so cool!” he rushed over to Leo’s side and slumped on the couch. “I’ve decided! I’m getting a deep voice when I grow up!” Leo didn’t have the heart to tell him that it didn’t work like that.

“I’m eight,” Cade said and Leo figured he’d been right after all.

Cade made sure there was no space between his shoulder and Leo’s arm. “Do you have any games on this thing?” Cade asked referring to the computer.

“No,” Leo said. “Not on this one.”

“Fishes in my head, that’s boring,” Cade said.

“Okay that one I’ve never heard before,” Leo said.

“You haven’t? But everybody knows this! Why do you think we drink water? Of course to keep the fishes alive silly!”

Oh my word.

“Say, if I were to drink water right now, it’d go straight to my head right?”

“Uh huh. Mostly if you drink it like this,” Cade said then went ahead to demonstrate his point.

He sat upside down on the couch so that his head was dangling where his legs should have been. When he was sure Leo had got it, he sat back right. “It’s science,” he shrugged with a finger pointing to his temple.

Leo thought Cade was a very confident boy. He’d even asked Leo to give him some breadcrumbs later to feed them. By this time, Leo had already put away his computer, giving Cade his undivided attention. Brady was right, this boy was not shy. Also, he was king of randomness, as Leo had learned so fast.

Cade rested his head on Leo’s lap without warning and Leo flinched. He only hoped Cade didn’t notice because it wasn’t unpleasant, he wasn’t irritated at all, but it was a surprise and a strange feeling. The whole situation was laughable. Was he so deprived of affection that an eight year old could so easily cause the calm of his blood to ripple?

“What’s your type?” the eight year old asked.

At this point, Leo should have stopped being shocked. “You’re so full of surprises aren’t you?” Leo thought about what he was doing at eight years old and shook his head, kids these days. “Why don’t you go ahead and tell me your type?” He sounded calm and yet all he wanted to declare was that his type was big brown eyes and pouty lips attached to a name that was Brady.

“All women are beautiful you know,” Cade began and Leo didn’t miss the fact that he had said women and not girls. This kid huh? “Man to man though, I’m more into older women you know? They are more so-sophstiticated.”

Where had he heard that? Leo kept his gaze on the wonder that was Cade. “Sophisticated?” he corrected.

“Yeah soph- sophs- sophusti…you know what? Yes, I mean that word.”

What a delight , Leo thought.

“Did I mention he was clingy?” Oh, Brady was back.

The rest of the day carried on then, Brady making magic in Leo’s life with the two children in a time record that was impossible.

Cade wasn’t joking when he had mentioned his breadcrumbs too, and now Leo had to suffer for it.

He sat stunned when he felt a hit at the back of his head with something he couldn’t name.

“Cadeeeee! Don’t hit him!” yelled Bree to Leo’s rescue.

She lured Cade away and began to chase him everywhere, promising pain on Leo’s behalf.

“I did tell you he’d whack your head with a spatula for ignoring him,” Brady laughed, ignoring the two kids yelling in the background.

Leo felt Brady’s hands softly massaging where he’d been hit and damn, he wanted to lean in to those hands.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Leo said as he squeezed a handful of Brady’s ass.

Brady let out a sound between a gasp and a yelp while his hands quickly let go of Leo’s hair. The sexual tension between them so strong in the next few seconds you could cut it with a knife.

Leo’s hands itched to pull Brady onto his lap, but he knew he shouldn’t. Because if he did, his self control would snap then.

The tension was only broken when the kids came yelling back. Leo stood up and took a step away from Brady as the latter folded his arms and turned away to hide the color on his face.

Cade immediately went to wrap his arms around Leo. “Breadcrumbs Leo, breadcrumbs! They’re in that cabinet!”

Leo just stood crossing his arms and not budging. Cade had glued himself to him, his arms only reaching his waist and tightening while looking up. He hadn’t even known Cade for twenty four hours but he could swear he was going to be the death of him.

“Don’t be ridiculous Cade,” Brady said. “Jesus sometimes I wonder how you always have nearly perfect grades!”

This came as a wonder to Leo too. Nobody could blame him. This was after all, the same kid who thought that he had fish living in his head.

After several episodes of clingy Cade, somehow they’d bonded so well with Leo. They shared an immense mutual love for the same superheroes, and the Lego batman of course. Which Leo had promised they’d watch together sometime soon because Mr and Mrs Madison were back now, and he had to leave.

Leo had a chat with Brady’s mom where she’d insisted he call her Lily, while Brady wrapped things up with his dad.

“I hope these little rascals weren’t a bother honey,” the pretty lady said.

Between the pillow fights and the clingy episodes Leo assured her that they had been wonderful.

Soon they were being kissed goodbye, literally. And with everyone else out of earshot, Lily said to Leo, “I hope you don’t stop.”

“Wha-” Leo began.

“Looking at my son the way you do,” she finished then smiled. Leo smiled too, but he was flustered, he was shocked and he was glad.

He held Brady’s hand while they got into his apartment and once they were in and the door banged shut, he backed Brady against it and took his lips in a very brutal kiss.

One that was filled with longing and hunger and pent up desperation that felt like it had been buried for at least forever. He lost track of time as his lips explored Brady’s once more. Feeling like it was the first time. Tongues clashed and moans escaped. Leo didn’t know whose they were, he didn’t care.

He just wanted to kiss Brady so hard nobody else could ever compare. So hard that Brady’s lips would only ever crave his. When they pulled apart, Brady was panting, so was Leo. Not to mention how painfully hard he was at the moment, he wanted more, right here, right now.

“I don’t know about you,” Leo let out shakily. “But this has been a very difficult week.”

18. Only Human

It had only been two weeks but the way Brady’s body was already reacting to Leo alarmed him.

He felt the other man’s heat inches from him, felt his breath fan him when he spoke. Brady knew it was the reason goosebumps broke out across his skin. He was going to do this, he was actually doing this!

Brady draped one arm around the back of Leo’s neck and pulled him back to him. A means to continue from where they had left off. He tasted heat and want, fueling his own need, to hold on to this moment, this ritual, the marking of his lips.

By now Brady was sure he’d never been kissed like this, never had a kiss so good. The other frightening thought was that he was sure only Leo could do this to him, make him feel like this. Like all his insides were being incinerated just because of a simple touch of the lips.

He felt Leo’s hand reach lower and until it closed around his manhood. The one that was getting harder by every fleeting moment. He caressed it and Brady shuddered. Leo opened his zipper and the sparks were electric, the air was charged as the man a few inches taller looked him in the eye. His lips moist, coated in Brady’s DNA. He was so sexy, and Brady wasn’t fighting it anymore. at least not in his head. He could only watch, watch and try to breathe.

He watched as Leo sank to his knees and gripped the back of his thighs. Wait, what was he— they were right at the door!

Brady’s world stopped, he was aware of his own hand that cupped Leo’s cheek from where he was but had no idea when it got there, or how. With this man, his body always got the better of him.

He felt it when his cock sprang free, he felt rather than saw, when tongue first met skin, the time when all of his blood flowed southward, he didn’t even know it was possible for him to get harder.

“B-b-bed…your r-room-” Brady said while squirming.

“I know this shouldn’t be the place for your first time,” Leo said meeting his eyes from where he was. “But I’m only human Brady.”

The bluish grey of his eyes looked like they were pleading and Brady was just about ready to die. He couldn’t decide whether it was from how helpless he sounded or from the intensity with which Leo wanted him. Leo swallowed his cock before he could get the chance to properly nod.

Leo sucked him off like no one had ever before. His tongue swirling around his flesh before he was taken in once again. Circles drawn on his tip while big manly hands rubbed his base and groped his balls. Inside Leo’s mouth was hot, wet and talented. A circus and him the show master.

The sensations had Brady sagging all of his weight on the door. It had him sinking further and further, head thrown back against it, eyes closed facing heavenward and breathing shallow and infused with moans. By the time he had come, he was on the floor, Leo between his legs and the door, the only support system he had.

Leo hadn’t let him go when his release had left him. He swallowed up every drop of his seed and looked at him like a serving on a plate. Leo crashed his lips onto his and he tasted himself for the first time, not knowing what he was doing and making his mind up anyways.

He went for Leo’s pants before even his breathing could slow down. His body was like a furnace and there was only one thing to put out the heat, ironic how it was exactly the source of it.

He had never been so bold before but now his mind pushed every other thought aside and left only one, Leo. He wanted him, so very badly. Even if he might never measure up, he still wanted to make him feel the things he’d just felt.

And so Brady pushed Leo back gently and tugged down his pants. “You don’t have to, not yet…” Leo trailed off when Brady didn’t stop.

“It’s okay, I want to.”

Brady was glad when Leo didn’t protest and instead leaned back on his arms on either side of him. Brady looked at the marvelous cock for the first time, and as the pants slid lower, he found it harder to tear his eyes away. It was thick, it was veiny and it looked just about ready to burst.

There were so many first times tonight for Brady, and now was when he first touched another man’s cock. It was throbbing and it felt sort of amazing. It didn’t even register that he was moving until he put his unskilled mouth to the tip.

Leo shook at the initial contact and it encouraged Brady. The hissing sound Leo let out had him thinking this couldn’t be so bad. Brady then tried to put it all in his mouth but drew back coughing.

“Slow baby, slow,” Leo managed.

Despite his lack of expertise, Brady’s blood sang with the heaviness in Leo’s voice. He marveled at the uneven breaths the other male was subjected to. Did he do that? Was he even capable of such a thing? And even if he wasn’t, Leo had called him baby and nothing could bring him down.

Brady tried again, and with every stroke of his tongue he seemed to get better, at least Leo made it seem that way. At one point, Leo had pushed and held him away from his cock to even his breathing, his heart had soared. At another point, Leo put one hand to his shoulder and squeezed the base of his own cock to keep himself from coming, Brady’s pride swelled.

The knowledge that he made Leo this way was as intoxicating as when Leo was coming. “Fuck! Fuck! ohh…” Leo was uttering as Brady did a poor job of trying to swallow everything.

It wasn’t as gross as he thought it would be. During this whole time, Brady had become hard again, he was aware. It was strange, receiving pleasure from giving it. It was strange but always wonderful.

He was ecstatic as Leo, who was now resting on his elbows, shuddered beneath him.

Nothing was as perfect as that moment until Leo cried out that name, the name that was not Brady’s. The name that had his cock softening as fast as it had hardened.

Leo seemed to realize it after Brady had stopped moving. His eyes went wide. “No!” he said as he grabbed Brady’s hand. “It’s not wh-”

Brady was a little shaken as he pulled his hand away and wiped the corner of his mouth. The deep bruise to his ego rendered him speechless. He also didn’t know what to say to Leo. He didn’t cut it for him after all. And yet there he had been, swooning over the way he was making the other man feel.

He clothed his limp cock and then himself. Brady picked up the rest of his things and made for the door. He heard Leo scramble about, desperate movements to what? Stop him?

“Brady wait!” he heard but he was already pulling the door open. Why did everything have to happen so fast?  Why was he so upset?

He felt the strong hand close around his wrist. Brady turned gracefully and looked Leo dead in the eye, “Let go,” Brady was calm as his voice was firm.

Whatever Leo saw in his eyes seemed to scare him, he let Brady’s hand go like it burned him to hold it longer.

“Fuck!” Brady heard a very frustrated voice say from the other side as the door closed behind him. He walked away.

Who the fuck was Lisa?!

Here’s another update! Hope you liked it!

Thanks for reading! ❤

19. I See You

Brady swirled the spoon in his slowly melting ice cream. He rested the whole weight of his head on his fist connected to his chin. It was a sunny afternoon, but to Brady it felt like foul weather. He wasn’t outside but the sun wasn’t bright enough, everything felt gloomy.

The worst part about it was he didn’t understand why he felt this way. It’s not like he wanted to, it’s not like he hadn’t tried to lift his mood. He’d even called DeVante to cheer him up, but it only lasted as long as the phone call. He loved the fact that their friendship had progressed so much in such a short amount of time.

It had just been a day since his shock with Leo but twenty four hours didn’t seem enough to get over it. Did it also mean that Leo liked women too?

“Your mood is giving me the chills,” Jade pretended to hug himself and use his hands to warm himself. “I’ve almost never seen you like this, the last time was when you came over to brood about how Astrid cheated on you.”

That might be true, Brady thought.

But it was almost like Jade always pointed directly to the burned area whenever they had to talk or anything. His intuition was something Brady still couldn’t grasp. The accuracy with which it lashed, still a mystery.

Although what Jade had said right now wasn’t exactly accurate, it had it’s truths.

“It’s nothing I should be upset about,” Brady sighed, an attempt at shaking the gloomy mood off him, he failed miserably.

He watched as a child out the window left his mother’s grasp to bend down and pick up something, then rush back excitedly to share his findings with her. What the child had picked would have interested him so much if he wasn’t having such an annoying time.   “Except you are. And I know you, it’d need like at least the end of the world to bring you down,” Jade answered. He did know Brady pretty well, and this was going to end with Brady blabbering out everything.

“You would be too, if you thought you were doing your best and then he just shouts out someone else’s name.”

“What in hell are you even talking about?” Jade asked.

“Fine! I gave him a blowjob which really looked like he was enjoying and then boom! It’s a name that you don’t recognize that rolls off his tongue,” Brady heard himself say, he wondered where his filter always ran to when it came to Jade.

Brady crossed his arms, he was aware he was becoming angry again. But he wasn’t going to acknowledge the fact that it might be jealousy eating at him.

“You what?!! Is this the same guy who kissed you? Whom you also kissed back?” Jade showed mild surprise, contrary to his tone. “Alright the next time we meet here, call an ambulance ready because I know I’m going to have a heart attack.”

“Jade,” Brady looked to his friend. “I’m starting to believe I’m not straight after all. It’s very frustrating because I can’t get this man out of my head.”

“I’m always here with you, every step of the way. No matter who you want to be with. I’m only worried about someone taking advantage of you but I know for a fact that you’re a good judge of character. But in case of anything, you have me okay?”

Brady hid his face and nodded.

“How does it make you feel?” Jade said calmly after the previous shocking revelation. “The whole situation?”

“I don’t know, I don’t want to see him. But…”

“You want to see him at the same time?”

Brady was a bit surprised but nodded.

“It’s okay to feel that way too. What about him? Has he said anything to you, reached out? Anything?”

Brady thought of the messages piling up in his phone, the ones he had stubbornly refused to open. He also thought of the phone calls he’d ignored. And then he suddenly felt guilty. “He has, but I’m just…arghh every time I want to, it’s like I can’t. I don’t want to talk to him either.” Brady was pushing away something he knew was inevitable.

“You have to hear him out. Sometimes, things aren’t what they seem,” Jade said.

Brady always wondered how he could always sound so soft and warm with not so much as a smile on his face.

He still felt like after all this time, there was still a lot Jade hadn’t told him. So much under the surface. Why did he not smile? Or if he did, what had convinced him that it wasn’t worth it anymore? Of course that was really changing now with his husbands, but this was hardly the time for it.

“You know, you’re a tough guy but you don’t look it,” Brady laughed as he said it, the first genuine laugh he’d had in a while, and that was something for him because he was laughing almost all the time.

“If you insist,” Jade shrugged.

“Never seen anyone like you.”

“There’s no one like you either. There’s also the other option we’re dismissing. The notion that this could you,” Jade’s eyes shot to Brady’s, “falling in love.”

For the second time in his life, Brady choked on ice cream. The first time was when he was having a competition with Ella and Liam had decided to take on the role of comedian for the day, but that was a story for another day. He sputtered incessantly as Jade rubbed his back.

“Relax! I’m only joking.”

“Yeah,” Brady let out an uneasy laugh. “Yeah, of course.”

                ____________________

Brady got to his apartment. He’d picked one around the busiest parts of the city because it was most convenient, but he’d been thinking of moving. He just needed a little more time.

He stopped dead in his tracks as everything came in to view. Leo was leaning against his car, phone in hand and eyes darting between it and the entrance, as if waiting for Brady to come out anytime.

It was fight or flight for Brady. He knew he should talk to the man but one foot was already stepping back. He wasn’t ready for this. Maybe he  should come back later when Leo was gone. But of course he had to have the worst luck on the planet because the angle at which Leo’s neck rested rotated and halted right in his direction. Right where he’d been trying to run away.

Brady’s mouth opened slightly then clamped shut as Leo walked towards him. The taller man stood before him and Brady had to wonder if he really did get more handsome with every moment.

He wasn’t going to stay angry for long, this he knew deep down. So he’d use whatever anger he had left at the moment. He feigned indifference. “Shouldn’t you be at work?” Brady asked. A voice filled with spite.

“Work can wait, I need to talk to you,” Leo answered.

The sound of his voice was one Brady had never heard before. He looked down to where Leo’s fingers were restless. The man was desperate.

Brady faked a smile, “No,” he said and walked hastily to his apartment.

Leo was on his heel, “Why wont you?”

“Because I have nothing to say to you.”

“Then hear me out.”

Brady wasn’t having any of it until Leo grabbed his arm and used it to make him face him. “Brady, please,” he said, the emotion seeping out of all the broken parts of his voice.

Brady couldn’t pretend he hadn’t heard it. Brady stared at him, head turning a thousand screws per second. In his life currently, he had two weaknesses. One was sad people, who always tried to hide it because of how deep their scars went. His second weakness was Leo.

He’d thrown himself in the man’s life thinking he could walk away anytime he decided to, but that was quickly proving to be more difficult everyday, impossible even. And now, a sad Leo? One who’s voice even broke for Brady’s sake? It was more than he could handle. It ignited a fire within him, Brady had to do something.

Right then, the urge to hug Leo was stronger than the one to lock him out and be stubborn. He itched to, even almost took a step forward. Luckily he thought better of it. “Fine come on in,” he said and opened his door.

“Sit here,” Brady said pointing Leo to the kitchen table. “You can talk as I fix you something to eat.”

Leo did as Brady said. “You get bossy when you’re angry,” Leo said, more like an observation.

Brady didn’t miss the hint of pride in Leo’s voice. It played with his insides as it always did when Leo seemed to be pleased with him.

He decided to change the subject. “Speak,” oh shit, he did it again.

Leo only nodded. “First, I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean for that to happen.”

One didn’t need a genius to figure out what Leo was referring to. He interlaced his fingers and set his hands on the table, looking Brady in the eye as he said it.

“Of course you didn’t,” Brady wasn’t giving him any chances. When did he get like this, he was so jealous, and it was rapidly giving way to anger. Brady turned around to fish out what he could prepare in less than ten minutes.

“Don’t be like that, that attitude doesn’t suit you.”

“Oh and I’m sure you’d know exactly what suits me,” Brady couldn’t even recall if he’d ever been like this in his life.

“Fair enough.” Leo’s eyes darted from left, to right then down. “Just so you know, I thought of you the entire time, I really didn’t mean to.”

“Yeah, I wouldn’t be so sure.”

“No you have to believe me,” Leo said, the edge creeping into his voice.  “When you look at me, do you really think I want anyone else? Besides yourself?”

“Well whoever that name belongs to apparently,” Brady continued to avoid eye contact with Leo.

“Okay fucking stop it!” Leo got up, Brady was sure he hadn’t even noticed it. He walked right around to Brady and leaned in. “I see you, do not dismiss yourself as insignificant to me.”

Brady’s heart leapt. The anger was so vivid in Leo’s face. “I see you, its you I feel, it’s you I want.”

“You don’t have to worry about it, its not like we’re seeing each other,” came Brady’s cold reply.

“Except we are.”

“Yeah but not really right?”

“Why are you so angry about it? It’s the most you could do right? You don’t mean—” Leo took a break, he must have been taken aback, anyone would have been. “You want us to really go out? Is that what it is?”

“That’s not what I said.”

“That’s not a no either,” Leo countered. “You could try by actually asking me out.”

“No! No I wouldn’t—” Brady caught the look of hurt that crossed Leo’s face before it disappeared.

He couldn’t for the life of him figure out what was wrong with him today. He said all the wrong things in the smallest amount of time. Like the next thing he said, “Move.”

Brady didn’t say it to sound like a brat. He didn’t say it to hurt Leo. He really just wanted him to move, the man was so close and he might see the guilt written in his eyes. His eyes that he didn’t notice were tightly shut, like he was afraid Leo would kiss him, draw out the weaker side of him at will. A hand was on the hard planes of Leo’s chest, trying to push him away.

“Yeah you’re right, it’s not like we’re seeing each other,” Leo said, his voice so defeated.

With every fibre of his being, Brady regretted the words he’d initially uttered himself. When he opened his eyes, Leo had turned away.

Except we are, he thought. Except we are.

Leo did as he said, he moved. Gave him more space than he had asked for.

“Lisa is my ex, you have to know. It’s hard to keep her out of my head even until now, I loved her, I really did. And sometimes I wonder if part of me still loves her. But do I still want her? Not a chance with you around. Moments with you are when I can truly forget her. She’s the reason I still can’t fucking sleep! She’s the reason I still hurt. Everything hurts and I’m sick of feeling that way. I’d say I need you but this is temporary isn’t it?” Leo let out a bitter laugh.

He couldn’t see Brady shaking his head continuously because he was already stalking towards the door.

“No! wait, Leo—”

“I’m sorry Brady, I really am,” Leo said. He didn’t even look back as he stormed out.

Brady seemed frozen in place for a few seconds before rushing out to maybe find him, say something. Anything. All he got to see was the back of Leo’s car, speeding out in the distance, carrying with it a piece of him he’d read wrong.

I’m sorry Brady, I really am.

He sunk down against his door when he got back inside and pulled his knees to his chest.

I’d say I need you…

Somewhere in his chest was hurting. His head felt heavy against his knees as silently, he let his mind scream.

Yeah… about this chapter… how was it?

20. Can’t Think ‘Straight’

As something Leo couldn’t control, the sadness was annoying. He always hated the feeling but it seemed like it had quite the unrequited love with him. For fuck’s sake why couldn’t he just find happiness like everyone else? And why did it seem like the sadder he got, the happier everyone else was? Because of these thoughts he was angry.

The lovers’ quarrels they were having wasn’t helping Leo’s mental state. He lashed out at everyone, even for the smallest reasons. Everything pissed him off, even the coffee that was placed in front of him.

He had not texted Brady, and neither had the other done the same. Leo wasn’t exactly sure who was avoiding whom.

He also hated how his heart leapt whenever his phone pinged with a message or notification. Like right after he was staring daggers at the coffee. His phone pinged and he nearly jumped out of his seat, grabbing it. Only to check and find that it was something else and then hate himself for it. He hated what he was becoming, hated how Brady could reduce him to the things he thought he’d never be.

Life was frustrating.

Leo switched off his phone and got to work, because he knew he needed to. He wouldn’t get anything done if his phone was on.

After ages of working and being the biggest jerk to his colleagues, he left and went back to his apartment. Leo did everything on auto pilot, even the takeout he ordered. No matter what, it was impossible to shut Brady out of his mind. He was in the clothes he changed into, the space he looked into, the couch he sat on and even in the darkness when he closed his eyes. Leo was devastated.

Moments later, the doorbell rang as he was eating his food and his heart tried to break away from his chest. All his instincts screamed it was Brady. Leo began to pace because his mind was currently in a jumble. As the man walked back and forth contemplating who was at the door, he decided to put an end to his madness by putting whoever was on the other side out of their misery.

He walked to the large, white piece of wood, took a deep breath, and finally opened it.

His whole world froze as a hush fell upon him, it felt like a calming air was washing over him as his world slowed down and his lungs depended on the sight before his eyes, there was his Brady.

There was his Brady in one piece, and looking at him. His Brady come to see him. Nothing could have convinced him to take his eyes away. There was so much he wanted to say that he figured he should invite the other man in first.

“Can I come in?” Brady asked timidly. He looked sad, and Leo wanted to punch himself.

Leo still couldn’t trust himself to speak so he just moved to the side and let Brady in.

Brady still couldn’t meet his eyes as he walked in and Leo still hasn’t said a word. Before Leo could voice his thoughts, what do you need? Can I get you anything? How do I make you stay longer? You

don’t

have to say anything, just be here.

Brady suddenly spoke, he seemed to be fighting an inner battle but then finally decided to let it out. He wrung his hands together and spoke to Leo. “I overreacted, I’m so sorr—”

“No, I should be the one apologizing, I shou—”

Brady let out an empty chuckle and put a finger to Leo’s lips to shush him. He shook his head, “I’m sorr—”

Leo gathered fistfuls of Brady’s shirt and pulled him into a kiss before he could finish what he was saying. He just couldn’t help himself. Here was Brady… here was Brady.

“You’re not mad at me?” Brady asked.

“What’s there to be mad about, when I can finally have you this close again?”

Brady gasped.

This time Leo found himself taking Brady down with him on the couch, holding the other male tightly on top of him. They shared an extremely intimate moment when they broke apart. It seemed like Brady couldn’t tear his eyes away and neither could Leo. It felt like forever before they both blinked and looked anywhere else.

Leo thought Brady’s eyes had looked glassy before he felt the smaller hands tighten around him. His breath caught when Brady’s head fell softly against his chest.

“I want to do it,” the ray of sunshine said. “Go all the way.”

Leo felt like inside his body was being charged with ample volts of electricity. “Don’t just say things like that Brady, you have to be sure and most certainly not because you feel guilty,” Leo’s hoarse voice was not any help at the moment, it was all the telltale anyone needed to out him. He wanted this more than Brady did.

“It’s not because I’m guilty, and I’m sure,” Brady rested his elbows along Leo’s torso and looked him in the eye, eyebrows furrowed but the desire in his eyes plain as day. “I want you so bad right now.”

Brady took Leo’s hand and guided it to his crotch. The boldest thing he’d ever seen Brady do. Goosebumps broke out on his skin as he felt the hard length in his hand. He hadn’t doubted Brady, he just wanted no take backs.

Some things didn’t need rocket science formulas to comprehend. This was one of those things.

Leo got them both up and held Brady by the waist as one hand skittered up under his shirt. He pinched a nipple bud and felt it get harder against the tip of his fingers. “So sensitive,” he said and Brady arched his back, saying non committal words.

Leo pulled Brady’s shirt off and ogled what was just shortly before beneath. “Fuck,” he breathed out.

He frowned when Brady put his hands together in front of him and looked down, as if to hide himself.

“Nope,” Leo said, pulling those same hands to him and kissing Brady’s knuckles. “No such thing.”

“But it’s kinda too much! How you look at me,” Brady whined.

“And how is that?” Leo pulled his own shirt off and discarded of it. “How do I look at you?”

Brady was in a trance as Leo stood bare chested before him.

“Then I guess it’s mutual,” Leo concluded.

“Hmm?” Brady placed his palm to touch Leo’s chest, mind in wonderland. “Yeah sure.”

Leo stiffened briefly as the fingers created sparks across his skin. He was pretty sure Brady hadn’t even heard what he had said. He chuckled. Then stopped when Brady hands were suddenly on his zipper, he was going to be the death of him.

“Not here, not a chance.”

They threw away pieces of clothing leaving a trail to the bedroom. At the foot of the bed they made out like their lives depended on it.

There was not even a thin strip of cloth separating them, as their cocks rubbed together. Too hard and sensitive, they broke away.

Leo took one arm to squeeze Brady’s ass and the other gasped, color creeping to his cheeks as he averted his eyes. “We’re both literally naked,” Leo said. “Look at me.”

When Brady looked at him, Leo wished he hadn’t asked. Those eyes, they always made his knees so weak. “If anything, I should be embarrassed for failing to keep my hands off you,” Leo pulled him closer. “Now, we fuck.”

Brady was pushed onto the bed as Leo climbed on top of him, soon his lips found work to do, distracting as the hard length prodding against his stomach was. He wanted to—

“Can I suck it?” Brady asked and Leo let out a heavy breath.

“Ask me again,” Leo said between kisses. “Suck what?”

He was such a tease.

“Your cock, can I suck it? Please?”

“Okay you’re too cute,” Leo admitted.

Brady wanted it so bad and when it was finally in his mouth, he tasted heaven. It was astounding the amount of time it took for him to become fixated on cock, to be specific, Leo’s. Just once and even though he tried to hide it, he thought about it a lot.

Lately, in their time apart, he got horny a lot of the time. All it would take were a few thoughts of Leo and he was a goner.

Brady tried his best, but this wasn’t about performance, he’d never wanted someone so much in his life. And the hard flesh in his mouth tasted better than anything else he had ever tasted. He loved the taste of the pre-come that hit his taste buds. And he wanted more.

“You have to stop,” said Leo’s hoarse voice. “I want to come when I’m inside you.”

A shiver went through his body when Leo rubbed his hole. Never had he been touched there, and he didn’t know how it would feel. It felt good. But he was shaken.

“You really want this?” Leo asked.

Every doubt in his head was suddenly cleared as he unwillingly let the beautiful cock covered in his saliva go. He nodded.

Right after taking his lips again, Leo got lube and used an ample amount to prep him. Brady braced himself for whatever he was going to take.

“Your eyes are closed,” Leo said and before Brady could open them, those lips captured his again. Even without knowing it, he moaned into the kiss. It was the sweetest thing, Leo distracting him while working his hole with his fingers and lube.

He stiffened when the first finger got in and stretched him, but Leo did not stop kissing him so he knew everything was going to be alright.

He wouldn’t deny it. It felt good. Leo broke the kiss after the second finger and lay Brady on his back. Gently raising one leg, he exposed Brady.

“I’ll stop when you tell me to.”

Brady nodded again, unable to take his eyes off Leo. The other man was something else. He hadn’t even realized he was cupping his cheek until Leo leaned into the touch. Then seemed to think better of it and stopped.

Brady didn’t have time to be disappointed, Leo pushed his cock into him, slowly, inch by inch. But reassuring Brady all the while, kissing him, brushing the hair off his face and telling him he was beautiful. Brady wanted to melt.

“It hurts,” he said. He caught and squeezed Leo’s hand before he could do anything stupid. “Don’t you dare pull out. It hurts a little, but it’s okay.”

Leo nodded. So much pride in his gaze.

Leo was fully in him now, Brady tried to breathe as Leo moved in and out. In no time, the burn faded and Brady was consumed with lust, desire and everything in between. Leo seemed to read his mind and went faster and harder. This was surreal.

“Leo… Leo I can’t—”

“Can’t what? Think straight?” Leo chuckled.

Oh this man!

“You’re overwhelming,” Leo said, looking into his eyes.

Brady shuddered when Leo hit something deep inside him. “Found it,” he said.

“Wha—” he started but Leo was already kissing him, and moving, and hitting that spot again.

Three times was all it took, and Brady was shouting out his name, coming with the force of a hurricane, something he’d never felt in his life.

As Leo groaned, and came inside him, he moved faster inside him for a few seconds before going still.

After Leo had spilled his last, without pulling out he collapsed on top of Brady, whose hands wrapped protectively around the bigger man. I’ve got you, I’ve got you.

Brady was still trying to catch his breath as their bare chests touched and he felt a heart beat harder than it should. Maybe it was his, maybe it wasn’t.

“You’re shaking,” he said to Leo.

“Like I said, you overwhelm me,” Leo said. Brady didn’t recognize the voice, he loved it, it made Leo sound the way he felt. What he said next had Brady’s breath catching and lust raging. “You don’t know how hard it was to take this slow.”

21. Granny

Brady knew he wasn’t at his own place when he opened his eyes. He felt warmth around him and inside him. All the way from the strong arms engulfing him in a cuddle. The realization made his heart race, and he noticed that the other man was awake.

“Good morning,” Leo said to him in a gruff voice and kissed his forehead. Where the lips had touched him tingled. Then he became a furnace, admittedly because of one tiny act.

Brady couldn’t handle it and his body acted on it’s own accord. He hid his face in the crook of Leo’s neck without meaning to and let out a muffled ‘good morning’. He was sure he would have burst if he had looked Leo in the eye. He was becoming alarmingly sensitive when it came to this man.

Leo cursed and tightened his hold on him, here were hands Brady wanted to be held by for a long time. He loved how good they made him feel, like he was the center of Leo’s world. And somewhere in the murky depths of his heart, he dared to want exactly that.

When Brady pulled away, he met Leo’s far away eyes that held his own. “I think I’m-” Brady heard Leo speak then stop. He had to admit, he was very curious to hear the rest of it so he didn’t interrupt. After waiting an eternity, Leo just shook his head briefly, “Breakfast,” he said.

“ You’re breakfast?“ Brady asked and laughed it out. “I mean, I’m definitely not complaining,” Brady put on what he hoped was a very sleazy face as he got off the bed. No sooner had he stepped down than he winced. “Ahh-”

Leo’s gaze shot to him. Eyes calculating, and swimming with something Brady couldn’t place. “You’re sore,” he said more than asked.

Brady did not see any threat that corresponded to the protective look on Leo’s face. It didn’t last long though, because then Leo grinned wickedly, never taking his eyes off the other male.

“There’s always other options in situations like this,” he said as he stalked closer to Brady. “Have you heard of them Brady?”

“What do you-” Brady started but in one swift motion, he was lifted off his feet. He squirmed and squealed but Leo didn’t let go, or put him down.

Leo cut off other complaints with his mouth as he walked them towards the bathroom.

There was bacon and pancakes before them, an omelette and croissants, sausages and all kinds of breakfast foods. Leo really did go all out when he ordered the food, with the knowledge of how much Brady loved to eat. He knew it and loved it.

He didn’t let it get past him either, that Brady was quickly becoming his strongest drug, and the most addictive one at that. “You are glowing,” Leo said.

Brady blushed and took a moment to gather himself. “And who says you aren’t?” he countered and Leo almost froze. He caught the evil smile on Brady’s face and swore revenge another time.

Leo couldn’t help himself, he found himself transfixed on the sight of Brady gobbling everything up. “What?” Brady stopped with cheeks full and more going to his mouth.

“You’re adorable,” Leo said.

“No I’m not!” Brady’s face had yet again betrayed him. “Why aren’t you even eating?”

“Oh that?” Leo was more than happy to lay it out for Brady. “Well, this morning, I had quite the breakfast.”

Brady had not understood what Leo was talking about until he winked at him. The memories came flooding back. Leo on his knees on the bathroom floor, him trembling and anticipating what was going to take place, soreness forgotten, where only his hard as rock dick, and a man named Leo existed.

That had been one hell of a blowjob.

“Jesus Christ Leo!” Brady exclaimed.

Leo just smiled, the look on his face nothing short of dirty. More like dirty promises. Brady’s face really changed colour this time he was sure of it.

He held a strip of bacon to Leo’s mouth and wouldn’t budge till Leo sighed and opened his mouth. “Now shut up and eat,” he said after shoving the piece of food into Leo’s mouth. Freaking relax, he told himself.

Due to Brady’s huge help, they cleared the table in a matter of minutes, and got up to leave. It had really been a trying breakfast.

“I’m taking us somewhere give me the keys.” Brady didn’t even wait for Leo’s response, he grabbed them and got in. Leaving only one option for Leo.

The ride was very short, and Brady knew at the back of his mind that it was an uncomfortable one, because he noticed that Leo had been looking at his phone way too much. He refused to admit it was jealousy. It wasn’t.

He stopped the car at a grocery store he knew too well. Of course Leo had protested then thought better of it and let Brady do his thing.

Leo picked nothing, not because he wasn’t used to shopping groceries and Brady was in charge here, but because he was too distracted by Brady’s brightness wherever he walked.

He made small talk about everything he picked, like he did this kind of thing everyday of his life. He did it all so beautifully, so elegantly. Leo was lost and he did not know what he was doing.

Brady was reading the back of something he had picked, only for Leo to close the distance between them. He glued his front to Brady’s back, taking the other by surprise. “What are you doing?” Brady asked, ignoring the flips his insides did.

“I want you,” Leo said and the flips became erratic.

Brady gasped when Leo kissed the back of his neck.

“We’re at a grocery store,” he squirmed and let out.

“Let’s just leave. Hmm?” Leo sounded like a drunk man as he lightly nibbled at Brady’s neck.

“Leo…” Brady began to say when a woman who seemed to be in her thirties passed by them with a disgusted look on her face and it was only natural to Leo that he handle the situation.

“What? Disgusted because you’ve seen something so wrong?” Brady ran his mouth faster than Leo could. “Well guess what? We’re happier than you are granny-”

“I’m not even that old!” She looked like she couldn’t believe Brady had just said that.

“Yeah, keep frowning like that and you’ll get there faster than I have my first child.”

Leo’s heart spiked. Well damn!

“So I suggest you fix your face. Because we’re people too.”

The woman scoffed and Brady ignored her.

“Come on babe, lets go,” he said and gave Leo a full on kiss and made sure the lady watched, or could watch.

He broke away, tugging at Leo’s hand so he could follow.

Leo felt too drunk to apprehend what was going on. But he managed to speak to the lady. “He’s not usually like that. I’m the mean one, so if it’s any help to you, I’m shocked too. But people like you suck.” The woman’s hand went to rest over her heart.

“Now if you’ll excuse us,” Leo said with a big smile and let Brady pull him away gladly.

“I’ve never seen you so pissed off. Apart from maybe when… you know,” Leo said to Brady after the whole scenario with the lady.

He had to admit, he actually thought Brady might deny it- them. Because he thought Brady was still refusing to come to terms with his sexuality. He completely understood and was ready to come to his defence when it all went down. And once again he felt like a jerk for underestimating this man.

“Yeah I’ve never understood people like that. I mean what could be so wrong about love right?” Brady said.

Leo was sure his brain had exploded. And he only noticed he had squeezed Brady’s hand when the other man pulled it away, as if just realizing what he had said.

“No no- I’m sorry, I don’t mean-”

“Hey, it’s okay, I get it.” Leo reassured.

Leo left a quick kiss on his forehead and smoothed his hair. His heart ached a little. No, it’s not okay, it said.

Brady got back to the driver’s seat as Leo put all the groceries in the trunk.

His eyes fell on the phone Leo had so carelessly dropped on the passenger seat.

Without thinking he reached out to check it out because one, he was curious about Leo’s sudden attention on his phone earlier and two, why was he texting someone so much because that was what the screen showed him, message threads.

Brady was so jealous, before he could read anything, all he saw was a name and Leo opened his door to get in. Brady quickly acted like he’d seen nothing and done nothing.

He began to pull away.

“Hey!” They both heard someone yell. Brady looked out his window to see that it was the same lady from the store.

She didn’t have the same look from before. Right now, Brady noticed there was so much kindness and pain in her eyes he couldn’t believe it was the same person. “I’m sorry!” she said.

Brady got out of the car and walked up to her. “Do you want to talk?”

“You’d be willing to talk to me? To hear me out?” So much doubt in her voice.

“Sure,” Brady said with a smile. He got Leo to join them because he didn’t want to imagine what he could be doing alone, with his phone in the car. They sat by a table outside and bought drinks. And waited for her to talk after they’d all introduced themselves.

“It’s um…” She faltered but the other two remained silent, somehow encouraging her.

“It’s my son. I-I love my husband, so I let whatever he says go, even judging people for who they are,” her hands tightened on her drink. “No, it’s actually my fault for being so naive. I thought because he couldn’t accept our son for who he is, I couldn’t either.” A tear escaped her eye.

“You’re just like him you know? My son.” She went on, “Not exactly, he isn’t the type to stand up for himself but I recognize him in that bright look in your eyes. He was happy too, before he came out to us. And now I think he’s ashamed of himself, because I, because his own mother couldn’t-”

Even Brady knew that she had to let it all out. All he could offer was his shoulder and the sensations of his palms on her back.

Her breath came out rugged. “I cant- I can’t let him be who he isn’t anymore. I’m choosing my son from now on. I’m sorry… I’m only a stranger and first I disrespect you then now I’m losing it in front of you.”

“No no! it’s really fine. I understand,” Brady tried to put her at ease.

“Thank you so much,” she snivelled. “For this. I’ll leave you two to your own devices.” She tried for a smile that came out weak and sad.

“My son needs me,” she got up to leave. “I really hope we meet again.”

So did Brady and Leo. She muttered a few more apologies and she left.

Only now did Brady notice how quiet Leo had been the entire time. He decided to let it go. “Well that was intense, let’s go.”

Brady’s confusion was fueled by the way Leo now held him, those strong arms, wrapped around him, trembling slightly.

His heart wept for the man as he figured the lady must have somehow hit close to home. “Anytime you’re ready baby, anytime.” Brady said as he held him tighter. Leo nodded.

Once they were back in the car, it didn’t take long before Leo was back to his phone, which, if Brady was being honest, made him feel insecure. Even though he had no right. He drove on.

“Since when are you on your phone so much?” Even Brady heard the bitter edge to his own voice.

It scared him how the other person’s name was saved. Why was Leo smiling?! He found himself getting angry. And the fact that Leo hadn’t even heard him made everything worse.

Pulling up at the apartment, Brady got out and grabbed some of the groceries and made to go inside.

“Hey! Are you okay?” Leo asked and got out.

Brady didn’t answer, he wasn’t sure what he would say. And also because, he just wanted to kick Leo. So he walked in, leaving the other man staring after him in confusion and worry.

It’s been a while, hey my loves!

22. A New Discovery

Leo stared after Brady as he stormed inside. His mind in a jumble, what had he done wrong? He picked up the rest of the stuff and followed inside, half anticipating the worst and half hoping.

He walked in to find Brady putting everything away in place and in order, jaw set in an unfathomable annoyance and lips almost jutting out in stubbornness.

Leo stared a while, Brady’s back to him, before working up the courage to walk up to him. “Hey,” Leo said as his hand slowly snaked it’s way around Brady’s waist. He found it was a very easy thing to do, the fonder he grew of that waist.

Before he could completely hold him however, Brady recoiled. “Don’t touch me!” he said, stepping away to fill other cabinets with supplies.

Leo snatched his hand back and was at a loss for words as he watched Brady in disbelief. “At least tell me what I did wrong,” Leo sounded desperate.

“Oh so now , you want to give me attention,” came Brady’s reply.

“What the hell are you talking about?”

The answer that met him next consisted of no words. Resigned for the moment, Leo stalked over to sit on the couch and rethink every thing he’d done in the last hour or so. And maybe figure out why he was unjustly being punished, specifically by receiving the silent treatment.

He didn’t sit for long before his elbow went to rest on top of the couch and his head whipped around to locate Brady. As if looking at him could conjure up the answers he needed. How he just loved to watch him.

And now there was the need again, to hold him so tightly against him and just be. For now, Brady would have none of it he knew. He pushed the other thoughts away. Of what he was going to do when all this was over. He tried to convince himself that he would handle it well. He wouldn’t be left a broken shell with no one to pick up his pieces when— Leo shook the thoughts from his head.

Brady, on the other hand ignored him relentlessly, no matter what he tried to do, which wasn’t much because of the simple fact that he couldn’t touch Brady, because otherwise he could have done a million things.

He got into Brady’s space over and over, he asked a lot of questions, which Brady brushed off with not so much as a word. And then finally he couldn’t take it anymore and sighed out his frustration.

Even after he’d tried to let Brady be, it seemed some things were out of his control. He couldn’t spend five minutes out of Brady’s sight knowing something was wrong. As if the man would walk out the door and never return if he wasn’t watching.

Because it was the only way he knew how, Leo walked up to Brady, took both of his wrists in his and pinned him to the kitchen counter, forcing him to look no where else but at him.

“This is driving me crazy, let me know what I did, how I can fix it,” Leo searched Brady’s eyes for whatever, or for all he knew it could have just easily been an excuse to stare. Was

that—

Leo’s mind came to a grinding halt as he noticed, and felt. “Is this turning you on?” Leo asked, very intrigued.

Sure enough their groins were touching, but he had been so wrapped up in getting to the bottom of Brady’s actions that he had paid no mind to it, he hadn’t noticed, not until he felt something harden.

Brady blushed hard and looked down.

Leo, gathering all the self control in the world and beyond, decided he was going to have to take one for the team and slowly lifted Brady’s chin, to watch his face. “What’s wrong?” he asked slowly, ignoring what to him, was the elephant in the room.

“Why don’t you ask beautiful eyes?” Brady said, referring to how the name had been saved when he’d checked hastily.

“What are you—”

It struck him then, who Brady was talking about, what this was all about. So it was jealousy?

“You couldn’t even look at me, couldn’t even hear me when I spoke to you. So I figured you’d rather much pay attention to whoever that is,” Brady’s features portrayed stubborn, he looked away.

“That um… that is someone really important to me,” Leo almost faltered.

Brady’s expression fell, and defeat replaced defiance. As if all his fears had just been confirmed true.

“Yeah, exactly, so you can go talk to them,” he tried to snatch back his arm but Leo only held him tighter. He didn’t let go.

“Oh but how can I? When they’re trying to walk away from me?” Leo said.

Brady gasped that sweet gasp that would forever be music to Leo’s ears.

“You–you…”

“Think you have beautiful eyes? Yes, definitely. And you might want to check your phone later,” Leo now smirked, glad that was another thing so quickly put behind them,“Right now we have more pressing matters I’m afraid.”

Brady walked back into his arms, “You stupid, stupid man,” he said as he brought their foreheads to rest against one another.

“Now for our latest discovery, as I recall, something seemed to turn you on,” Leo said in an amused way.

And this was when Brady decided to squirm away. Unsuccessfully of course. “I’m not turned on, there’s no proof of that,” Brady protested, even if his voice didn’t sound convincing at all.

“We’ll just have to experiment and see,” Leo knew there was no stopping him.

And in one swift move Leo turned Brady around and this time pinned his front to the wall. Hands firmly in Leo’s grip behind him, Brady grunted.

“Is it, you like to be held down?” Leo questioned.

“No I don’t,” Brady said quickly. Did he really think admitting to this kind of thing was embarrassing? It was the hottest thing ever!

“But your dick sure seems to love it,” Leo was very smooth, even as his hand struggled to keep away from Brady’s crotch where sure enough, a tent was pitching.

He finally turned him around, hands still pinned together, but this time above him. Brady was defenceless, totally at Leo’s mercy.

Leo shoved Brady against the wall and leaned in, “I think, you like it when I’m being forceful… is that it?” Leo asked and Brady moaned. If sex ever had a language, that sounded like the fattest yes to Leo.

Once again, more forceful than before, Leo turned Brady around, the latter’s chest slamming into the wall as Leo held his hands behind him once again, like a cop cuffing a criminal.

Leo pulled Brady’s pants down until they stopped mid thigh. His own cock harder than ever because of the simple logic behind it, the fastest way for him to get hard was when Brady was aroused, simple as that. He fondled the other man through his underwear.

“Hard as a rock, so, you were saying?” Leo wanted to tease.

Brady didn’t say anything and Leo noticed he was biting his lower lip, the list of things he liked about Brady just seemed to grow endless everyday. This one was another key factor to turning him on, Brady so far gone.

Soon the underwear was pushed down too and skin finally, touched skin. Brady’s movements became frantic but Leo only held him tighter against the wall. His breathing shallow as he brought his mouth to Brady’s ear. “That’s more like it,” Leo’s husky voice said.

The hand that had pulled the pants down was now behind Brady’s head, holding it in place, against the wall.

“N-not her-” Brady began to say but was cut off by Leo. He moved a hand to cover up Brady’s mouth, so that whatever came out next was muffled and died at his lips.

“You’re going to shut up and take whatever I give you, you understand?” Leo’s voice was firm, commanding and ruthless.

Brady’s moan was loud and desperate and Leo knew exactly what to do. “I see how much you want it.”

Leo let go of his mouth and used the hand to stroke Brady’s hard flesh, first slowly, then he paused, hands still around the other man’s cock. Brady started to move back and forth, a desperate plea for Leo to continue stroking him.

“Aw would you look at that. You like to play right into my hand don’t you? Pun intended,” then he chuckled darkly. Who knew, maybe Brady had the power to make him a psychopath.

To save a life, Leo continued to stroke Brady. This time the strokes were faster and firmer, using the precum at the tip to make Brady groan with every single stroke.

When Brady’s breathing became hitched, Leo knew he was close and added even more speed. “Yeah that’s right, come for me,” he urged.

Brady’s breaths first became shallow, then his moans became high pitched right before he orgasmed all over Leo’s hand, shudders racking through his body as he couldn’t seem to find a suitable amount of oxygen to calm his lungs.

“You’re not done yet,” Leo’s hoarse voice said to Brady, not giving him a chance to rest. “Get on your knees,” Leo said and took Brady’s hand in his, guiding it to feel how hard he was.

Brady seemed excited by the realization and immediately got to his knees, fiddling with Leo’s pants. There seemed to be so many layers of cloth.

When Leo’s cock finally sprang free of the underwear, it bobbed then moved sideways and hit Brady against one cheek, and for some reason he thought it best to choose that moment to look up at Leo.

“Oh my God! Oh fuck!” Leo marvelled at the sight, the eyes looking up at him, the desire and vulnerability in them, the person they belonged to and he couldn’t wait anymore.

He guided Brady’s head that had moved away, to his cock and before he could tell him, Brady opened his mouth, and Leo knew how much his cock was wanted.

Leo shoved his veiny hard-on into Brady’s wet, waiting mouth. This was not going to be a blowjob, he was going to fuck the hell out of Brady’s mouth.

Leo gripped Brady’s hair and used it to keep him in place while he wrecked his mouth. “Such a good mouth,” Leo said. “It’s my little fuck hole isn’t it? Whenever and wherever I want it?”

Leo noticed that Brady had one hand squeezing his own cock and despite his mouth being occupied, Brady still managed a weak ‘mm hmm’ as his eyes shot to Leo. Leo’s heart fluttered. Where the hell had Brady come from? This creature that made him reach his peak with the smallest of effort, he still couldn’t get it.

Without ever breaking eye contact, a few more strokes was all it took and Leo came hard into Brady’s throat. He groaned in pleasure and tried to stay still, doing a poor job of it, despite using the wall for support.

Brady continued to suck him, even after he had swallowed everything up. Leo patted his head and then wiped a drop of his seed that had found it’s escape from Brady’s mouth. Brady sucked his finger hungrily and he thought there was nothing sexier.

Finally, he pulled away and brought Brady to his feet.

“That was… quite educational,” Leo looked down between them. “And I might have created another problem.”

Indeed he had, Brady was once more as hard as ever, trying to cover up the obvious.

“You really like this don’t you?” Leo asked.

“I don’t hate it,” Brady tried to sound cool, betraying himself by flaming up and looking away. It was clear that he didn’t really understand how well Leo could read him. Sometimes he didn’t even have to speak.

“Yeah no kidding, you don’t hate it so much you’ve become insatiable.” Leo moved closer, leaning in and kissing Brady’s jaw.

Slowly, he bit the side of his neck lightly. “Come on, let’s try something new,” he said.

23. The Plan

“You’re beautiful,” Jade said to Devi and Brady gasped. He was in the process of introducing them and couldn’t quite believe his ears.

“In all the time I’ve known you, never have you given me a compliment, wow so much for friendship. Did I not bat my lashes enough?” Brady demonstrated, earning a scoff from Devi.

“It’s not a compliment, it’s a fact,” Jade said.

“It’s not like I’m jealous or anything but you’ve never facted me or whatever,” Brady pouted. “Might even have to call child services,” he mumbled, crossing his arms.

“Okay here’s a fact for my sweet Brady, you talk way too much,” Jade said.

“Ouch,” Brady said then smiled suddenly. “It’s not as flashy but I’ll take it! It’s sort of like my superpower too so yeah…” Jade rolled his eyes.

“Yeah no kidding,” Devi said and Jade smirked. “The rest of us just have to live in consistent agony because of our super limited verbosity, don’t we?”

Brady narrowed his eyes, “It’s nice to know you two are going to get along just fine, ugh,” pinching the bridge of his nose.

He remembered why he was here in the first place.

Leo had started it. Acting distant for whatever reason. And Brady didn’t know how to deal with it.

Still no reply…

Brady’s frustration came back to him. Which he seemed to be doing a lot of lately. Yes Leo had said this was sort of a busy week for him but something didn’t feel right about it. Which is how he carried out the most effective ritual he came to know of.

“I mean… we’ve gone all the way by now–”

“Did you just–?” Jade scoffed. “Okay are the paramedics outside?”

“Well why are you shocked? You should have seen them at the club baby!” Devi said to Jade.

Brady had invited them both for ice cream, thinking it was time they met. Brady didn’t know why he was worried the two might not get along. He’d been worried at first because he didn’t know how Jade would handle new people in his life. In his own experience, he had just sort of stuck around in determination till Jade accepted him.

But then again, what harm could it have done him?

He’d introduced them and despite the fact that they spoke like friends from way back, they’d only met like ten minutes ago. They got along better than Brady had expected, to his relief.

“Okay spill out every fucking detail,” Jade said, reeling back in his seat.

Brady spilled. He started from the club, to his family, to their fight and make up. Finally, what was bugging him currently. Devi also seemed to be fascinated by the escalation of the events evident by the widening of his eyes in several parts.

“He’s even met the family! Devi can you believe this guy?”

“Actually yeah,” Devante replied, thinking Jade must be coming from somewhere else.

“You don’t understand, not even two months ago, our innocent looking Brady was only into girls,” Jade said.

“You’re joking right?” Devi was amused. He looked from Brady to Jade and then back.

“Can you guys stop talking like that? I’m right here you know.” Brady rolled his eyes.

“You seem to have missed something important here, who is this guy?” Jade asked.

Brady took a deep breath, “It’s Leo,” he said.

Three, two, one…

“No! No fucking way! Met’s Leo?”  Jade couldn’t believe it.

“Who’s Met?” Devi asked.

“Okay okay, one at a time. Jesus! Kids huh?” Brady chuckled in the way an exhausted grown up would.

“Met is Jade’s husband, and if the name Sean comes up anywhere, I’ll have you know that that, also is Jade’s husband. You see, Leo works for Met so you can guess how we… well, met, no pun intended. And yes Jade your Met’s Leo.”

“You’re married to two people huh?” Devi asked.

“Wipe that smirk off your face,” Jade said to Devi good naturedly. Then turned to Brady.

“You haven’t even known him a month, Brady,” Jade had worry lacing his voice.

“Almost a month now to be precise,” Brady added, more worried than Jade. It was one of the few things he left out, that when time came to a month, everything could be over.

“I can’t believe this, you hadn’t known Leo for more than two weeks at the club! You should have seen the chemistry between them that night Jade, chills!”

“Okay can we focus on the important issue at hand?” Brady tried to pull them back.

“I don’t know why he’s acting distant, and I really don’t think it’s work. And we’re running out of time,” Brady added absentmindedly.

“What do you mean you’re running out of time?” Devi asked.

“Oh did I say that? Sorry, it’s just something I can’t talk about now.”

“Okay, cool but have you tried asking him upfront?” Devi asked again.

“Can’t,” Brady answered, “I’ll appear desperate. I sort of think it’s just me.”

“Oh hun, no,” Devi said, squeezing Brady’s arm.

“Well there’s a way to find out for sure, and bury that doubt,” Jade said.

“I love the look on your face! Tell us of this way,” Devi was excited and motioned his hands for dramatic effect as he said it.

“I suggest we order more ice cream boys, I’ve got a plan.”

                           _____________

It was exactly a short while later, that Brady found himself browsing very revealing wear. In fact so revealing it allowed for heat to creep up to his face, maybe fanning himself wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

“Why the hell did you bring me here?” He asked both Jade and Devi.

“We know more about this and you don’t,” said Jade.

“So don’t ask questions and follow our lead,” Devi finished.

“You’re already finishing each other’s sentences, oh what have I done?” Brady said in surrender.

“This is like some sort of sex shop!” Brady lowly exclaimed after another short while, much to the amusement of the other two.

Devi giggled. “But it isn’t. Relax it’s just lingerie and underwear.

“Look at some of the stuff!” Brady continued as if he hadn’t heard anything. “Like they’re trying to pull off the emperor’s new clothes!”

“Oh please,” said Devi.

They continued their browsing, when Brady suddenly caught Devi flinching from the corner of his eye. Jade was there in a second.

“Get your filthy hands off him shitface,” he said to the guy who had not so subtly groped Devi’s ass. How people managed to be so disgusting, he couldn’t fathom.

Brady hated to admit that he was a handsome guy, because of how much of a shitty person he was.

“And what are you going to do about it?” he asked Jade confidently.

“I don’t know either, but I wouldn’t mind finding out,” Jade got closer to him and Brady saw the veins of anger he wasn’t used to seeing.

“You know, you’re not too bad yourself.”

Jade punched him. Strong enough to make him stagger backwards.

“Son of a–” Jade’s sentence was not completed because the guy hit him back.

There was a moment where everyone paused and seemed to hold their breath, as if waiting for what was next. Then Jade smirked, then scoffed and Brady could have sworn that in that moment the devil had entered the room.

“I can tell the size of your balls with the way you pack a punch,” Jade gripped his jaw in one hand and squeezed. “And I have to admit, I’m really not impressed.”

He noticed it then, the quivering in the guy’s gaze, the quickening in his breathing, and the way his pupils seemed to dilate and Jade knew that in that moment he could have told him to sit and he would have done so, right at his feet.

He smirked again, but there was nothing good natured about it. “You sick fuck.”

“Is everything okay here?” asked a staff personnel.

“Everything’s fine,” Jade said without ever looking away, then lowered his voice. “Apologize,” he said to the guy.

He seemed to hesitate and Jade narrowed his eyes.

“Sorry– uhh I’m sorry,” he said, looking in Devi’s direction.

Devi’s jaw continued to hang open, as he only nodded, eyes still fixed on Jade.

“What is your name?” Jade asked.

“Max,” he replied too quickly.

“Max,” Jade was the calmest part of a tempestuous sea. “Fucking behave yourself.”

                             ____________

“Did you see that?!” Brady asked after everything had gone down, despite knowing that everyone had been present. “It’s like dominance is genetically wired into your dna! Or do people just cave whenever they see you? Like how did you do that? Tell me, I’ll take notes. How to tame a man in three seconds. Oh my!”

“Shut up Brady. You guys wait for me in the car, I’ll pay for these,” Jade said as he took everything.

Brady started to protest but Jade cut him off. “Let me do this,” Jade said and Brady stopped.

It’s like his whole demeanor had changed and something told Brady to let it go. Something about that guy earlier had clearly unnerved him and Brady could see that, he needed some sort of distraction, even a small one.

He walked out together with Devi right after giving a small nod to Jade. “What is it? You still haven’t said anything.”

“I umm, that was… Jade, he’s incredible,” Devi said.

“Obviously,” said Brady. “I only make incredible friends.”

“You have such an easy way with words,” Devi chuckled. “But you don’t get it.”

“Then tell me,” replied Brady.

“It’s always been hard for me. I could never walk out in the streets alone in peace, because of how I look, as if I have a sign written on me saying, ‘everyone’s property. Do as you wish.’ Some say all I need to be a girl is a skirt, they said it was a compliment, because I was beautiful. But why can’t a guy just be beautiful right? Without being compared to a girl. They said it was a compliment, because I was beautiful. They forget I’m not stupid. I know it’s the skirts they want under. I won’t even get started on the racist compliments.” Devante bit his lip subconsciously.

Meanwhile Brady was starting to look angry, but he let Devi continue.

“The only person who’s done this for me before was Alex. It was the night we first met, at his club. A guy grabbed me and I was powerless to stop him, save for my constant protests and next thing I know, his grip loosens and I’m free. But there’s blood on his face. And security pulling him out. I heard an angry, sexy voice shout, ‘Never let him in again!’ A literal knight in shining armor! Even with his slightly bloodied white shirt.”

“With bloody knuckles and such a boyish grin, he said to me, ‘hi! I’m Alex, you don’t have to worry anymore.’ Call it whatever you want but that was the night I fell in love. It was… He was… ahhh,” Devi looked like he was in dreamland and Brady’s gaze finally softened.

“He sure sounds like a delight. I hated him so much at the wedding,” Brady said without thinking.

“What wedding?” Devi asked.

“Another time, ahh look! There’s Jade.”

“Umm, Jade?” Devi began when Jade had got in. “I just… thank you— for what you—”

“It’s nothing, don’t sweat it,” Jade said and Devi nodded.

“Oh and Brady, I believe you know what to do,” said Jade.

Devi smirked and gave him the eyes that said everything lewd.

“Shut up Devi,” he said.

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Still, just shut up.”

                               ____________

Brady unlocked Leo’s apartment and got in, his unsure feet finding the bathroom and shaky fingers taking off his clothes and replacing them with what he had bought. What am I doing what am I doing what am I doing? He asked over and over in his head.

He hid everything well and walked out into the room, where he placed himself softly onto the bed so that he was lying on his stomach and his backside was exposed. To say he was nervous was an understatement. His heart hammered inside his chest while he did all he could do. He waited.

Brady heard a door open and he knew that Leo was home. His heart could not beat any faster. It took a while before the knob finally, finally turned and the door to the room was open.

After one step into the room, everything went still and Brady couldn’t understand what was going on. He was so tempted to look behind him but he didn’t, couldn’t.

It felt like forever before he heard it, the loud sound of something falling to the floor, and shattering.

The emperor’s new clothes is a story I read as a kid, about this emperor who is tricked into wearing nothing and parading naked in public, believing that his new clothes were just invisible and too beautiful to be seen by ordinary eyes. (That’s what Brady was referring to)

So hiii! And thank you for reading this chapter! You’re beautiful!

❤️

24. Burglar

Brady was probably trembling in that moment. He heard the sound of cloth being handled in a jittery fashion. It sounded like a tie being yanked off and the next second, a hand was on the heel of his foot and that was were all of his focus zeroed.

Even when the hand crept up further, Brady still didn’t turn. He stayed still right where he was. Apparently this was all part of the plan, to act unresponsive until he couldn’t anymore.

Brady had lain down on the bed with nothing but a thong. So thin it covered almost nothing according to the way Brady thought. Also, it was pink.

Leo hooked his finger under the thin band of the thong and inhaled deeply. Then pulled further and let go, letting the band sting as it hit Brady.

Brady broke the silence in the room. “Ahh!” he groaned in a mixture of pain and pleasure.

Leo then grabbed his ass, squeezed and inhaled that too. He kissed each cheek and carried on over to Brady’s back, spanking his ass hard and leaving his hand right where the hit had landed. Brady felt electric sparks on his back and spine and everywhere Leo’s lips and breath touched.

Leo hadn’t spoken yet, but Brady understood everything he had to say. He wanted him so bad he couldn’t ruin it with words. Leo held the back of his neck and squeezed. And in no way was he gentle.

Brady leaked and yearned but his moans stopped when Leo rested his whole weight on him, pinning him down. He had not yet undressed but Brady felt that length rub against him, and it was the hardest thing he knew of. He wanted it so badly.

Leo swiped his tongue against the side of Brady’s face as his hand now moved up front, and he began to choke Brady, his watch bruising the base of Brady’s neck as the other struggled to breathe.

He licked some more as his hand began to massage Brady’s ass pulling the thong back and forth to tease his hole. Just when Brady thought he couldn’t take it anymore, Leo stopped and turned him around. Finally looking him in the face.

Brady was still trying to breathe normally but Leo made it hard with his unwavering gaze. He then started running a hand up and down the side of Brady’s face and slowly shaking his head. Like he couldn’t quite believe his eyes. Almost like he was seeing him for the first time.

In that moment as they looked into each other’s eyes, the room, and everything in it disappeared and the world only existed in the places their gazes met, between them.

“Leo…” Brady began, he wanted to say so many things. He wanted to ask Leo to stop looking at him like that, and tell him it was too intense. But his mouth was covered in what was probably the softest kiss he’d ever had. So soft he wouldn’t have believed it possible. So soft a tear escaped his eye. It spoke of the one word he was trying hardest to avoid.

Leo then pulled away slowly for air, noses touching but eyes closed and Brady thought he couldn’t look more beautiful.

Leo finally opened his eyes, and Brady smiled, wiping away the tear. Maybe that did the trick because the next kiss was a tidal wave. It was delicious fire that burned from his lips to his toes. Leo kissed like he wanted to take his lips away for himself. He demanded everything from Brady’s mouth and the latter was more than eager to give it.

Brady fiddled with the buttons of his shirt but before he could do much, Leo ripped it off, sending at least three buttons flying. Next were the pants and underwear he got rid of in time short enough to count to ten.

As much as Brady wanted to, Leo didn’t really give him a chance to suck him off. He just held Brady as he continued to kiss all the way down his body, even while he fondled his balls, he kissed his length too. Brady’s inner thigh, calves and even his feet.

Then he reached for the drawer, and pulled out the condoms and lube. Pouring some onto his hand, Leo inserted two fingers at once into Brady. Then worked them until his muscles loosened around his fingers. Brady found himself biting the pillow throughout the entire act and he still wanted more. The other man  smacked his ass before removing his fingers and his cock twitched.

“Leo, I want you inside… please–ahh!” Brady said at the same time Leo gave his dick a few tugs. He was being so cruel and hell if that didn’t turn Brady on further.

The first condom Leo tried to open accidentally ripped because of how much force he was using. Brady was so turned on by the fact that Leo could barely control himself, all because of him. It was like Leo didn’t even notice, he just grabbed another one and ripped it open so fast like the world would end if he didn’t get it in the next minute.

With Brady’s thong mid thigh, Leo entered him in one swift motion from behind, both of them grunting. Leo from the sensation, Brady from the impact. Leo’s strokes started out long and fast then slowed down to make it last longer, or just to grasp any kind of sanity from the act.

The room was so hot Brady couldn’t figure out where all the heat was coming from. He just loved the way Leo filled him, how he felt inside him and when he started moving, it was all he could do not to faint. Leo fucked him like he was born to do it.

Spreading his cheeks wider and moving faster. Five seconds or three, Brady was going to blow. He really was, but Leo stopped suddenly and just the same, he was turned on his backside so that they were now facing each other. Leo lifted Brady’s legs and opened them wide, damaging the thong in the process. He was like a completely different person, ignoring the thin strip of cloth that was now only on one side of Brady’s legs.

Brady’s hole was now exposed and Leo was staring at it like it held all the secrets of the universe. Faster than Brady could blink, Leo’s tongue was already there, Brady’s back arched at an angle he was sure it had never arched before. He meant to move away but his body moved on its own and he instead found his legs wrapped around Leo’s neck.

Brady was positive his entire body was vibrating. Once again it was Leo who brought to him a feeling he’d never felt before. He wanted to burst, to melt, to combust. Whichever came quickest. And whichever did the most damage.

Leo then entered him, eyes never leaving his as he teased, going in then out completely then only the tip.

“Leo please…” Brady begged. “Leo…”

Leo leaned in and kissed him, entering him at the same time. He moved as he continued to kiss him. The intensity causing goosebumps to break out all over Brady’s skin. He got louder as Leo got faster, moaning, grunting, breathing and almost screaming.

Leo squeezed the buds of his nipples but never slowed his pace, Brady found the steadiness in himself to reach out and touch his face even when his body was rocking like a boat in bad weather. Leo put two fingers in Brady’s mouth and the other sucked on them, he sucked like his life depended on it, so much that by the time Leo removed them, they dripped with his saliva.

What Leo did next, baffled Brady. He forced them halfway in where his cock was already taking charge. Brady screamed the fuck out of his lungs. Leo didn’t stop fucking him. almost like he wanted to hear Brady scream, and when the screams got softer, he removed the rest of the thong crumbled it up and placed the little pink cloth into Brady’s mouth, it was hot as fuck. Brady’s cock was pouring so much precome and the wanton Leo swiped some of it up sucked, the way he closed his eyes as he did it made Brady’s chest squeeze. As if he’d discovered the most beautiful taste on earth and no one could take it from him. Leo slid his fingers out and Brady might have finally understood why he’d done it with the way his cock now felt like it moved more freely.

“Ahhh!” Brady tried to say through the thong, which came out muffled. Leo rammed into him mercilessly, hitting his prostate the first time. Brady cried out again and again in the next few times. Never had he ever been fucked so hard in his life. He could have even sworn he saw stars. The whole bed rocked around their sweaty bodies.

Leo stroked Brady’s cock and he couldn’t take it anymore.

“Come here Leo, here!” Brady seemed to say and was shocked by the desperation of his actions. Reaching out towards Leo, unsure as he was.

But Leo understood and leaned in nevertheless, pulled the pink material out with his teeth, and replaced it with his own tongue. That was all he needed, Brady exploded. All over Leo’s hand he came like he’d never come before, if Leo wasn’t kissing him, he’d have screamed and probably cried too. When the most intense part had subsided, he found Leo looking at him like he was mapping out every single detail of his face. The moment turned ferocious when he realized Leo was coming too, hands never stopping their stroking as he fucked faster, he was so far gone in what was probably the peak of the moment, biting Brady’s lip as he cussed and groaned, savoring all his aftershocks.

He then collapsed on top of Brady after his orgasm, cock still inside him. Leo tried so hard to catch his breath, his cock softening inside the other man. When his breathing finally resembled that of a human being, he looked down at Brady’s face and there was that look again. This time though, Brady looked away.

Leo rolled onto his side, his cock pulling out of Brady who wanted to protest but couldn’t find the strength to. Leo pulled him close and held him, hands unsteady still but Brady didn’t question it, he was probably worse. They couldn’t get any closer. Brady didn’t know whether Leo was already asleep but he felt himself drifting away as he tried to figure it out.

                          ______________

Leo was in no way asleep, he was just trying to locate the human in him that had been replaced by this animal inside. He was awake, even long after he’d started hearing Brady’s soft snores. He loved the sound, he found it relaxing. The only indication that everything was real was the fact that the body he was holding so close was real, warm and soft against his skin.

Whatever Brady had been thinking to wear that next to invisible thong, had made him lose his mind. He only saw red and the only thing he could see in the haze was Brady lying down so seductively, his for the taking. And take, he did.

Even as he held Brady, he got hard again just thinking about it. Leo didn’t support his body’s decisions as he started to kiss Brady and lick everywhere his eyes landed. Brady moved and moaned a little but he continued to sleep. Leo began to nip Brady’s soft nipples and felt them harden against his tongue as his hand went down to close around Brady’s cock. This was no good, he wasn’t going to stop, no matter what his brain tried to tell his dick.

Brady moaned again, and when his eyes opened and found Leo’s in the darkness, the animal was back.

                    ___________________

Brady opened his eyes to find himself alone, again. He hadn’t thought about how tired his body was till he got off the bed. He felt like he was using twice the energy it needed to do everything.

He walked to the bathroom and it felt like forever before he got there. Staring at himself in the mirror, Brady took a really good look at himself. Flushed face, disheveled hair, bruised lips and hickies that made pink and reddish spots all over his body. He touched his cheek and stared at his reflection. Never had anybody made it so clear they wanted him so much. Never had his body been worshipped like it was a holy place. His reflection looked happy. He looked… well loved.

                           _______________

Brady took a shower and found the strength to then change the sheets and finally went out to find Leo. He still didn’t know what Leo had dropped and shattered the night before, he came up with the conclusion that Leo had cleaned it up while he slept.

“For a smart person, you’re really such an idiot,” he heard Leo say.

When he didn’t hear a response he figured he was on the phone.

He stood and just watched Leo. There was something about watching him without his knowledge. It was like he could see a part of him because he was off guard and alone.

“So just ask him!’ he said and Brady found it sexy the way his hands rested at the back of the couch as he spoke.

“I swear to God Alex you act all mighty and cocky as fuck but the second his name is mentioned you stop functioning.” “Why is it so hard and what could go wrong now? What do you have to lose?”

Brady was intrigued now because Leo was clearly speaking to Alex and the way he was speaking was interesting. It couldn’t be…

He decided to make his presence known. Brady cleared his throat and Leo looked back and quickly spoke into the phone. “Talk to you later you shit,” he said and hung up.

Looking back at Brady’s eyes that held so much he said, “Come here.”

As he held his hand out to him, Brady like a happy toddler walked over and put his hand in his and in no time he was seated on Leo’s lap, currently one of his favorite places to be.

“Did you get any sleep?” Brady asked because of the dark circles under Leo’s eyes although this particular morning, they didn’t look as bad.

“Never mind that,” Leo said. “You look good, like you’re mine.”

Brady’s heart fluttered. Leo kissed him and he kissed back, despite the doubt at the back of his mind.

“I worry about you Leo, when will you finally let her go? I’m here now aren’t I?” asked Brady.

“Yeah but for how long?” Leo asked then quickly shook his head. “Pay that no mind. Let’s not talk about that now.”

Brady leaned so his head rested against his chest, his fingers traced Leo’s collarbone through the shirt as he nodded. Such a simple gesture, clearing up all the tension in the air.

“You snore, did you know that?” Leo asked.

“Sometimes,” Brady giggled. “Sorry.”

“I wasn’t complaining. Last night was… what were you thinking Brady? Fuck! And pink? You really don’t care about my well being do you?” Leo asked as he ran his hands up and down Brady’s back.

“So you didn’t like it?” the one being held like a child asked.

“I can’t even look at you without my body reacting in some way, last night I discovered things about myself I’d never known before. Like is such a tiny word.” After a beat, he added. “I can’t get enough of you. You have to know that by now,” Leo said, then softly kissed his forehead.

The butterflies inside Brady raged.

“Stop it,” said Brady.

Leo laughed. “What? Speaking facts?”

“No, just stop it. Oh and you were on the phone, I know I’m prying but I have to know.” Brady sat up.

“What? That Alex is the biggest moron when it comes to matters of the heart?” Leo asked.

“Is he seeing someone? Is he in love with someone?” Brady asked while crossing his fingers.

“Why are you getting all worked up? Do you like him or something? Because then I’d have to kill him and hide the body.”

“Please, it’s like comparing a flashlight to a spotlight. And that goes for everyone else,” Brady felt Leo stiffen but ignored it. “So I have to know. Who is he in love with?”

“He hides it really well but he really can’t breathe when Devi’s in the room,” Leo said. “And he can’t gather up the balls to ask him out, swear to God he’s such an idiot. So much for all that confidence he throws around.”

“Alex has a thing for Devi,” Brady stated. It sounded like music to his ears.

“It’s more than just a thing, I’m afraid. He gets so nervous he could trip over his own feet. This one time, he actually pretended to be a burglar and actually ran off because Devi had walked in and turned in his direction. Luckily Devi hadn’t seen it happen, he only asked me why I was so calm about a stranger getting away through the window. He’s really helpless,” Leo said.

“But at the club—”

“Because Devi touched me. His jealousy is another thing, it’s the only way he can actually get the courage to get closer to Devi. That’s especially when he feels there’s a ‘threat’,” Leo air quoted. “I swear I hate that guy.”

“So he doesn’t know?” Brady asked.

“Doesn’t know what?” replied Leo.

“That Devi likes him.”

“Devi what?!” The surprise was genuine in Leo’s face.

“Wow, don’t you guys notice anything?” Brady asked. “And why would Alex think you a threat?”

“We umm… we might have fooled around in the past, all of us, multiple times,” Leo tried to look anywhere but Brady.

“You must have liked it huh,” Brady pouted. “Doing it with people who know everything.”

“Answer me,” he said when Leo kept quiet, sounding bossier than he intended.

“I don’t know, it’s like comparing a flashlight to a spotlight, and that goes for everyone else,” Leo said.

This time it was Brady who stiffened.

“Good,” he said as he straddled Leo. “Good.”

“I’m calling an emergency meeting by the way, but first,” Brady caught handfuls of Leo’s shirt and pulled him forward till their faces were inches apart. “Take care of this bossy attitude.”

It’s been a long chapter hasn’t it?

25. We Were Never Here

“You guys are all here!” Brady exclaimed at the small group of people he’d gathered for his idea.

“If it helps, I wasn’t going to come,” said Met, crossing his arms. “And what happened to your lip, are you okay?”

Brady had worn baggy clothes that covered up his entire body but of course he couldn’t hide his face. Luckily Jade aimed a secret smirk his way and jabbed his elbow at Met’s side. “Quit being so nosy. Besides, we told you you could stay if you wanted to.”

“And then you got all pissy and said you’d miss us too much,” Sean said. “You even got in the car first.”

“Yeah well, I can’t have you two running around so casually in these dangerous times,” said Met.

“Uh huh, totally,” Jade rolled his eyes and Sean laughed.

“Now that you know we’re safe, you can head back Met, we’re giving you our permission,” said Sean.

“No. You’re not getting rid of me so easily. Who’ll drive you back?” came Met’s rhetorical question.

“Ignore him Brady. So… what is it, what did you so desperately want to discuss?” asked Jade.

“It’s Alex, and Devi…”

Brady lay down everything he knew, everyone listened and chipped in to ask questions. By the time they were done, Leo had his hands around Brady’s waist while Met’s head rested calmly on Jade’s lap. Sean was the only one crossing his legs and hands. If any of them were surprised at Leo’s display of affection, no one showed it.

“So I was thinking nothing fancy,  and a place where they can actually talk,” said Brady. “You talk to Alex Leo, I’ll talk to Devante, but only tell him he’s going on a date and don’t mention who he’s going with.”

“You got it,” Leo said as he took out his phone.

“I’ll start on the food and drinks I guess, this needs to happen tonight people. We need lights too, blankets and something like a picnic basket or just a low table. Candles would do too,” said Brady.

“I’ll help with the food,” said Met.

“Fine, we’ll go get the lights and million other things you mentioned,” Jade sighed. He walked towards the  door with Sean following behind him.

“Leo could you help us with a little grocery shopping?” Brady asked and let Met start on the food while he pulled out his phone to call Devi. He scribbled a list really quickly and gave it to Leo.

“Thanks hun,” Brady said without thinking and pecked Leo’s lips.

Leo stood unmoving like he was in shock. Only looking at Brady.

“What is it? Get going!” Brady said. Clearly not understanding Leo’s behavior.

“Oh yeah, right,” Leo walked out the door.

“Just a moment,” Brady said to Met and called Devi.

“Heyyy!” Devi said from the other side.

“Devi!” Brady replied. “Cancel your plans for tonight.”

“We’re meeting up? You know they’re already cancelled.”

“Not exactly, you’re meeting someone, on a date. There’s this guy I really want you to meet.”

There was silence on the other side of the phone for a while before Devi spoke.

“Brady, I’ve told you, Alex is it for me. I really can’t look at anyone else, even if I tried.

“I know! But trust me on this one. Just this once. I’ve got a really good feeling about this guy and if it doesn’t work out, you don’t have to ever listen to me again babes.”

“Hmm, that’s not really as simple as it sounds, I mean, you really do talk a lot.”

“So you’ll do it?” Brady laughed.

“Yeah I guess, but just this once,” he heard his friend sigh. “Arggh now what am I going to wear?”

“Trust me, just be yourself, I’ll pick you up later,” Brady hung up the phone.

Getting back to the kitchen, Met had everything so well under control that Brady was actually impressed. “You do this often,” Brady asked.

“Now, yeah. I have to keep my men happy,” said Met.

“I’m sure they’d love you even if you burned their breakfast every morning,” Brady smirked. “I mean, what choice do they have right?”

Met laughed. “Did he agree to do it?” He asked referring to Devi.

“With my skills Met, I mean, I could sweet talk the devil into holding my hand of course he agreed to do it!” Brady might have sashayed if he had long hair.

“Right,” Met laughed. “So you and Leo huh?”

“It’s whatever. It’s not really official or anything,” Brady got vegetables and started dicing them.

“You sound like you want it to be though,” said Met.

“I don’t know if I want that, everything is so confusing right now.”

“Yeah I understand.”

They continued working in comfortable silence for a few minutes, then they went on to talk about pointless things and their daily lives. Leo came back first, then Sean and Jade. It took close to two hours till everything was done. The team had a quick meal and quickly drove to the place Leo suggested was perfect.

First they lay a huge blanket then placed the table at the center of it. It was a low and small table, but big enough to hold all the food they’d prepared, and a few candles.

Met paused while placing them, “Hey Sean, maybe we could–”

“Don’t even think about it,” Jade cut him off.

Sean winked at Met secretly and continued to focus on the tasks at hand. Brady had left to pick Devi up as the rest finished the set up. And by the time they had arrived, everything was perfect.

“Are you sure about this?” Devi asked as Brady led him to the table.

“Trust me, just wait here.”

Devi looked nervous from where Brady was now standing, next to Leo, Jade and Met. In a place that was a little secluded so they couldn’t be seen.

Leo had also suggested they lay the blanket right next to a big tree, where they could easily switch the lights on from. Met caught Sean signaling from behind the tree for him to join him, and since Sean was in charge of the lights and they weren’t on yet, he figured there was a problem. Crouching low, he ran over to Sean and made sure Devi didn’t see them.

There was no way around it, Alex just appeared out of no where.

“What’s going on Leo? Who am I supposed—” Alex stopped dead in his tracks and everyone followed his gaze to where Devi sat, waiting.

“Jesus Christ he looks so beautiful!” Alex said even as he took a step back in retreat.

“Where do you think you are going?” Leo caught his wrist to stop him.

“You set me up,” Alex was clutching at straws.

“I swear to God Alex get your ass over there or I’ll do it for you!” Leo sounded like his patience was running thin.

“Okay okay,” Alex took a deep breath and smoothed his hair while pacing. “But what do I say? How do I act?”

“You don’t act, now stop freaking out and go be yourself,” Leo said.

Alex took three steps in Devi’s direction then turned back. “What if he hates me?” he asked.

“For fuck’s sake Alex!” Leo looked one step away from slapping sense into the man.

“Okay okay,” Alex took more deep breaths then finally walked to wear Devi sat.

“Wow,” both Brady and Jade said.

“Yes, it’s that bad,” Leo replied.

“Shit the lights!” Jade looked to the direction of his husbands. “I’ll go see what those idiots are up to.”

Brady nodded then watched Devi stiffen as an Alex who looked sick came into view. It created the perfect cover for Jade to slither away. Devi looked like he couldn’t quite believe his eyes. Alex sat down across from him and just stared. This went on for a long time. Long enough for someone to think something was wrong.

“Umm, Leo?” Brady called. “We have a problem. We have the batteries. So now would be a good time to get them there.”

Leo looked at where the batteries rested in Brady’s hand. “Shit we’d better go then, while they’re still distracted.”

They were now five people trying to hide behind a single tree and make a few lights work. While a few feet next to them, the people they were trying to hide from.

“Why aren’t they saying anything?” Brady whispered. “Quick, maybe the lights will help.”

“I love you,” they all paused everything when they heard Alex.

“Oh shit, way to be subtle,” Sean whispered.

“That’s my boy right there,” Leo whispered back proudly.

“Sorry it took me so long to finally tell you but I’ve been a coward and you’re way out of my league and I know I’m coming on strong right now but I’m sorry I don’t know any other way to say this, I love you Devi. You’re perfect to me, and you deserve the world. I just really needed to say that,” Alex finished.

“Okay just go ahead and propose,” whispered Jade.

“I—I…” Devi stuttered.

“I understand if you don’t have feelings for me, of course it’d hurt like a bitch but like I said, I don’t think I’m good enough for—”

“Are you kidding me?” Devi replied. “I didn’t even think you noticed me in that way. God knows I’ve done everything to get your attention but you never notice me. You’re the love of my life Alex, it’s you or no one else. I’m a little too crazy about you. Not good enough for me? Shut your ass up!”

“So you…” said Alex.

“Yes, I’m in love with you,” Devi assured him.

“I don’t believe it,” Alex sounded hysterical, but in a good way.

“I hope this is convincing enough,” Devi’s voice died away and soon they heard kissing sounds.

“The switch Met!” Jade whispered. “And team Devi wins, you guys owe me and Brady money.”

Met pressed a button and the grass around the blanket began to glow. They all tried to peek to see the magical moment the other two shared.

“Awww!” Brady whispered. “Look at them go! It’s like watching a movie.”

“I see you guys!” Devi said. “But we can take it from here.”

All five looked pretty embarrassed as they came out from the tree and said awkward goodbyes. Jade winked at Devi and pretended to be sucking an invisible dick, while Brady was a whole other thing.

“What you are witnessing is all an illusion,” Brady moved his hands like a shaman or a rain dancer would. “We were never here!”

“Sorry about this,” Leo said as he hoisted Brady up and walked away.

“I want ice cream,” Brady said when they neared the car and had said their goodbyes to Met’s family.

“Now? It’s late, I’ll get you ice cream tomorrow.”

“But I want it now,” Brady pouted as they got into the car. “Don’t ruin the moment.”

“Brady, if we get ice cream now, we’ll get home when it’s well past midnight.”

Brady didn’t respond immediately which made Leo think the discussion was over.

“It’s amazing, what you did today,” Leo tried for a change of topic.

“You know,” Brady continued like he hadn’t heard Leo. “That thong isn’t the only thing I bought from that store.”

A little long while after midnight, they were back home, Brady had his ice cream. And he was still trying to feed some to Leo.

“Come on, try it. I saved the best part for you,” Brady persisted.

“There’s no best part in ice cream,” replied Leo.

Brady gasped like Leo had shoved him. “You wound me.”

Leo put the ice cream in his mouth and took the rest into the freezer. “Now can we go to bed?”

“We’ve never really–”

“I know, but I want to. With you,” said Leo.

Brady nodded and they got in bed together, drawing up close until his head was on Leo’s shoulder.

“I’m so proud of you,” Leo said after a while.

Brady’s heart melted. Such words weren’t supposed to throw him so off balance, but there he was, tumbling down with only Leo to break his fall. He linked their fingers together, and kissed the back of Leo’s hand.

“Stop catching me off guard all the time, it’s unnerving,” said Brady.

“It’s cute when you get unnerved,” Leo said.

“There you go again! Okay let’s sleep.”

“Okay good night hun,” said Leo.

“Arrghh!” Brady was lucky Leo couldn’t see him, because his smile went from one ear to the other. The last thing he heard was Leo’s soft chuckle before sleep evaded his senses.

                          _______________

Somewhere in the night Leo startled awake. His breathing came back to normal after a few deep breaths. He kissed Brady’s cheek and walked out to stare into the night. He always felt her tiny figure hug him from behind and this time was no different. He tried to shake off the thought but this time she spoke.

“Can’t sleep?” he heard her say. Except it wasn’t her, it was Brady and he was real. He got butterflies just feeling his warmth on his bare torso as Brady hugged him from behind.

“Come back to bed with me,” In any other occasion, Brady’s sleepy voice would have stroked his cock but now he tried to look for all the excuses. He came up with nothing.

“I can’t. I won’t be able to,” Leo failed terribly to hide how dejected he felt.

“I’ll hold you till you sleep, I also happen to know a really boring story,” said Brady.

How did he manage to always be so cheerful? Leo wondered. He shook his head and turned to Brady, still locked in his embrace.

“I don’t want to get used to it,” he whispered.

“Then only for tonight,” Brady said as one hand went to rest on Leo’s cheek. He nodded and Brady led him inside.

With a heavy heart, Leo climbed onto the bed and placed himself where Brady had indicated. He placed himself between Brady’s legs with his back to his chest, the other man’s own back against the headboard.

Leo felt fingers softly running through his hair, massaging his scalp and he began to relax.

“Good?” asked Brady.

“Mhmm,” he replied.

“I could sing you lullabies but my voice would probably keep you awake, it’s that bad,” Brady laughed.

“Oh I know,” replied Leo, remembering how he’d screamed his lungs out with Bree trying to sing Barbie. He felt secure in Brady’s arms as he turned to his side, as he tangled their legs together.

“But here’s my story, once upon a time, there was a sad unicorn,” said Brady.

“How is this supposed to be a boring story?” Leo didn’t understand why he was already feeling drowsy. He yawned. Brady’s fingers felt like magic in his hair.

“Did you know that yawning is contagious?” No sooner had he said it than he yawned too.

“Oh really?” Leo asked while he yawned.

“Stop it!” Brady pleaded. Covering his ears and closing his eyes so he wouldn’t know if Leo yawned again, they finally broke the chain reaction in fits of laughter.

“As I was saying!” Brady paused for Leo to settle once more. “The unicorn was sad because he couldn’t cross the river and meet with his other friends. He was smaller than they were and quite sickly and weak. But he was the sweetest and so he was loved, and one of the bigger unicorns crossed back for him. ‘We’ll figure something out’ she told him then noticed a few rocks by the river side. She showed him what to do and soon they began to throw in the rocks to make it shallower. One rock, two rocks, three rocks, four!”

“I thought I was supposed to sleep,” Leo complained because of Brady’s horrible singsong voice. But despite himself, he sounded sleepier than he’d ever been.

“Shut up. Here comes the magic,” replied Brady hurriedly. “Five rocks, six rocks, seven rocks, eight! Nine rocks, ten rocks…”

Leo heard Brady keep counting, he should have realized the story was a trick but the voice was now so far away and he sank further into Brady’s embrace and hugged him tighter.

For the first time in a really long time, in the arms of the person who brought him more happiness than he probably deserved, Leo fell into a deep sleep.

                        ________________

Brady woke up to the sound of steady breathing against his neck and he figured this time he wasn’t alone. Somewhere in the night they’d moved around until Leo was now holding him and not the other way round.

Brady untangled himself from Leo carefully so as not to wake him. Only when he looked back did he realize he’d never seen Leo sleep before. And what a sight it was! He looked utterly peaceful, comfortable and so innocent it warmed Brady’s heart. Not to mention the fact that he was more than handsome doing absolutely nothing.

Brady washed up and went to get breakfast started. He had barely even started when he heard the doorbell ring. He decided to take his time walking to the door thinking who it could be.

He didn’t expect what he saw, she stood many inches shorter than him and looked up as her curious eyes widened. Her close to perfect face was shaped by a cascade of wavy red hair.

“You’re not Leo,” she said.

“Brady,” he smiled. “And you?”

What she said next had his smile vanishing faster than it had come. It twisted his insides when he heard it.

“I’m Lisa,” she said.

Yikes, bet you didn’t see that coming huh?

26. Karma

Leo opened his eyes to so much light, it wasn’t something he was used to as he always woke up on the dead of night. He shielded his eyes to give them time to adjust instead of just squinting.

He had to admit, it felt good to wake up after his body was well rested. He only frowned because Brady wasn’t next to him, but he figured he hadn’t gone far, with the muffled noises outside the door.

Freshening up took him less than five minutes because he was really desperate to see his boy. The closer he got, the better he understood that something was wrong. Brady was using a voice Leo knew so well, to anyone else he might have sounded normal but Leo knew him well enough to recognize the undertones of anger lying beneath every muffled word.

He immediately went on the offensive, ready to get rid of whatever was ruffling Brady’s feathers so much.

What he didn’t expect was for it to make his blood run so cold when he saw her. He couldn’t move, just stopped where he was as their eyes finally locked. And the memories came flooding back, a whole swamp of them. Years of happiness and laughter and all the times they’d shared. How she’d always pick him up when he was down, she was always there for him through and through.

This couldn’t be her in the flesh, maybe now that he had finally slept, his brain was conjuring up hallucinations.

“Lisa,” he said, sounding as broken as he felt.

She stopped talking to Brady and looked his way. Her beauty never waned, he realized as she silently regarded him.

“I’ll leave you guys to talk,” Brady broke the silence.

Leo Linked two fingers with Brady as he passed him by. It lasted only about a second and it might have lasted longer, if Leo wasn’t so distracted. Brady nodded and gave him a small smile that didn’t reach his eyes, before walking away.

“Leo! How are you?” her eyes brought back all the care he was so used to receiving in the past. He closed his eyes almost as if he could feel it, her small hands soothing his back as they lay talking on lazy afternoons.

Lisa’s excited tone changed when the look on Leo’s face didn’t falter or soften. “I’m really really sorry. I must have put you through a lot.”

Yeah no kidding. “Why are you here? Why now? I thought you were happy somewhere,” he said.

“Karma, mostly. I now realize what I did to you was really unfair. I shouldn’t have broken up with you like that.”

“Why are you telling me this now?”

“Because I want you to know the truth,” Lisa paced further. “I haven’t been totally honest with you, before I left you, I was already seeing someone else.

“You cheated on me?”

“I hate to admit that I did. He made me feel things I’ve never felt before.”

Leo winced at the bruise to his ego.

“But it’s not until I broke things off with you that I realized I couldn’t let you go either. He told me he lost feelings for me and just left, with no explanation whatsoever and I finally got to know how much it hurt. Knowing I did that to you,” Lisa shook her head. “I’m so sorry Leo.”

Leo’s entire body stiffened when Lisa’s pulled him into a hug, his every instinct was to pull away but somehow he was frozen. So rooted to the ground he didn’t even breathe. Instinctively, he reciprocated the gesture.

“Enough Lisa,” he said calmly, even as he let her be.

He did miss it, but all he could think of in that moment was Brady. It dawned on him that he felt nothing even as she hugged him, she didn’t fit his body like he did, didn’t feel like him. Didn’t smell like him, didn’t make his heart race like Brady did with just a touch.

In that moment it dawned on him, he was in love. So much that his heart wanted to burst open. And it wasn’t Lisa who made him feel that way. Compared to what he had felt for her, what he felt for Brady now was almost more than he could handle. It made her dim so much in comparison he acknowledged that he was free, from all the strings that attached him to her, from all the thoughts that weighed on him, questioning himself over and over what he’d done wrong and not being able to sleep because of her.

Finally, he pulled away from her.

“Tell me there’s still a chance we can work this out, maybe we could–”

“There’s no way we can get back together. I loved you, I really did. But I don’t anymore. It’s taken me quite some time but now I get it. I guess needed to see you to get over you. It really hasn’t been the walk in the park Lisa. So in some way, thank you for coming here, but I’ve moved on, it just took me a while to realize it.”

“But Leo, you do know that what we had was real right?” her eyes were close to begging.

“Not real enough for you to have stayed when I needed you. You should go,” said Leo.

She looked defeated, so much regret in her face that it softened something inside Leo.

“I still think you’re an amazing person but Lisa, but I don’t love you anymore either,” Leo actually smiled. He wasn’t trying to revenge, it just came out the way it did. She rubbed a hand against her collarbone, it always happened when she had a lot to say but couldn’t say it.

“Is it him? The guy who seemed to hate me at the door?” asked Lisa.

“He’s perfect isn’t he?” Leo sounded so proud.

“I guess I owe it to you, to be happy for you,” said Lisa. She didn’t smile, but Leo knew she meant it.

“I hope you find happiness too, I’ll never stop caring about you Lisa,” said Leo.

“I know that Leo, you were always too good to be true,” she replied. “I guess I’ll leave you be, maybe we were never meant to be but don’t you dare think you can’t come to me for help ever okay? I still want you in my life, in any way I can have you.”

Lisa opened her hands wide, “One last hug? For old time’s sake?”

They hugged, and it was a long one, letting go of their pasts and all the memories they shared. Making peace with their realities. To part ways on the best of terms.

“I’ll miss you, goodbye Leonard,” she said, smiling.

Leo laughed at the joke they shared. How she’d call him Leonard from the Big Bang theory just because he wore glasses, he was extremely smart too. He’d really miss her, but in a good way. He could finally say that in confidence.

After she left, Leo needed to find Brady as quick as his legs could carry him. Brady needed to know. He had to tell him. He moved every inch of the apartment in less than five minutes but there was no sign of Brady. He panicked and his spirits began to dampen after he’d checked at least three more times. That was when his eyes landed on the piece of paper on the kitchen counter.

‘it’s okay, our time was up anyway’ it read, in Brady’s carefree handwriting.

Leo was sure if he wasn’t supporting himself, his legs would’ve buckled. No…no…no, was all he could think. He felt like he was drowning. How did he not notice him leave? Leo stood looking at the piece of paper for what came close to half an hour. Then he crumbled it up and flung it across the room with all the force he could muster.

It felt like it was happening all over again, he must have killed someone in his past life for this sort of lifestyle, it was the loneliest moment of his life, and he was sinking in a sea of feelings. Even the room was spinning, but somehow, he got to his room.

Leo sat at the floor next to his bed the entire day, he didn’t change, didn’t eat, didn’t shower. He just kept staring into empty space with nothing but big pretty brown eyes in his head. In a world where Brady didn’t want him, he didn’t want to imagine it. His heart was slowly breaking into a million little pieces and each piece hurt more than the last.

Our time was up anyway… It was all his fault, he’d started it and now this was what he had to go through. Just when he’d realized his true feelings. Maybe he just wasn’t meant to be happy.

He couldn’t call Brady. It happened once, it would happen again. He didn’t want to hear it, the rejection. It would be too much. How did someone lose it all in a matter of minutes like he had?

It took him a while to notice that his phone was ringing, it was already getting dark outside and he couldn’t understand how the day had flown so fast. Four missed calls. Leo’s heart was on hyperdrive. It was Brady.

“Umm, Leo?” He asked so innocently. A tear threatened to escape Leo’s eye.

“Hm?” he replied. Saying more might have given away how pathetic he felt.

“You probably don’t want to hear this, but I have to tell you,” said Brady.

Leo didn’t want to hear it. He couldn’t, not right now, not tomorrow, not ever. The thought of Brady rejecting him, then eventually seeing someone else, sickened him and he wanted to puke. The world where Brady wasn’t his could not exist. Should not exist. He wasn’t going to go through the past again.

“Don’t,” Leo drew in a deep breath and exhaled. “Don’t say it. Please, just don’t say it.”

“Leo are you okay?” Brady’s genuine concern hurt him further. He hung up the phone, it was too much.

“I love you so much,” he whispered and only the walls were kind enough to lend him their ears.

Leo ran his hands through his hair in frustration for a really long time before he dialed another number and put the phone to his ear.

“It’s not like you to call Leo, is everything alright?” Met asked in his usual deep voice, tinged with worry at the edges.

“I’m calling about the vacation you offered, if it’s still on the table.”

I hope you guys remember when Met tried to get Leo to take some time off in chapter 11.

27. Day Or Night

Three weeks later…

Devi regarded the body he considered perfect, move restlessly and totally unfocused. The look on his face was far away and disturbed. They’d just got out of bed and he stood shirtless, looking out the window.

“Maybe he had his reasons,” Devi said.

“Still, not to tell me. I don’t get it. This is Leo we’re talking about. What could be so bad that he couldn’t even tell me. Couldn’t even hint?” Alex’s worry was the only thing that clouded his anger.

“I know, but let’s give it time,” Devi went to stand next to him. Tracing fingers across Alex’s chest. He didn’t really understand his ability to take his man’s mind off everything else and focus only on him. Even just with his fingers.

“I’ll never get over how beautiful you are. Shit,” Alex drew Devi in and the light from the window made his brown skin look heavenly. “It gives me goosebumps every time.”

“Then just focus on that,” Devi smiled.

                    ______________

Jade was close to snapping.

Every single time he looked at Brady, his insides twisted. The smile had left his eyes and as if that wasn’t enough, they looked sunken, almost like he was suffering from some kind of disease. He looked almost ten years older. And what bugged him more than anything else was how little Brady ate. Brady! The same guy who could gobble up two boxes of pizza while Jade wasn’t done with half of one. The one who savored the taste of everything he ate as if everything was a delicacy.

Just the other day, Jade had seen a few ribs poking out after he’d helped Brady out of his clothes to take a shower. It hurt really bad to see it.

In the first week after Leo’s disappearance, Brady seemed completely normal, just unusually quiet but everything seemed fine. It wasn’t until he stopped calling Jade, avoided every topic about Leo and got his ice cream order wrong that Jade saw the red flags.

What frustrated him more than anything else was that he had absolutely no way to help his best friend. All he could do was sit next to Brady and be there for him. Which pissed the fuck out of him.

He came to see Brady again, as always. He’d be there as long as he needed him. Jade was truly grateful for Devi, together, they were always there for Brady and his sweetness was everything their depressed friend needed at the moment.

“Here’s your ice cream Brady, it’s mint, your favorite. I even put extra sprinkles,” said Jade.

Brady kept on looking ahead as Jade talked and even after. A beat too long after, he looked his way, then slowly turned to Devi, as if realizing for the first time that they were there.

“Oh hey Jade, hey Devi!” he should have sounded excited, like he usually did. But all they heard was his wobbly voice.

Devi went ahead to sit down then hug him from behind and rest his chin on his shoulder.

“How’s my Brady doing?” He asked, trying for a cheerful voice.

Brady was silent as he looked ahead, but Devi didn’t let him go, if anything, he held him tighter.

“I miss him, but he doesn’t even want to see me,” Brady sounded like he was on the verge of tears. “He didn’t even want me to tell him how I felt!”

“It’s okay, it’s okay. It’ll all work out, you’ll see,” Devi soothed.

This time Jade didn’t stick around to listen, he stormed out, which was how he found himself yelling at Met.

“I know he’s your friend but he’s mine too and I really care about him. But it’s not my place to interfere, it’s not our place,” said Met.

“So what am I supposed to do then? Watch him waste away? You know I won’t do that, you know that right?” replied Jade.

“I know how you feel Jade, and you know I’d fucking lay down my life for you but this isn’t our battle to fight. Why can’t you see that we have to let it play out?”

“Because I can’t afford that luxury, Brady looks sick and his mental health isn’t nearly where it should be, how can you sit by and let that happen?”

“You don’t know the Leo I know. You don’t see the fatigue in his face everyday even when he lies through it. You don’t see the dark circles. You don’t see him zoning out multiple times, and still delivering his work flawlessly. He carries so much pain inside it shows in his eyes, he’s my friend too, and I gave him my word.”

“I’d turn this fucking world upside down if someone tried to keep me away from you and Sean, but I’m not sure I can say the same for you,” said Jade.

“Don’t fucking go there!” Met took a step forward.

“Or what Met?”

“That’s enough! For fuck’s sake I can’t watch you two fight! I can’t stand it. Just cut it out already!” said Sean.

He had come in halfway into their argument but hadn’t said anything because he thought they might have needed to let it all out. But things were starting to get out of hand and he had to interfere.

Jade turned without a word and made sure he slammed the door on his way out.

“He hates me now doesn’t he? I knew it, I knew I’d mess up sooner or later. Should I go after him?” Met asked, already making for the door.

“No,” Sean stopped him. “You stay here, I’ll go.”

Sean pulled Met’s face up to look in his eyes, “Dont overthink it, you didn’t mess anything up, okay?”

Met nodded before his eyes automatically closed at the feeling of Sean’s lips on his. And then they were gone and he wanted to pull him back.

Sean caught up to Jade.

“I know what you want to say, I don’t want to hear it,” said Jade without turning.

“Really? You don’t want to hear that you look really hot when your mad?” asked Sean.

“I don’t need your flattery right now Sean.”

“Then tell me what you need.”

“I need, I need…”

When Jade couldn’t find the words, Sean just engulfed him in a hug. Almost like he could read his mind, because it felt like a little weight was being lifted off him.

“I didn’t mean— I stormed out because I know he’s right, I know, but I can’t just do nothing, and see him not moved by anything.”

“You aren’t doing nothing, God we all know that. You spend most of your day by his side, we barely see you because you’re never here anymore. You didn’t even come home one night and you think you’re doing nothing?”

Jade remembered the night he held Brady as he cried himself to sleep. The anger that coursed through his veins that night was unreal. If he’d seen Leo that night he just might have killed him.

“Met isn’t doing nothing either. You’re not around to notice but he calls. Brady answers about one out of five calls but he really does. And if Brady doesn’t answer any of them, he leaves enough texts,” Sean told Brady.

“He calls?” Jade softened and the surprise was evident on his face.

“I even heard him talking about cartoons once,” Sean confessed.

Jade despite everything, found himself oddly touched. “Why didn’t he say that?”

“Knowing Met, he probably doesn’t realize it. Probably thinks he’s done absolutely nothing,”

“Yeah you’re right I guess,” a smile stole its way to Jade’s face as he thought of Met, and he ridiculed himself inwards for saying such mean things to him.

“You look so beautiful right now,” he heard Sean say.

“I told you it’s not the time for your–”

“Yeah well, sorry but I can’t help myself, you can punish me later,” Sean bent and took Jade’s lips in a kiss that sent color running to his cheeks. Moments later he pulled away and rubbed his lower lip with the pad of his thumb.

“I love you,” the words tumbled out of Jade’s lips and he wasn’t even planning on saying them.

“I love you too. Come on,” Sean held out his hand that Jade took, “Let’s head back before the love of our life commits suicide.”

“He wouldn’t dare,” said Jade.

His eyes locked onto Met’s the second they were back. They walked towards each other until Met secured Jade’s waist in his embrace.

“At least tell him, in some way,” said Jade.

“I already did,” said Met. “It was all I could think of after you left. Well that and you probably hate me.”

“I love you.”

“What you said…”

“I wanted to hurt you and I shouldn’t have, I’m so sorry. I’d never doubt what you feel for us. I’m a horrible person, it still baffles me why you love me so much.”

Brown hands snaked around Jade’s waist. “And it baffles me how you don’t see all that you are,” said Sean.

Jade exposed his neck a bit more when Sean kissed it, “Please…” the latter asked permission as Met got closer.

“Fuck. I see where this is going,” said Jade. “But no. Not now, not yet.”

Despite their groans of complaint, Jade stepped away.

“I need you both to be patient and good while I go to see Brady. Who knows what will happen when all of this blows over,” he shrugged.

“Maybe I’ll let you go all out.”

                           ______________

Inside Brady’s brain, everything was muddled. He tried so hard to function, really really tried but the best he could come up with was a few sentences a day.

He couldn’t remember the simplest things and was always lost in his head. He looked down and noticed the ice cream melting and something in him wanted to spark, but it died down because it wasn’t strong enough.

That’s right, Leo bought me ice cream. He thought as tears began to roll down his cheeks.

Brady couldn’t remember the last time he laughed, it felt like something so alien to him he couldn’t fathom it. What was the point of such a ridiculous thing? Why did people do it? He wondered.

The last time he saw the sun was one week ago, or was it two? Day or night made no difference to him, he didn’t even know which one came after the other or how long they lasted. Even now as his eyes began to shut down.

“Brady!” He heard a voice shout. It was so so familiar but he didn’t care anymore. The voice yelled over and over but he found it easier to let go. He tried to shut his ears from all the noise, but his body was shutting down too.

And then everything went blank.

Thank you for reading and sticking with Brady through this time

28. Cold Eyes

It was supposed to be a vacation, but Leo wasn’t having a good time. The days were grey and so was his heart. Three weeks and each day had hurt like a fresh wound. The only salve was thousands of miles away and he couldn’t do anything about it.

The point of this was to ease the pain he felt. Even if it was just a temporary illusion. Even for just a little while, but it only seemed to get worse.

The ice breaker came with a single phone call, even after he’d told Met not to. He didn’t want to pick up but he needed an excuse.

Right after Leo had hung up on Met, he booked the first flight back home. If even half of what Met had told him was true, he’d never forgive himself. How had it turned to this?

It seemed very unlikely that Brady would need him, at all. Didn’t he not want Leo anymore? Wasn’t that why he had called after leaving a message like that? Leo didn’t think about any of these things at the moment, they didn’t matter. Only Brady and the present did. How fast could he get there?

He was a bundle of nerves through out the entire flight and didn’t sleep a wink. After he landed, he figured it would be easiest to haul a cab to drive him to Brady’s and so he did.

He thanked the heavens for how fast the cab driver went. It wasn’t as fast as he would have liked but he was grateful. He might have opened the door and rushed out even before the car had come to a stop.

“Sir! Sir!” the cab driver called and in the split second Leo decided to turn only because of his tone. He almost thought he’d forgotten to pay him.

“Your luggage sir,” he said. “You might want to slow down.”

“I can’t do that. He needs me,” Leo said to the guy, but couldn’t care less about the luggage even as he took it. And then he was finally there.

Leo discarded his luggage somewhere he couldn’t remember when he got into Brady’s apartment. He’d probably called more than fifty times on his way but no one answered.

“Brady!” He called and no answer came his way.

“Brady!” He called once again. And this time he met Jade’s cold eyes.

“Outside,” he said.

“I need to see him,” Leo insisted.

“He’s asleep, let’s talk outside.” This time, Leo listened. He decided it wouldn’t take long, he’d just bare with it.

“How is he?” He asked as soon as they were out.

“You want to know something? Today was one of the scariest days of my life. I even panicked,” said Jade. “Leo, I don’t panic.”

“What are you—”

“Do you want to know why I panicked?” It was a rhetorical question. “I hate hospitals. Their stench, the design, hopes slowly drowning as you wait helplessly.”

Leo flinched at the guilt that threatened to consume him. “No! You don’t mean…”

“That is exactly what I mean, how did you let it get to this?”

“You don’t understand what happened,” Leo began.

“You’re right, I don’t, but I do understand it started with you and has to end with you. Which is why I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt. I’m going to leave and let you take care of him. Hurt him again and cross my heart Leo I’ll end you myself. You’re only getting off easy because he needs you, I know that. But Brady is not the kind of person you should take for granted.”

“You don’t think I know that?!” Leo asked. “Fuck. I’ve messed up so bad. I need to see him.”

“Nothing can keep you from him at this point. Which is why, I’m counting on you,” Jade somehow managed to make it sound like a threat while he looked him dead in the eye. And then he walked away.

Leo rushed in to find his lifeline, dreading every moment away from him. And when Leo finally saw him, his heart broke all over again.

Brady lay there looking nothing like he’d last seen him. Where his cheeks were round and full, they sagged. His eyes looked dark and a bit sunken. His collarbones looked way more defined than they should have, and he looked so frail.

“I did this,” Leo whispered. “How could I have…”

Leo took Brady’s hand in his and squeezed. “I’m going to take care of you now okay?” He brushed a hand against Brady’s cheek. “Everything is going to be okay.”

Leo didn’t move from Brady’s side till the sun came up, he still didn’t sleep. Like if he wasn’t watching then something might have gone wrong. Brady looked worse than he did the night before because of all the light that came pouring in. Leo questioned himself for the millionth time what he had done.

He let his hand go after brushing kisses on his knuckles.

It was well late into the morning and Brady could wake up any time. He needed food, lots of it. And so he got to preparing it.

Brady slept on until the afternoon, and into the late afternoon. Leo worried on until the afternoon, and into the late afternoon. And well beyond that.

Brady’s first thought as his eyes first cracked open was there was too much light. Reflexively he closed his eyes and attempted to open them more slowly.

He felt tired, but it didn’t matter. He’d just sink back to the bed, or not. He had nothing to do anyway. He should have wondered how he got himself into the bed but his brain was foggy as he tried to remember. Which he gave up in half a second.

His stomach was empty, but as far as he knew, it had always been like that and he didn’t find it in him to care. The movement around him didn’t bother him in the least bit, it was always that way lately.

Brady caught a glimpse of the person shuffling around before closing his eyes to sleep again.

“Brady you’re awake!” the voice said.

It was almost like a fire had been set on all of Brady’s organs. His mind battled as it pinpointed the voice. The voice that made all of Brady’s insides feel alive. He fought between the grays and mists within his mind, against everything that tried to convince him that the voice wasn’t important.

After a long battle of wills, Brady’s eyes finally opened, wider than they had been in a while, they zeroed in on the source of the voice as it came into focus.

I’ll be posting the next few chapters randomly at any time as this book comes to an end. Thank you for being here

🥺❤️

Don’t worry just probably less than five short chapters and we’re done. Yayy

29. Everything

With the most movement he had done in a while, Brady shrunk back further to the corner of the bed, putting as much distance as he could between him and Leo. If anyone didn’t know better they’d think he was freaking out and trying to get away.

“You!” Brady almost screeched. “You! Wh—why?”

“Brady—”

“Leave! Get out! I don’t want to see you! I shouldn’t be seeing you,” his voice died out in a whisper.

Leo shook his head, “I can’t leave. I won’t leave you again.”

“Leo, you have to go…” Brady almost sounded like he was pleading.

Leo did the opposite. He carefully moved towards Brady as he reached out to him.

“Stay away from me,” Brady said and it broke Leo’s heart to hear it.

He slapped Leo across the face as soon as he was in range, questioning where he channeled the energy from.

“Fuck,” said Leo, a hand to his assaulted cheek, clearly not expecting the force with which it came.

He didn’t stop moving towards Brady nevertheless. It hurt too much to stay away, and it hurt too much to see him look at him that way. On his knees he finally got onto the bed, inching closer until their knees touched.

“I thought about you every single day Brady, every single minute,” Leo said.

“Yeah? But you weren’t here though,” hot tears spilled down Brady’s cheeks with no warning.

“I didn’t think you wanted me here. Please don’t cry,” said Leo.

“Look at me!” Brady yelled. “Do I look like I didn’t want you here? Three weeks without you have turned me into this—this shell of a guy, think about months! What about a year? I’d fucking die! I love you goddamn it.”

“You–you love me?”

“I tried to tell you–”

“But I cut you off,” finished Leo, realizing how terribly wrong he had been.

Brady nodded. “It hurt so bad.”

“Look at me,” Leo cupped his face. “I love you too! I honestly thought you didn’t want anything to do with me. I’m so sorry Brady, for hurting you, for everything…”

“My name would not be Brady if I didn’t want you,” he said and somehow, their fingers interlaced.

The kiss was a long time coming. It blew out every fuse within both guys as they got lost in each other. They couldn’t breathe, but they didn’t want to. Honestly, the feeling of their lips against each other was better than breathing. The kiss was fire and they wanted nothing more than to be burned. It felt like the first time and they knew they’d never get over the feeling.

“I don’t deserve you,” Leo shook his head. “I really don’t.”

“I don’t know about that, we deserve each other if you ask me. But never ever, in your wildest dreams leave me again,” said Brady.

“Never. I wouldn’t dream of it. I love you so much, you’re everything to me Brady,”

“I’m really amazing aren’t I?” Brady laughed through his tears. The first time in three weeks, it felt so strange and yet so comforting.

“You don’t even know the half of it,” confirmed Leo.

They both knelt on the bed with their hearts stripped bare and needing the contact between them like a fish needed water. With Brady’s hands around his neck and Leo’s own hands around his waist, they each felt some sense of being absolutely complete.

They were only interrupted by a sound emanating from between them, causing them to look at each other in surprise.

“What was that?” Leo asked.

Brady sounded like he was asking a question when he answered. “I think…I’m hungry.”

30. Cleo

In the days that followed, Brady started to eat healthier and more frequently. Slowly he was restoring his former self and Leo never left his side.

“I’ve never seen him so attached to anyone before,” said Brady. He was referring to Cade’s weird obsession and bond with Leo.

As Leo had promised him, they finally got around to watching the LEGO Batman movie together. So far they’d been glued to their seats and reacted at the same scenes, like they were a match made in heaven.

“Only smart people like us understand these things baby,” Cade had leaned back and said when Brady had asked what was so good about it anyway. Although he caught himself staring at the screen several times too.

Now Cade was all over Leo, like it would kill him if he lost the body contact. A head against Leo’s arm, a hand around his neck, his head on his lap or even his whole body.

Even after the movie was over, Cade didn’t let him be, he spoke consistently about anything and everything.

“I can’t believe I ever called him shy,” said Leo.

“I just can’t believe he’s talking that much, and being so possessive,” replied Brady. Then to the little boy, “Scoot over Cadey bear, it’s my turn.”

“No, I was here first,” replied Cade. Making himself more comfortable on Leo’s lap.

“Well sorry but he’s mine,” came Brady’s retort.

“Yeah? Well sucks for you because he likes me better, tell him Cleo,” the smug little child now looked at Brady with his smug little grin. “That’s right, we even got each other nicknames.”

“When did I get so famous?” asked Leo. “Okay, I’m really hating this, please don’t fight over me,” he said  sarcastically.

They carried on bickering until Leo kissed both their foreheads and silenced them.

Coming out to his family was the easiest thing Brady ever did. And even after he did, they seemed to love him even more if that was even possible.

In the days to come, Brady gained almost all of the weight he had lost. He’s favorite part about the whole process was the affection he received from Leo. The man fawned all over him, over the smallest of things.

“I hurt my finger,” said Brady. Leo immediately suggested ice but he had other ideas.

“I’d feel better if you put it somewhere warm and wet,” he said then put his finger next to Leo’s mouth expectantly.

“Don’t do this to me,” said Leo, clearly frustrated. “I know I said I wouldn’t engage in any sexual behavior until you were all better but resisting you is way too hard.”

“Do something about it then,” said Brady invitingly.

“No, I owe it to you. I could never forgive myself for putting you through that.”

“But I forgive you. And besides, I’m all better,” said Brady.

Brady hadn’t made it easy, he bent at least a thousand times right in front of Leo. Showcasing his ass. He knew Leo wanted him so badly, with the way his cock always got so excited at the sight of him.

“You know, there is something I can do for you,” said Leo.

“Now we’re talking.”

31. The Jerk

“Come here,” Leo hauled Brady on top of him.

Brady landed with a giggle as he wrapped his hands around Leo.

“Why do you have to be so darn cute?” Leo pulled Brady’s shirt off him while he took his lips against his own. He groaned in pleasure at the act as his fingers toyed around the band of Brady’s pants.

Then he went ahead to fondle him through them and a sigh escaped Brady’s mouth. Lowering him gently on the bed, Leo slid off his pants and got on top of him.

His mouth latched onto a nipple as he circled his tongue around it. Brady’s already hard cock twitched as he let out a soft cry.

“I love everything about you Brady,” Leo’s fingers had replaced his tongue.“

“I love how you pout when you’re embarrassed,” he nipped at a nipple this time.

“I love how you run your mouth at the smallest of things.” Another nip.

“I see how you break your neck to be there for everyone, even when they don’t ask for it.” Another nip.

“How your eyes brighten when you see someone new.” Another nip.

“That sweet as fuck gasp that always escapes you when I do this,” Leo kissed Brady with no warning and sure enough, the other male gasped right before kissing him back.

“Have I told you how perfect you are? Do you even realize it?”

“Tell me again,” said Brady, eyes closed in ecstasy.

“You’re perfect,” said Leo, shaking his head. “Too good to be true.”

Brady’s cock was now engulfed in the warmth of Leo’s mouth and he felt like dynamite ready to explode. Leo didn’t make it so simple, he teased Brady endlessly, wringing out his orgasm as slow as he possibly could.

Brady bit the pillow as he shot jets of come into Leo’s mouth. Leo kept on sucking him till the head of his cock was way too sensitive, releasing his length with a pop sound.

“Better?” Leo asked.

“What are you talking about? Take your pants off, you’re next.”

                        ________________

“Can I buy you a drink?” Leo asked as he settled down next to Alex.

“Ten, if you want me to hold my tongue most of the time,” Alex replied.

“Look, I’m really sorry about leaving just like that.”

“Damn right you are,” said Devi, appearing from nowhere. “Making Alex frown and worry every single day. Not cool at all.” He put a defensive arm around Alex.

Alex’s heart skipped a beat and he tried to play it cool. “Thank you baby, but I have to be selfish. I want the pleasure of verbally kicking his ass all to myself.”

“Devi!” Leo pulled the petite guy into a tight hug. “It’s good to see you, thank you for being by Brady’s side while I was being a jerk.”

“You’re welcome, jerk.”

“Hey! Hey! First you go all MIA on me, and now that you’re back, you get all handsy with my man?” said Alex. “Come here Devi.”

After light banter for a minute or two, Devi walked away and left the two men to talk.

“Seriously though, it felt like a betrayal. Why couldn’t you just tell me? Did I do something? You’ve never not told me anything before and I really took pride in that, because I could always be there for you.”

“You’re my best friend Alex, and I should have told you. I’m really sorry for being such an asshole,” said Leo.

“So you admit that I’m a better man than you?” asked Alex.

“You’re a better man than me Alex, always have been,” Leo answered immediately.

“You admit that I’m awesome?”

“I admit that you’re awesome.”

“You admit that Brady would be better off with a man like me?”

“Don’t push your luck bitch.”

32. Ice Cream

“Ours is the hottest,” said Met.

“Mine’s the most beautiful,” said Alex.

“Mine’s the cutest, and it doesn’t help that he dances like a god,” said Leo.

“You know,” Alex began. “Mine’s also the best in bed.”

He was met with an unrelenting uproar of protests from the other men and only the smirk on his face told them he’d said it on purpose.

The four men sat at the bar watching their guys dance so temptingly. No one admitted how affected they were, not until Jade did something with his waist and hips that his men had a hard time registering.

“Okay that’s just too much,” said Sean, getting up as his eyes remained glued on Jade.

He had to do something, and with the look on Met’s face, he knew they both felt the same way.

                       ______________

Meanwhile on the dance floor…

“What do you think they are talking about?” asked Brady. He’d been moving his body in the several ways he knew how, more than hoping that Leo watched it all.

“I don’t know but I think it’s working,” Devi replied. He’d seen Alex, his lips slightly parted. His eyes wanting so much of him, it was the way his knuckles tightened that told Devi he was definitely doing the right thing.

“Nice work guys, I think they’re coming over,” said Jade.

They’d teased the other men and even touched each other lightly, to get their attention. Not that they didn’t already have it. They didn’t go to extremes by trying to dance with strangers, not if they wanted to bring the roof down and start a fight. That could be for another day.

They pretended not to notice as the other men got closer, turning as they laughed quietly.

They soon parted ways as each of their men came to collect them. Oddly quiet, they seemed. Almost like they were trying to control themselves. That and soothe the beasts inside them.

It was perfect. Leo couldn’t seem to take his eyes off Brady, not even when someone tapped his shoulder lightly. All he could see was the brown eyed guy before him. He loved him so much he was a wreck.

“Are you trying to kill me?” Leo asked as he wrapped his arms around the other man.

Brady bit his lower lip without even realizing it. His eyes met with the man responsible for squeezing his heart with only a look.

“Fuck. I shouldn’t have asked. You really are trying to kill me.”

In the next second Brady was kissed senseless. Fire built up in places it shouldn’t as the sweetest lips denied him the air he needed.

“I love you,” said Brady, breaths still deep.

“I love you too,” replied Leo. “And now I’m going to show you exactly how much.”

When they got back in the car, Brady fished his phone out from his pocket and texted.

‘ice cream tomorrow guys’
